"I have hated the words and I have loved them and I hope I have made them right."
HI! I'm Katie, and I'm in high school in the united states. I like indie music, Matthew Lewis, popcorn, blogging, and Skins UK. I took a long break from the HPFF world but I think I'm ready to start again!
In her seventh year, Katie Bell knew what it was like to fear death. A year later, she learnt what it was like to see it in front of her. Nothing she had ever experienced had prepared her to deal with the aftermath of that. And then he came.
Caught in a whirlwind of Quidditch, heartbreak, and a rivalry, Katie struggled with her jumbled mess of feelings, one of which she hadn't expected but was growing certain that she could never live without.
Oh my freaking Salazar! This story WON TWO 2011 Quicksilver Quill Awards: Best Post-Hogwarts Story and Best Non-Canon Romance Story. *flail*
This (late) update was brought to you by the (belated) birthday of the ever-lovely Hannah / h_vic. She is a star and an excellent friend!
Okay, just a warning, this is going to be a very long review in which I fangirl over your writing and explain things you don't want to hear about. Sorry.
Basically, you're my favorite author on this site. As an author, I look up to you, to be honest. I wish I could describe feelings like you can, portray people the way you do.
I started reading this story a very long time ago but then a went through this faze where I didn't like HPFF as much... I don't know why. I love Harry Potter, but I lost my passion for it for a while. I started writing One Direction Fanfiction (yeah I'm one of those crazy directioner girls) and I figured it couldn't hurt to re-visit the site for the first time in ages.
This story is AMAZING, honestly some of the best writing I've ever read. I love every little piece of this story and to be honest it changed the way I write. I finally decided to come out of my shell and tell you that so I'm sorry if I sound like a really awkward fangirl (...it's true) or if I sound like a stalker or anything like that. ASDFGHJKL your writing is just so beautiful, and this story in particular is amazing.
So I've already read the whole story but I want to review on each chapter anyways... This story deserves a BAJILLION reviews because it's just that good.First of all, my name is Katie... And that's why Katie Bell is one of my favorite characters. Haha.
I love how insecure she is, because everybody is insecure, even witches. Oliver claims he's not good at being nice or sweet or anything but I personally think he does everything he can to make her feel wanted... Now, if only she would listen! Oh, and just so you know, your end notes make me laugh.
Well hey there again :)
I believe "fuckwit" is my new profanity of choice. Honestly, where did you come up with that? :P I hate Coventry. Like really, what an arse. UGH. Even though I'm re-reading this story for the 4th or 5th time, I still love every bit of it. Your writing is just SO amazing. Hehe :)
okay whenever Oliver and Katie kiss I just sit in front of my computer and admit an audible "DAWWWWWWWWW!!!!" they are SO adorable together and even when they are just talking together or being cute I just get all mushy inside :') Ahaha and when she told him "I lied" I started laughing. Thank you for writing this amazing story and putting up with my rather weird/awkward/boring/stupid reviews.
Hi! me again! I'm terribly sorry if my reviews are annoying you, so many in a row. If you want me to stop blabbering just say something :) See, I'm always that girl who spends her life listening to other and never really talks herself so when I review I just go on and on about how lovely things are :)
I really like Katie's dad, I mean he tries at much as he can, doesn't he? I keep telling you this story is amazing and I need to come up with another adjective omg... This story is marvelous. It's mindbogglingly stunning. Astoundingly remarkable. Beautiful. Mind blowing. Get the picture? :D
Summary: For three years, Oliver Wood was an important part of Hermione’s life. He had been there through all the fights, the tears, and the seemingly endless piles of homework. He was her constant when all else fell through.
And now he is leaving.
But how do you say goodbye to the boy who told you what to expect in terms of school and exams, who made your third year bearable, memorable even? Nominated for the 2012 Non-Canon Romance QSQ Award.
I loved this peice. All these little details I hadn't taken much thought to, you turned into an amazing story. I really liked how you portrayed Oliver, too: Sort of like a big brother, always there for Hermione, but not as sibling-ish.
P.S. Congrats! This is the first review I've ever given :) Couldn't be happier to tell you what I think.
Author's Response: Thaks so much! You made my morning, I must say. And its funny how you can twist little canon monents, isn't it? \Maple
Summary: A young girl muses on the difference between her Muggle grandmother's charms and her wizarding uncle's.
Beautiful! The grandmother is this stroy reminds me of my own (though I can't say my uncle's a wizard as well!) The simple love of the grandmother is wonderful. Great poem!!!
