I am a huge Harry Potter fanatic, and I love writing anything. I currently have two complete stories (The Gentleman He Used to Be and The Victory of the Lions), but I've got many works in progress or beta-ing. Here are some of my HP stats:
Favorite book: The Deathly Hallows (which else?)
Least favorite book: The Prisoner of Azkaban
Favorite movie: The Order of the Phoenix
Least favorite movie: The Chamber of Secrets
Favorite main character: Hermione
Favorite supporting character: Umbridge (that's what made OotP such a good movie)
Favorite canon ship: Ron/Hermione (they were MEANT FOR EACH OTHER!
Least favorite canon ship: Bill/Fleur
Favorite non-canon ship: Remus/James
Least favorite non-canon ship: Hermione/Snape (really?)
Favorite category: Next Generation
Least favorite category: Humor (so many "humor" fics really just aren't funny)
Describe who you are as a writer / your writing style:
I write to become a better writer, and because I love it. Words are my passion, but I don't consider myself to 'spin' or 'weave' them. I like exploring tone, reactions, and characterization. I enjoy writing about children because you can get away with a lot of far-out ideas that would never occur to an adult.
What to expect from me:
I write for fun, and for the love, not for any other benefits. I'm not usually a serious writing, although I enjoy a fair amount of drama. I occasionally take a turn for the dark side, but for the most part, I like to keep it light: family, friendship, adventure, that sort of thing!
Name areas of writing in which you excel:
I write for the plot, not the miniscule details. You'll never find that so-and-so did whatever-he-ddid because of whatever-he-found was in wherever-it-was in chapter whichever-it-was. Once I write something, I move on, and I don't end up relating chapter one to the epilogue very much. In a way, I suppose this could also be called my biggest writing weakness.
What type of stories do you prefer to write:
I like any story that I can churn out, as long as I really feel a sense of ownership. I love the feeling after I've spent a good two or three hours on the keyboard. My hands are hot, my brain is fried, and my document is riddled with mistakes, but the story is the best. I wish I could write a super-long fic, but as was previously mentioned, these require a lot of attention to small details. I may just have something in mind, though.
What type of stories do you dislike:
I like canon-compliant stories, because I often learn new things about the books, but it's not good to be so canon that it's basically copied from the books. If I read a fic that has loads of ideas from JK Rowling without an original spin on them, I get bored and frustrated. I like a bit of adventure and exploration on the writer's part, because that makes a fic memorable.

Summary: In the years following Voldemort's victory in the second war, Muggle-borns must become slaves and servants to pure-bloods in order to survive. Over time, Hermione Granger has learned to suppress her pride and independence in households where she is considered lower than dirt. She thought she would be prepared for this new family, just like she was for all the previous ones. What she didn't know was that this new family was none other than Draco Malfoy's. Will she manage hold up when she finds herself struggling to withhold her sharp tongue, returning hatred, and...something else?
The last chapter of this story has been posted! Thanks for reading :)

