To whoever wants to read this, I can tell you that I'm a human. I'm hopelessly addicted to Harry Potter, and have been for a long time, I think that explains my annoying presence.
I find it harder to read and write non-canon fics.
I love writing, so I'm giving a stab at writing fanfic, and I can now say that I appreciate all of the authors on here about a gazillion times more. :P I hope that somebody will enjoy my work, but critique away! :D :D :D
Summary: After the disastrous events of the end of the Marauder's fifth year, a fuming Lily Evans decides that that arrogant James Potter and his friends need a taste of their own medicine. The straight-laced Prefect suddenly finds herself pranking her class's trickiest boys--and maybe even enjoying it. Coupled with a series of mysterious apology letters that Lily has begun receiving, it's bound to be an interesting year.
Winner of the 2010 QSQ for Best Canon Romance!
I don't know if I've ever reviewed, but I might have. I came back to reread this 'cause I forgot that I had already read it! :P
Anyway, I'm only singing praise! This was fantastic- off to the sequel I go! Just curious, are you planning another one to make this a trilogy?
Great job! I love your writing! :D :D :D
Author's Response: awww i'm so glad you like it :) and yeah actually the third one is in the works now!! i'm just waiting until i've written a few more chapters to start posting it--i wanna have a buffer so i'll be able to do regular updates even when life gets crazy :)
Summary: In Britain, there are two birthdays that are waited for with bated breath by witches and wizards alike. The first is turning eleven. This birthday brings an owl bearing a letter to Hogwarts.
For some, getting their letter does not go as planned. In this series, you will discover the day several witches and wizards received their letter and why it wasn’t just a normal day.
I wish to thank my beta, Alyssa (harry4lif).
I do not own anything your recognise in this story. It all belongs to J.K. Rowling. I am just thankful to be able to play in her world for a little while.
Please, please, please update this story! :D I think it's fantastic!
Author's Response: I am currently working on updating all of my unfinished stories. So, keep an eye out for an update soon. I can't promise when, but there will be an update coming. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review!
Summary: “Guilt brings people together. It’s a takes one to know one type thing.”
James Potter has always been a spoiled, arrogant, lazy show-off. When he enters his final year at Hogwarts School, he’s Head Boy . . . and he’s still a spoiled, arrogant, lazy, show-off. But because of that terrible summer, he’s also guilt-ridden.
Lily Evans has always been a self-righteous, impatient, temperamental know-it-all. When she begins her last year at Hogwarts, she’s Head Girl . . . and still a self-righteous, impatient, temperamental know-it-all. But the first night back — and the murder that takes the entire school by surprise — leave her guilt-ridden as well.
With the darkness that’s surrounding the Wizarding world slowly seeping, at long last, onto the grounds of Hogwarts and into the lives of James Potter and Lily Evans, what comes next?
I absolutely love this story! You write the best (torturing for the reader :P) cliffhangers in all your stories! A perfect epilogue that really ties things up, too! You could honestly be JKR writing backstory... So, are you? :D
Are you writing anything currently?
Summary: A one-shot fic where Teddy Lupin goes to The Younger Malfoys to have lunch with them for the first time. A lot of hope for the future hangs on the success of this lunch. Read to find out what happens. ;-)
Nominated for a Quicksilver Quills in the Best Post-Hogwarts Fic category. Thank you Ari!
This was fantastic! One thing though, your dialogue seems stiff, you should use some more contractions, but otherwise, this was one of my favourites!
Author's Response: This was my early writing D: Back then, I think I had some subconscious vendetta against contractions. Hopefully, over the years, I've improved. Thanks for reviewing, though! I am happy you liked it.
Oh, one more thing, what house is Scorpius in?
Author's Response: D: This was my earliest personal canon regarding the three kids, and honestly, I can't remember. :/ I do think I put him in Ravenclaw, though.
Summary: It is April 1976, and Minerva McGonagall sits in her office, arranging biscuits on a plate. She knows she faces a stormy afternoon because today is the day she has to advise her four most troublesome students on their future. They call themselves the Marauders; they think they want the same thing, but Minerva knows that the differences between them will not work in everyone's favour. And so, she steels herself for a very difficult day.
This is Equinox Chick submitting her final for the MWPP class.
Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling, but I doubt that shocks you.
This story is very much a prequel to The Lions of Gryffindor, but either can be read without knowledge of the other.
In shock at the nomination for a 2009 QSQ award.
Great, I love McGonagall's attitude!
