Summary: Each of us wears a mask. It is invisible to many and visible to some. But what happens to us when we take off the mask? What happens when we’re given a third chance at life to make things right?
Severus Snape has been given this exact opportunity. Since his death, Snape finds himself somewhere stuck between the veil and the Wizarding world. As Snape finds himself moping around his old flat, he has unexpected visitors that change the rest of his existence. Can the trio help Severus? And will he, the man in the mask, revel more of his past?
I'm really enjoying your story so far! I always thought that Snape should have had a better end. More soon please! :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad that you like it. I'll try to update soon. Thank you for the review! ~MJ
Summary: Snape and Celie are awaiting the birth of their children in the third sequel to The Accidental Godmother, but all is not what it seems in the tiny village of Honeysuckle, England.
Oh my goodness! There are so many things I loved about this chapter! Snape's apprehensions about being alone with his daughters and how he kept checking on them was so sweet. It's amazing to see Snape's transformation from revulsion at the thought of children to proud parent. It is already so apparent that he loves his daughters very much and wants them to feel loved in a way that he never experienced. I especially loved the ending as well. Poor Celie! I hope she'll stop blaming herself soon. Another great chapter, can't wait for the next!
Author's Response: Thank you for such a complimentary review! Your sweet words really mean the world to me! :) I also thought that Snape's concern about repeatedly checking on the girls during the night was really cute. I'm glad that you find it believable for him to want to work so hard to ensure that his children never experience the same misery that he faced as a boy. Although he is still learning how to care for the girls, at least he knows what he should NOT do. I think that is an important first step for him as he matures into becoming a confident parent. As for Celie, she'll be working through her guilt during the next chapter when she returns to the cottage. Thank you for sending me a review and I truly hope that you enjoy the upcoming chapter! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
So many great things about this chapter! I'm really glad Celie is getting back to normal, its been hard to see her so miserable! I love Harry's reaction to Snape trying to calm Celie. He really couldn't believe that he was looking at the same person. Lastly, I just have to say that Snape bribing his daughter with jewelry was priceless! Another great chapter, can't wait for the next!
Author's Response: It's wonderful to hear from you again! :) I'm so glad to know that you enjoyed the chapter. Like you, I am relieved that Celie is recovering and almost back to normal. Poor Harry, he just keeps getting surprised by his former professor. Personally, I think that it's good for Harry to see Snape in a new light every now and then to remind him that Snape's personality has many facets and that he is not merely the unpleasant teacher from his youth, but is a complicated man with degrees of both kindness and cruelty in his nature. As to the jewelry bribe, that will be detailed in the next sequel; I've already got a few things planned out for the scene when Snape fulfills his end of the bargain at the jewelry store. Thank you for your complimentary review and I hope that you enjoy the next chapter! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
So exciting! I enjoy your stories very much and think you capture Snape's thoughts in a really neat way. I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter to see how he handles fatherhood! Great work! :)
Author's Response: It's lovely to hear from you for the first time! :) I'm so happy to hear that you are liking my stories and how I am portraying our favorite Potions Master. I hope that you enjoy the next chapter and thank you so much for sending me a review! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
Summary: The fourth sequel to The Accidental Godmother showcases a variety of moments in the lives of the recently expanded Snape family.
Great chapter as always! It was good to see some time between Snape and Ashley. I'm interested to see what the girls' reaction will be when Snape tells them about his past, that's gonna be hard for him. I can't wait to see which houses they get sorted into (Ashley's obviously going to be in Slytherin)!
Author's Response: I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed the latest chapter! :) I hope that the next chapter lives up to your expectations. Snape's explanation of his past will definitely be hard on him, so expect a little bit of angst. As for the girls' Sorting, you'll just have to wait and see if your prediction about Ashley's House is correct. Thanks for continuing to read and review! I can't wait to hear from you again! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
Snape with bows in his hair had me laughing so hard! Ashley is quite the mischievous one! keep it coming! :)
Author's Response: I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed the chapter so much! :) Ashley will definitely be providing more mischief in the upcoming chapters. Thanks for the review and I hope that you like the next chapter, which should be posted soon. :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
I think you did a great job of capturing Snape's character. His fears of becoming like his father and failing in his role of parent and husband seems very real. Awesome chapter, can't wait for the next!