No, it was good that Hermione told SOMEBODY, but I always figured it would be her mirror and Kathryn would overhear and then let it slip without realizing what it meant. I was a little unsure about it being Blaise, but hm, I guess I'll see how this works out.
Yes, this chapter was a lot like Beauty and the Beast, but that's fine by me, because I love Beauty and the Beast. I didn't really like how there was no follow up of the bathroom scene in this chapter, and yet that was only the first half, know what I mean. It's kind of awkwardly placed in the story.
Woah, this chapter was intense. Oh man, Pansy is gonna be so pissed. Is that what happens to every girl Draco gets with?
Yeah, I think this is my favorite chapter so far. I feel really bad for Jeanne!
Wow, it's like a secret shrine for Iris, although it's interesting that Draco hasn't visited in a long time. I can't wait to see how this is going to end!!
Hee hee aw, this was a cute but sad chapter. I hope Pansy can fall in love!!
Go Draco! Go Draco! Wow, this one was a good chapter, those Death Eaters are complete butholes!!!
Meh, I'm honestly not bothered what happens, as long as I'm entertained. I hate it when people ask other people to do a specific thing with a fic, cause I just think, "Get lost, it's not yours anyway! Let the author worry about it!"
Oh my gosh, one of these days, Pansy is going to do something about her!! Or him!!!
Ugh, I don't get Pansy sometimes. SHE NEEDS TO GET A BACKBONE! THAT'S HER HUSBAND, NOT HER FREAKIN SLAVE DRIVER!!
Hee hee I liked this chapter! These two really are cute together!! More kissing!!! And bad Hermy-one, forgot to ask about Thomas!!! TUT TUT!!
Oh noes, we all know how this will end... SHE'S GONNA KILL THOMAS AND BLAME VOLDEMORT!!!!!
Ha ha, poor Hermione. I don't get Draco... He he.
Wow wow, I liked the end of this chapter, and I officially hate Draco now. I still think she should kill Thomas!
Heh, I always knew that Draco would turn out as good in the end.
NOOOOOOOOOOO! *continues scream of anguish* Just no. That shouldn't have happened. They should have run away together!!!
Okay, so my theory for the epilogue's metaphor is that Draco felt guilty in life that he never loved Hermione completly and that there was always some of Iris in her, so that when she came to visit him in death he extinguished the final remnants of their love as a last act to Hermione that allowed her to move on. Basically, I think somehow Draco was responsible for the raindrop that hit the rose. All in all, a great story! I mean, one of my favorite fanfictions so far!

Summary: As their two sons set off to begin their new lives at Hogwarts, Draco and Harry struggle to find closure to their old ones. Light HP/DM, so-light-that-it's-almost-nonexistent AS/S, contains DH spoilers.
02/27/08: The lovely aku_rin has translated this fic into Italian! To read her translation, click here. She will also be translating this fic's sequel, Fragile, into Italian, and I'll post the link to that when it's finished :)
Hee hee this one is very good. I like how different it is from the average Drarry, which are boring. Cool story, and very well written!

Summary:
Teddy Lupin's first year at Hogwarts. Canon-compliant. Nominated for a 2008 QSQ for best Post-Hogwarts story.
The war is over, and all is well, they say, but the wounds remain unhealed. Bitterness divides the Houses of Hogwarts. Can the first children born since the war's end begin a new era, or will the enmities of their parents be their permanent legacy?
Ha ha I literally could not stop reading this!! Yeah, there definitey needs to be a sequel, and we get to see what Ophilia makes Teddy do! Did Chloe die, or was that just me? I was bawling at that part, and then again as Alduin and Myrtle disappeared. OMG SEQUEL SEQUEL I WILL NOT REST UNTIL THERE IS A SEQUEL!!!
Harry Potter and the Hero's Lament by L A Moody
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 222]
Summary: With McGonagall firmly entrenched as Hogwarts’ new headmistress, Harry is enticed to return for his seventh year under unique conditions. Aided by Ron and Hermione, he embarks upon a Horcrux search-and-destroy mission using the school as the base of operations. Recognizing that saving the wizarding world from the ultimate evil is a rather daunting task for a seventeen-year old wizard, the Order of the Phoenix steps in to assist Harry on his journey. It soon becomes clear, however, that not everyone has the same lesson plan in mind for our hero. As the headmistress attempts to lay a clever trap to reveal hidden agendas, Voldemort waits in ambush at the one site that Harry is sure to visit.
But before Harry can face his nemesis, he must face down the inner demons that plague his own life and truly grow into adulthood. His activities are punctuated with school pranks, Quidditch, parties, and the requisite amount of rule-breaking that readers have come to expect from the trio.
Wow, oh m god, it was like the eighth Harry Potter book. It's been so long since I started this story that I can't remember how it began, but it was amazing!
Author's Response: I’m so thrilled you felt it captured the spirit of the first seven books! I was so determined to take the elements at the end of HBP and weave them completely differently from the way JKR did in DH. Like Harry, I too felt a need to escape into an alternate universe that allowed some of my favorite characters to survive.