Author's Response: Thank you very much for the review. I loved writing McGonagall, she can be quite amusing. ~Carole~
Summary: Ginny and six-year-old James Sirius spend a day like Muggles. He demonstrates his lack of knowledge of Muggles in many ways, but in one area, he knows a little more than his mum...
I love this story, I don't think I reviewed this, so I came back to read it again! One edit though, you wrote âThe same things you ordered ordered" above, and I think that it would make more sense if you wrote it as "The same things you already ordered".
All summer, Percy has been anxiously awaiting that moment he knows with change his life: the day he arrives at Hogwarts. But with all his expectations, will he be prepared for what the Sorting Hat has to tell him?I am ahattab33 of Hufflepuff, and this is my entry for the Hufflepuff Back to School Challenge.
I enjoyed this, but I didn't think Ginny was 11 years younger than Percy? Unless I miss understood the line, "This year, he now had a brand new sister as well".
Summary: Even as a grown woman, Parvati Patil still has a small box that holds her memories. A fraction of the countless letters she received from her best friend (and copies of the letters she sent her) and notes passed between them at school are in there too - and even a page of the diary she hardly ever used.
One part of those old letters are the only reminder of Parvati's first love; a love never openly admitted to, and a love never requited.
This is Karaley Dargen of Gryffindor writing for the Great Hall February Month of Love Challenge, First Love Prompt
This is so funny! It sounds so real. One question, are the exchanges between Parvarti and Lavender notes or speech? Fantastic job- a great look at Parvarti and Lavender's friendship- there isn't much about the two of them in the books, 'cause Lavender spent too much time kissing Ron and not enough talking... :P
Author's Response: Oh, I only just noticed your review (haven't been getting review notifications for a while now...) -- thank you so much for it! I still quite like Parvati and Lavender, because they were such close friends and don't get nearly enough attention. The exchanges are notes written in class. Everything in there is stuff that can be kept in a box under your bed, basically. I'm glad you liked it! Thank you very much for taking the time to review, it means a lot!
Summary: Rolanda Hooch thought her first year teaching (when she had to control Bellatrix Black) would always be her worst year. But then she'd hadn't met a messy-haired Gryffindor, his equally cocksure friend, and a red-haired witch with a penchant for revenge.
Sometimes she wished she'd never taken the job at Hogwarts.
This is Equinox Chick of Hufflepuff and this is my entry for the I Challenge Thee Challenge held in Fiction Junction over at the MNFF beta boards.
I accepted a challenge by Karaley Dargen which was
Write about James I. first flying lesson. It does not go well.
Thank you to Lexi (Harry Rulz) for beta'ing this fic for me.
Disclaimer: I'm not JK Rowling. If that honestly surprises you then perhaps you should check into the Priory.
Oh, I love this!
Author's Response: Thank you very much. This was fun to write. ~Carole~
Summary: He had been meandering though the distance for ages, unsure of what she would say in the final moment.
Song lyrics taken from U2’s The Sweetest Thing. And I am not J.K.Rowling.
Wow! This was fantastic! I love the transformation of James and Lily!
Lovely! I can't remember if I've ever reviewed this- but it sure does deserve one! I love all your stories- your writing improves with every one! :D :D :D
Author's Response: Thank you! :D Your reviews have brightened my day :)
Scorpius had never looked forward to anything the way he looked forward to leaving Hogwarts with Rose. He planned a holiday with no friends, no family, and nothing to do but be together—until a tampered Portkey changed their destination.
Wow! I love this one- a great continuation of Our Little Secret! Does Rose ever show/give Scorpius the Green Knight poster?
Author's Response: 'That question will be answered in the one shot that comes next . . . The Green Knight Rises. :D
Summary: Lily and James strike up a friendship after James outgrows his habit of asking Lily out on a daily basis. Once Lily thinks she is free of his habit, James asks her out for butterbeers and realizes that she might have just accidentally agreed to go on a date with James after all. (Three-part L/J one-shot)
This was really well written. Also very cute! Do you have any stories that you'll submit any time soon? :D
Summary: James Potter is Head Boy and Gryffindor Quidditch captain in his seventh year at Hogwarts. He has three best friends and his life seems perfect--except that Lily Evans, the only girl he's ever loved, can't stand him.
Lily Evans is Head Girl and top of their class. She's always been disgusted by James' arrogance, yet she can't seem to stop blushing when he's around.
As their Head Boy and Girl duties bring them together, can James find a way to win Lily's love?
A Different Kind of Magic has been nominated for the 2011 Quicksilver Quills: Best Canon Romance. Thank you!
Wow! There's nothing that you could possibly improve about this story, except you could post the next chapter! :D Any hint what will happen next?
