I am a huge fan of fiction, and Harry Potter is one of my favorite series. I discovered Fan Fiction on MuggleNet recently, and I love it! My favorite story is Second Guesses by Acacia Carter.
Summary: It's not easy living in the shadow of genuis. Aberforth Dumbledore contemplates his brother while spending time with his special friend.
For the One-Shot Challenge-Tales of Albus Dumbledore, prompt one. By Sly Severus of Slytherin.
I think that Aberforth sounds pretty close to hatred here. Is he really that jealous? From what I can remember from the books the brothers don't really seperate until Grindlewald.
Author's Response: I'm gonna be honest here, I don't remember, at all. I don't remember writing this story or what it's about... I never much liked the Dumbledore brothers and have no idea why I wrote this fic... I also don't remember much about them as brothers from the books anymore. I'm more of a Death Eater girl.
Summary: I, Ashley Elizabeth, Special Correspondent and Junior Assistant to Rita Skeeter, am about to embark on my first ever interview with one Remus Lupin. My task is to document the life and troubles of how a werewolf copes in these dark times. I only hope that this Lupin isn’t a good looking chap, because I have been known to go on tangents with the male species. Let us pray.
Very nice! I wish you could have continued it, or given a little more information on what happens next. I really like it!
Summary: James and Lily didn't wake up one morning and find they were in love with each other...but two mornings in particular were a help. So were two letters written in purple ink.
I have a hobby of reading pretty much anything I can get my hands on, and so I have gone through a lot of fan fiction. Most of the time, the characters are flattened and lifeless, with people reusing scenes from the books, but this story made Lily and James real people to me for the first time. I have read your other James/Lily stories and they are all equally amazing, but this one just rocked my world.
Summary: From the ancient and noble house of Black to the obscurity of being Muggleborn, seventh year just promised to be another school year, although their last. Andromeda is testing her boundaries and the limits placed upon her. She's rebelling a bit from the ideals that she was brought up with. Ted is just living in the moment, still trying to decide what he wants to be. Fighting with habitual messiness and lack of organization, the cheerful, happy-go-lucky Hufflepuff soon finds himself in the midst of something he hadn't expected. Two unlikely characters, a spark of life, and the awkwardness of repeated encounters leads to more than they expected out of their seventh year.
I'm sorry for the long wait for the next chapter. It's finally finished. I graduated high school in 2010 and then entered college. It was quite a stressful time and quite the transition. I also lost the chapter once when my computer crashed. I had struggled with it for so long (writer's block) and when it was almost done, there it went into technological oblivion. I was so frustrated, I couldn't bring myself to try rewriting it until recently.
That quote at the end is from Gone with the Wind. Rhett says it. (I think). I really like your story. Good job!
Summary: An unexpected mission has Sirius teasing Remus about his standards--which leads Remus to do something even more unexpected. (Contains sexual innuendo--but with a title like that, what else would you expect?)
Keep writing! Make it longer! There are so many good stories out there that are dying for a longer ending! This story is epic!
Author's Response: I've thought about writing a 'sequel' to this, but just never have gotten around to it. Maybe someday. Thank you for saying such sweet things!
Summary: Over the course of eight chapters, this story will capture fragments of Teddy Lupin’s early life, where Harry tells him about his parents and tries to help him understand who they were and why they died.
Final chapter is up!!!
This chapter made me cry, and I don't cry very easily. It is beautiful.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, I'm just really touched by a response like that! Thank you so much, I'm so glad you are enjoying this story
