Summary: She said he couldn't change. Discovering his true heart's desire made him want to try. Can Severus Snape reclaim what was lost before it's too late? LE/SS
I really, really, really love this story! I know it seems unlikely, but please write more - you did very well in creating a beautiful tone.
Summary: (AU following OotP) When Ginny stumbles upon a young Tom Riddle passed out in a remote Hogwarts passageway, she resolves to have nothing to do with him. However, as he becomes more entangled in her life, Ginny is drawn into protecting Riddle from himself - if she can first protect herself from him.
I really enjoyed the first three chapters, are you planning to continue? If not, you should! I think it will be really interesting to see how Tom turns out, he is also one of my favourite HP characters. I think you have created the perfect character voice for Ginny, PLEASE update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review! I am definitely planning to continue... I'm sorry I have not done so earlier. I lose track of where I have updated this story and where I have not. I hope you'll keep reading and I'll do Tom and Ginny justice!
“You and I, we'll be young forever!” *
After a long, interesting, sweltering summer the Marauders are back for their sixth year, and they feel as though their teenage lives have only just begun.
James has been pursuing Lily for years, and he sure as hell isn't going to give up now. Sirius might actually be falling in love (though of course that can't be possible, can it?), and Remus is struggling with problems in his own family. Meanwhile, Peter has to decide how much worth he can put on friends who he will never live up to. And then there's Lily Evans, a girl who's starting to fall for the very man she swore not to. Diana McKinnon, her best friend, keeps finding herself staring at a certain grey-eyed Gryffindor, even though every piece of logic she has tells her that he's trouble.
But even though there's the looming danger of NEWTs, pranks, oily Slytherins, and physical education, a much bigger problem has presented itself. The Marauders' sixteen-year-old world isn't the safe place it used to be. There are rumors of danger and dark magic throughout the school, and of a powerful dark wizard named Voldemort. The Gryffindor sixth years have to decide where their true allegiances lie and how much they are willing to sacrifice for a war that seems impossible to win.
*Title and quote taken from the lyrics of Katy Perry's summer hit Teenage Dream.
Note 3/26: Ok guys so I know that I haven't updated in forever, but I promise I'll finish the story! I'm struggling with some stuff, but hang in there, I haven't forgotten.
Lots and lots and lots of love, Olivia
I sincerely hope that you will be writing more to this story! You have a 'Sirius' talent! - See what I did there! XD
Author's Response: Hey, thanks! :) Hmm... Chapter Nine... yeah this might be a while. I'll try to get it done, though! ~Olivia
Barty Crouch Jr. and Regulus Black; two boys with different expectations thrust upon them.
This is the story of how their paths cross, merge and then divide, leading towards two different endings; one tragic, one heroic.
"The Death Eaters, I want to join." I stared at him. His blue eyes were steady, his mouth set. He looked resolute. He had thought this over.
And then I got it. I finally got Sirius.
Nominated for Best Dark/Angsty Story in the 2011 Quicksilver Quills and for Best Marauder Era in 2012. Thank you so much!
Really well written, it captures both of the boys' feelings perfectly! Please continue writing!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! The next chapter is on its way...
Summary: Lucius Malfoy was killed in the Final Battle, with his one wish firmly carried out. He made sure that his son Draco, would be loyal to and see the rise of the Dark Lord. The problem? Harry defeated Voldemort.
Having been locked inside his own head for a year, Draco Malfoy participated in a fictionalized battle. When he comes out of it, he's in St. Mungo's. He's learned about his condition...but it's a lot to wrap his head around.
Draco's told that he is part of a program titled Healer-To-Home. He will go live in a witch or wizard's household for as many months as the experiment will allow. He doesn't know with whom he's going to be matched with, and he's not sure he wants to...
Hermione Granger, from the good of her heart, agrees to participate in the cooperative experiment. Healer-To-Home will ensure that someone benefits from the program. Hermione knows that the patient's healing will happen better if they are surrounded in memories, but she doen't quite know how that should work. She also hasn't received the patient's name after months of learning the details of his specific 'injuries'.
Something is developing between patient and home-Healer. Is it just hormones of adolescents on the brink of adult-hood, or is it true love?
Please, please, please tell me there is more in store! I think you have captured the characters really well, and can't wait to read more!
“Lord Voldemort has never had a friend, nor do I believe that he has ever wanted one.”
-Dumbledore, HBP, ch 13
Dumbledore was rarely wrong, only once did Lord Voldemort desire a friend. It started out as only a game, but became so much more…
This is the story of how the teenaged Tom Riddle met a unique individual and slipped from cold indifference, to affection, to friendship, to romance. Discover how even Voldemort’s cold and callow heart was once broken beyond repair. This is for anyone curious about how an imperfect love warped and twisted a corrupt young man into the Dark Lord.
This story is so amazing! I can't actually believe that I want things to work out for Tom!! Please continue writing, you have a real talent!
Author's Response: I was surprised at how much I wanted things to work out for them too. I had originally meant for their relationship to have deteriorated earlier in, but keep wanting to give them just a few more moments of happiness. I don't think I'm giving anything away in saying that ultimately, the relationship of Tom and Lydia will not have a happy ending; we all know what Tom becomes and that Lydia isn't in the picture when Harry Potter meets him. That being said, part of me really wants to keep them together and explore where that would have taken them. Would there have been a Dark Lord and Dark Lady? Would Lydia have been able to redeem Tom? I think I mentioned in response to a review several chapters ago that Lydia's Patronus being an eagle was actually because in animal symbolism, the eagle can retrieve lost soul parts, which is because I figured if anyone could ever have had a chance of helping Tom reassamble his fragmented soul, it was her. (Huh... I might have to write an AU one-shot once this is complete.)
Thank you for reviewing!
Summary: It's after the war and Voldemort has won, leaving the wizarding world decimated and all those not of pureblood status dubbed less than human. Hermione must find a way to live in a world that no longer wants her, and when Ginny's youngest child Lily is put into danger, she turns to the least likely person for help and sells herself to the Death Eaters in exchange for saving Lily. Darkfic, post Hogwarts, AU.
I am really enjoying your story, please continue to write more- I'm hooked!
Summary: After the end of Voldemort, a new academic year has started at Hogwarts with Harry, Ron and Hermione as NEWT students. Most of the Slytherins have not returned but Draco Malfoy has. His arrogance and self righteousness have gone along with the vanished honor of his family in the wizarding community. He is woken from a dream to face reality with burning desire to regain his lost pride, with no short cuts this time. Will he be given the chance to prove himself? Hermione does not know how much her decision is going to change both their lives forever.
I love the complete change in Draco's character it captures his fall from grace perfectly, please continue this story, I am curious to see what happens next!