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the lovely review & for reading! :) I'll try to post the next chapter more quickly than this one...which isn't saying much since it took me five months to post Chapter 14, lol. I can say that the plot will thicken, and that even though Lily got all her feelings out (very loudly, I might add) the drama isn't quite over between her and James.
Summary: Natasha Osborne- better known as Tash- is a perfectly normal girl living in Australia. She's got all the problems that a normal teenage girl has: quarrels, boys, studies, and the list can go on and on. But when her father is transferred to England, she has to attend Hogwarts. When Tash meets the Boy-Who-Lived, her perfect world turns upside-down.
Natasha Osborne learns the secret her family have been hiding since she was a year old.
She learns her whole identity was a lie.
Follow Tash through her seventh, but first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Warnings for violence and self injury are strictly for later chapters.
Continue please! Very exciting! Why have I got suspicions about who Natasha actually is? :P I'm quite curious about whether or not I'm right. It is hard to update when school's going on, but pretty please, update soon!
Keep up the good work! :D :D
Author's Response: Yay thank you! I'm really glad you liked this. I'm done with school, but I've currently got my hands full with a lot of RL stuff >.<. I'll try to update ASAP! And let's see whether your suspicion is right ;-). Thanks again for the review! -- Nadia
Summary: What if the characters in the Harry Potter films were portrayedâ”not by actorsâ”but by the book versions of themselves, as created by Rowling? How might things unfold on that set? What would the characters think of the changes made from the stories theyâd already lived out⌠to the ones written for the script?
This fic is a series of one-shots, posted as chapters, each from the perspective of a different character who is dealing with the changes occurring between the book and the script.
Holy Movie Canon, Batman! This fic won the 2011 Quicksilver Quill Award for Best Chaptered Humor Story. Thanks so, so much!
You made my day. Thanks for updating! It was definitely a pleasant surprise, and a fantastic chapter as well.
Honestly, the first time I saw HBP, I had no idea what was going on with the Burrow burning. I went back to check my book to make sure I hadn't forgotten something crucial. You did a great job with Molly and Arthur, and everybody else.
While you might not choose to do a scene with dead characters, like Lily and James, I was wondering what you would do in place of having the real characters there. Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to the next chapters! :D :D :D
Author's Response: Yeah, dealing with dead characters is the real difficulty of this fic. In all but the first chapter, these scenes reflect relationships and attitudes of the characters after the whole story has been told, and really, some of those characters should be dead. It's the one issue I've never figured out how to get around, and in the end, I'm just asking readers to suspend their disbelief on that one. In DH, it will be especially difficult, as it will be that much farther along in the story, and that much more obvious that certain characters are gone. I have a scene in the Burrow for that one, and have just left Fred absent because I think it makes it a bit easier for the reader. Or at least, I hope so. Thanks for bringing this up. I wish I had a better answer for you. Definitely will not be dealing with any characters who died early in (or before) the series though. It's hard enough managing the ones who die in DH.
I came back to read this, and I'm loving it every bit as much as I loved it the first time. :D
It's gotten better too. :P Are you planning to continue with this? Keep up the good work! :D :D :D
Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much. I am planning to continue but my follow-through kind of sucks right now. The next chapter is actually mostly written, but I'm not feeling as good about it as I have the others. Hopefully I'll get motivated to fix it up and post soon. Thanks so much for coming back to reread, and taking the time to review. I appreciate it!
Summary: "I hate to be the bearer of bad news — but this is war, Evans, and war isn't a big barrel of laughs."
Ten steps to growing up, told in ten moments from the first war. *Two-shot*
Perfect. I have no other words for this! It captures everything perfectly! :D
Summary: The sequel to âTricksterâ: The Marauders return to Hogwarts for their seventh and final year. Lily and James juggle more responsibility than ever, and James learns that convincing Lily to go on an actual date with him is harder than he would have imagined. Remus frets about post-Hogwarts life while Peter drifts even further from his friends. But when Sirius discovers a group of fourth-years who are bound and determined to steal the Maraudersâ title of Greatest Hogwarts Troublemakers he wages war, rallying his friends so they can maintain their legacy. Meanwhile, outside the castle grounds, Voldemort is gathering supporters in unending preparation for a much darker battleâŚ

September 2012: HEY guess what I couldn't wait, and the third installment, "World Enough," is UP NOW under James/Lily. Or just under my name. Or at this link: http://fanfiction.mugglenet.com/viewstory.php?sid=92131. Yay! :D
Ouch- and here I was thinking Petunia could be actually nice. :P Good job!
