Lovely story! Can't wait for the sequel!
Author's Response: Thank you so very much! The sequal will be up as soon as my muse cooperates with me. ;) Luv, Stef :)
Hermione gets the cat, the flat, the food, and the furniture. Ron gets the family and friends.
Harry gets the boot, his little book, the blame, and the shame. Ginny gets a new bloke and a haircut.
'The One' is an insidious myth, and 'Meant To Be' smacks of a hope to which no one has a right.
It's a shame the two of them bought into it for so long.
And it's too bad old habits are so hard to break.
Excellent writing! I hope you have more for us soon!
Author's Response: Thank you, Chelle74,
Writing time is sparse at the moment, but the next bit is framed in my head. I just need to get it down.
Thank you so much for reading and for the review!
Oh, I'm so glad for a new chapter! I've missed you!! The emotions are so raw in this one. You are really building to a big climax at some point! Please send the next chapter soon. Hugs!
Great story! I'm always excited to see an update posted! Send a new one soon... can't wait to find out what happens next!
p.s. It would be interesting to see the story from inside Draco/Leo's head...
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review - the next chapter's being beta'd! Unfortunately, everything I've written so far is from Hermione's point of view, though I may do some latter chapters from Draco's, I had planned on doing them mostly Hermione's - if only that I want Draco's head space to remain a mystery, both as Leo Wyvern and when he finally regains his memory! I hope you still continue to enjoy the story. ~ Alice
Yea another chapter! It keeps getting better. I really thought it was good that you showed Hermione struggling over how she 'should' feel. It is interesting how people can cling to what is safe and comfortable instead of going for their true passions, which may be more unsure and unpredictable. Excellent as always and I can't wait for the next one!!
That was fantastic! This is truly one of my favorite stories. So glad you're back!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm so happy this is one of your favourites :) The next chapter's being betaed - a little later than I intended, but hopefully I can get it up soon! ~ Alice
At the edge of my seat! Don't keep us waiting too long for the next one!!
I've read your entire series and really enjoyed it! I'm glad you are continuing. Looking forward to the adventures in this series!!
Author's Response: Thank you for the favorable feedback. I've got a big adventure planned for their sophomore year! :-) Jenny
I've read your other Dramione stories and enjoyed them all. This one is a very different take and really well written. I look forward to seeing where you go with it!
Author's Response: This is definitely quite different than anything I've written before, but I'm glad you think it's going well. Thank you for reading!!
Another great story. I actually read "We Happy Few" when you first published it. I really enjoyed and noticed the undercurrents of Hermione and Draco's relationship in that fic (even though it really wasn't a romance). This little vignette was a nice companion to that story. I really enjoy your writing, it has a lot of depth. Please don't forget about "The Runaway". I still check all the time for your updates!! Hope all is well and you had a lovely holiday.
I always love your stories! This one was definitely dark, but that was its category, so I was prepared. Your writing is brilliant. You have wonderful character development and a nice flow to your plot. Enough description to keep the reader's mental picture yet not too much where it slows down the movement of the storyline. I hope you have a new story in the works... Perhaps a Dramonie fic? Quite a few of my favorites seem to have been abandoned and I love all of yours! How's that for a lengthy review?! :-)
Author's Response: Ah, I'm so happy you liked this fic! Yes, it is definitely dark. Not my first foray into horror, but maybe one of the most effective. Even I found it chilling upon re-reading, and I wrote the darn thing! Hahaha Long answer: Funny you should ask! I do have more Dramione stories in the works. One is for a 'remix' fest which will start posting around September, so I should be able to archive it here around October/November, depending on when it finishes up. I've nearly completed another story (romance, again!) that will need to go to beta (maybe I'll post that by December-ish?) Lastly, I'm about halfway done writing a 'paranormal mystery' Dramione, but I have no idea when that'll get done. Short answer: No worries! I have not abandoned you! :D Thank you so much for reading, reviewing, and sticking with me! I know I'm not the most prolific author, but reviews like yours are really so motivating!
Nice beginning! I look forward to reading more.
Yea! I was so excited to see this chapter posted. Excellent re-entry of our "pal" Squid. Goodness, that Baker certainly was a good example of arrogance and stupidity. Looks like some action is up next... Can't wait!
Author's Response: Oh yes, action is imminent! It'll be a bit longer than a week before I post again (I'm going out of the country and won't have computer access), but once I'm back, this story should be wrapped up before the end of March. :) Thank you so much for continuing to read and review!!
And the relationship turns... Thanks for the holiday treat!! Hope yours was lovely as well!
Author's Response: Yes, my holiday was great, but I'm excited to get back to posting again! I hope to have another chapter up by the end of this week. :)
Yea, an update! You are a master at building the tension. Too bad the little grass fight was interrupted... Send the next chapter soon!!
Author's Response: Woo! Thank you! Yes, Estelle has terrible timing, doesn't she? Who knows what would have happened had they been allowed to continue their horseplay? ;) Thank you for reading and reviewing! You're spoiling me, leaving them on every chapter. It's great! :D
Yea! Another chapter! So now the action is heating up and Squid is making his play... The story is getting very exciting and you are very talented with cliff hangers...
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you're still enjoying this!
I am continuing to enjoy your story and the build up of the main characters' relationship. Keep the updates coming! Thanks for not making us wait long!
Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying the progression! I'll try not too make you wait too long, but I can't make any promises with the holidays coming up. ;)
Interesting segway... I wonder what will happen when Hermone returns? And Squid will certainly find out (if he doesn't already know) that Draco has returned home. It seems a turning point... Thanks for the speedy update!! As always, can't wait for the next!
Author's Response: Thank you! I don't know when I'll update next - maybe a week? A week and a half? I'm not going to give anything away re: Squid, but I will agree that their homecoming was definitely a turning point. ;)
Bravo! I guessed correctly about "Ape's" true identity and I even had a sneaking suspicion that "Squid" was a Creevey. I kept second guessing myself on the latter because your character is SO un-Creevey in nature, but I really like how you show what anger and bitterness and a thirst for revenge can do to someone. Now to help Hermione stop the bad guys and finally let the romance happen!!
Author's Response: I figured people would catch on to Ape's true identity pretty easily, and I'm glad I kept you guessing with Squid's. Another reader pointed out that George Weasley could've gone much the same way after Fred's death, and I agree: the loss of a loved one changes you, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. Colin's death hit Dennis hard and, well... You see the results. Thank you so much for reading!
Beautiful end to a compelling story! Thank you for the journey, I really enjoyed that one. I hope to see more from you in the future!!
Author's Response: Ah, I'm glad you enjoyed this. Thank you so much for reading and leaving such great reviews on every chapter! I seem to have lost a bit of traction on this site as far as readers go, and I'm really happy that there are still people out there willing to give me a chance. :)
