Well, I suppose that since I have my first few stories up on the boards, it would be good to create a bio. I am a crazy thirteen-year-old girl with a weird family, weird friends, and EXTREMELY weird imagination. I have been in love with the Harry Potter series for a bit more than two years now (I discovered it the day after Christmas when I was ten years old, about to turn eleven).

My first story on these archives is called Fighting For the Cause. It's about two completely different characters who have the typical Gryffindor-Slytherin hate-and-look-down-on-each-other sort of relationship until the Death Eaters take over Hogwarts. But you'll have to read it to find out more!

The Hungarian Horntail, my first poem, is about...well, you tell me. ;)

Mother Dearest is about Hannah Abbott and her mother. It was a big challenge for me, but hopefully it paid off....

My most recent story is Where They Can't Follow. I am especially proud of this one, and I'm trying extra hard to write it! It's my first Next-Gen story (focusing on Lily Luna Potter) and is a far cry from my original headcanon after reading the Epilogue, but I think that I like it better this way.

Anyways, I am working on a BUNCH of stories just for fun right now that I might post later on. Some of the featured characters include Voldemort, Narcissa Malfoy, and Teddy Lupin...although they aren't in the same story, but rather three different ones! I'll keep you posted about when I'm ready to submit them.

Well, enough of my blabbering! Why don't you go on ahead and scroll down to check out my published works?

How to be Beautiful by BrokenPromise

Rated: 6th-7th Years •

Narcissa Black and Lucius Malfoy were put on earth for each other: the most perfect soulmate the other could find. But life wasn’t going to make it easy for them…

This is a story of young love, stubbornness, misunderstanding and forgiveness. This is the story of them.

I have upped the rating for later chapters. However, most warnings are for milder instances.

This was a pretty good start! :D I find myself hating Letty already; you characterize everyone very well! The description of Snape made me laugh. Can't wait to hear more from you! :)

Author's Response: Letty's not all bad...she's just that giggly and annoying matchmaker friend that everyone has. Glad you liked it, and thanks for reviewing!

Teach My Feet to Fly by Equinox Chick

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Andromeda Black is not a girl who is reckless. Risks are for the foolhardy, and she is too clever for that. But she hasn't factored Ted Tonks' persistence into the equation of her life.

And Ted wants to teach her how to fly ...

This is Equinox Chick of Hufflepuff writing for Round 2 of the Character Clinic Triathlon - Minor Characters. I chose the Music prompt.

The song that Andromeda listens to in this story is River by Joni Mitchell. It is beautiful.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. I am not Joni Mitchell. I am someone who admires both artists greatly.

Ta lotsly to the lovely Natalie (hestiajones) who beta'd this and is a truly fabulous friend.

Oh wowwww this was so beautiful! And the ending was so, so, so sad! I loved the idea of this story. You are such a great writer! :D

Author's Response: Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed the story. The song is utterly beautiful, I'm still singing it *sigh* ~Carole~

Eastern Dawn Stars by Ginny Weasley Potter

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: “Hello,” I said, “what’s your name?”

Her mouth opened a tad and she looked at me, confused. Then she looked at the rubbish bag. “Sahib, kachra?

Scorpius Malfoy travels to India for a Healing program and finds himself in the unlikeliest of situations when he starts to fall for a poor sweeper girl.

This is Ginny Weasley Potter of Hufflepuff house writing Scorpius Malfoy for the second part of the One-Shot Triathlon at the Character Clinic and I would like to dedicate this fic to my very first friend on MNFF: Pauie/ lucilla_pauie. You’re awesome, Pauie!

‘Kachra’ is a Hindi word which directly translates to ‘rubbish’.

Rating is due to the 'sexual situations' warning which is really just a kiss. But I'm not sure how many people will be comfortable with it so I've rated this high.

Noooo! This was so sad. But ... I don't teally understand how she died. Did she kill herself?

Author's Response: I made the reason for Prachi's death vague on purpose... I think I'd like to leave that for the readers to imagine. But... I wouldn't say she killed herself. More like... an accident or a disease (I can envision her getting sick, more than anything else though). Thanks for the review!

Fear and Loathing in Florida (Mostly Loathing) by minnabird

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Scabior and Greyback had to escape the Aurors somehow - they just hadn't expected to end up in Florida.

This is minnabird of Hufflepuff writing for Round Two of the 2012 Character Triathlon.

It earned an honorable mention in that round and won joint first for Best Humour Story in the 2013 Quicksilver Quill Awards.

Ha, serves them right. I'm from Florida too, and I couldn't help but laugh at the 7-Eleven and gator parts. I loved how he thought it was humidified hell and wondered why anyone would go on vacation there. It's AWFUL in the summer, especially if you're from somewhere like England. The part with Greyback and the full moon gave me chills. Great job, I loved this!

Author's Response: High five for living in Florida! Except, yuck, August. Ew. Not gonna lie, I pictured the neighborhood I grew up in for the 7-Eleven and Doritos in an overgrown lot bit. Anyway, glad you liked. :D Thanks for taking the time to read and review.

Good Enough by Acacia Carter

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: O.W.L. results have arrived, and Scorpius is certain his parents will be less than pleased.

This is Acacia Carter of Hufflepuff, writing for the Minor Character Challenge of July 2012.

Many thanks to Julie/Peppermint Toads for the beta, Jess for the nudge to write Scorpius, Gina for the nudge to write this Scorpius, and Soraya for listening to my angst.

Please note that this is a companion piece to another of my works, An Intervention. It can be read alone, but if you are interested in Scorpius's past, the beginnings of it are available on my author page.

It's not my fault I seem to be incapable of writing a story without Neville in it. Really, it's not my fault this time - blame Gina.

Aw! That was so sad and sweet! I'm glad that Rosmerta was able to forgive her Dad in the end. :)

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it - I've been writing far too many depressing stories lately, I needed a happy ending for once. :) Thanks for the review!

Date: 08/16/12 Title: Chapter 1: Stages of Grief

This is very sad. I spotted a few errors (bare instead of bear), but this was fantastic. :)

Author's Response: Thank you, I always thought that George would have a hard time living without Fred so it was bound to be sad, I will try to fix the error if I can figure out how :L

Awaken by iLuna17

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Once Upon a Time ...

Nora has heard tales of beasts and warlocks hidden in the woods by her village. This is rubbish. She has never seen either of them, even in her secret visits into the forest. One night, however, Nora stumbles into a world not quite her own. Where those tales are real.

This is iMusic17 from the house of future Dark Lords (no, not Hufflepuff) writing for the last round of Madame Alex's Triathalon.

You two are so talented! Okay, starting off with Genevieve: that was unnerving. You could really feel her hatred as she stabbed her husband. It was ... chilling. Then with Parvati--it was very nice of her sister to help her. :) With Rose and Scorpius, I could sense the conflicting emotions in Rose. She loves Scorpius, but she regrets lying to her father and running away. And with Albus...oh gosh, that was so sad! I can't believe he acted like that! But I guess if I had a partner who I thought was cheating on me, I would act the same way. You guys are amazing! Will there be a third story?

Author's Response:
Pooja - OMG, thank you so much! :* Yes, wasn't Nadia brilliant with Al and Genevieve? (: I always imagined the Patil twins to be extremely close because-- well, they're twins! And the ScoRose was my favourite to write. : D I've never tried awkward smut before. LOL. I know, I felt terrible for Al too. All Nadia's idea. LOL. She's my evil darling. LOL. And thank you! Thank you soo much! As of now, we believe we have completed the tale and there's no third story, so I guess not. Sorry! There is, however, a third, completely different fic from the two of us which will be up as soon as we're both done with challenge deadlines and stuff. Thank you for reading both our fics, Julie! xoxo
Nadia - Wow, Julie, thank you! Your reviews make me really happy *heart heart heart* I'm so glad you liked how we wrote the stories; they were a lot of fun to write, and I'm happy to know the late night AIMs were worth it. :). As Pooja said, there will probably not be any third story - at least, not now. Maybe in the distant future if we ever find any good ideas we might decide to revive this series, but no promises! Once again, hun, thank you for the awesome reviews. You're amazing. :D

Rita Skeeter: Exposed by expelliarmus17

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: "Attractive blonde Rita Skeeter, forty-three, whose savage quill has punctured many inflated reputations..." She's back, and she's not what you'd expect. Wind's Nocturne by Acacia Carter

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: There is magic the likes of which humans can barely remember and seldom experience. There is, however, a handful of men privileged enough to experience a part of it: the Dryad's Consorts.

Written for the last third of Madame Alex's Character Triathalon!

Many thanks to Maple for the beta; I couldn't see myself sending this one to anyone else.

Anything you recognise is JKR's. Anything you don't recognise is possibly mine, but probably JKR's.

Wood-nymphs, more commonly known as Dryads, are first and last mentioned in the Potterverse by Fleur in Goblet of Fire. In Greek mythology, these cunning magical creatures are entirely female, and must capture and seduce human men in order to bear daughters and heirs to their forests. In other works of literature they are described as bold and highly territorial, with voracious, er, "appetite" for particular intimate activities. So, basically a shy Herbologist's every fantasy...

Diffraction by Equinox Chick

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Diffraction - the phenomenon where light encounters an obstacle.

It is September the first, and a sixth-year boy takes photographs of excited children on platform nine-and-three-quarters. Everyone looks happy, but Aaron Harper's heart is leaden. He can deal with the girl he fancies going out with the obnoxious Hugo Weasley, but coping at Hogwarts with no support from his father could be one obstacle too many.

This is Equinox Chick of Hufflepuff and this is my story for the Character Clinic OC challenge: Prompt 1.

Disclaimer: I'm not JKR: Hogwarts isn't mine, neither is Hugo Weasley, but Aaron Harper and Genister Avery are.

Awww! I remember Genister saving Scorpius, and I'm so very glad to have learned more about her! I remember Harper too, but I don't think that he was described very nicely :P

Hugo, it seems, is his father's son in this. From being a jealous boyfriend to picking fights to having a "large nose," I could completely believe it.

I also liked Sophia :)

Great job, as usual!

Author's Response: Thank you very much. Aaron is also in Swans and all three should be appearing in a new story I'm planning (but not as the main characters).

Can I ask what you meant by this, but I don't think that he was described very nicely ? Do you mean, Harper wasn't described much in High, or that he doesn't seem nicely described in this story? Just contemplating adding a little more to his physical appearance, that's all. :) ~Carole~