Author's Response: Thank you for your many sweet compliments! :) My great hope for all of my posted stories has been to portray Snape's character as truthfully as possible, considering that his character wasn't fleshed out as much as the other main HP characters. Although I am taking liberties, I've always tried to make assumptions based on the relatively few facts that J.K. has provided us concerning his character throughout the books. I think it's safe to say that Snape is a very emotionally scarred person, who would have great difficulty forgetting his past. I'm truly happy to hear that you thought my depiction of him was appropriate. Your review really made my day! Thanks for continuing to be a loyal reader and reviewer! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
I think I smiled the whole time I read this! The interaction between Snape and Violet is so sweet. Another great job, can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Thank you for your sweet review. It's great to hear that this chapter was "smile-worthy!" :) The next chapter should be approved soon; I hope that you enjoy it! Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
I couldn't help but laugh when the subject of grandchildren came up, Snape seemed so horrified! It was good to see Snape confronting Violet about her shyness as well. He obviously doesn't want her to make the same mistakes he did. I'm quite sad that things are coming to an end for the "Accidental" series, but I'm excited and curious for what you'll be writing next!
Author's Response: I think that Snape's horrified reaction to the notion of grandchildren must be a universal response whenever parents think about their children producing children of their own. :) Like you, I was very glad that Snape addressed the issue of Violet's extreme shyness; if anyone could understand what she feels like, it would be him. I'm also sad about ending the "Accidental" series, but I think it is for the best - I wouldn't want my writing to flounder; ending on a high note sounds like a good plan to me. Also, I am really excited about the new HP fanfic writing ideas that I've been mulling over. I am looking forward to posting my new story and seeing what my readers think! Thanks for reading and reviewing! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
I've been greatly anticipating this chapter for a while now and, as usual, you did not disappoint! Your portrayal of Severus Snape continues to be absolutely brilliant and gives us some insight into a part of him we didn't get to see in the HP books. The sorting was great, I think Ravenclaw was a great choice for Violet. The whole Ashley/Scorpius thing was making me laugh, I imagine Snape will not be pleased when he finds out (and I'm sure he will)! I will be eagerly awaiting the next chapter :)
Author's Response: I am absolutely thrilled to hear that this chapter lived up to your expectations! :) Thanks for your wonderful compliment about my depiction of Snape's character - I really try hard to get his character "just right," even though all of my writing is mere speculation as to how he would act if he were in these situations. As to Violet's Sorting, I just didn't see her as having a Slytherin personality like her father and the Malfoy males. I'm glad that the Ashley/Scorpius interactions made you laugh; I envision them as a handful. The next chapter will be posted soon. Once again, I thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
Well done as usual! I love the fact that, although Celie and Snape have been married a long time, he still tries to be sneaky. Celie never buys it for one moment! Thanks for all the hard work you put in, it really makes the story special. I'm looking forward to the next chapter for sure!
Author's Response: Thank you for your kind review! :) I'm glad that you noticed that Snape is still exhibiting his Slytherin tendencies of trying to be sneaky, although Celie has gotten more knowledgable of how he operates after all of their years together. Thank you for acknowledging the work that I put into the story; that means a lot to me because I really try to do my very best with each chapter. All the time and effort is worth it when some sweet person recognizes it and gets some enjoyment out of my writing. :) I'm really sorry about the long delay, but the next chapter is going to be posted very soon. I can't wait to hear from you again! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
that was great! I wasn't surprised with Ashley and Scorpius eloping, but, as always, Snape's reaction to it all was hilarious. I'm quite excited to see what you have in store for Violet! I also hope Snape and Celie will be grandparents before the series is done. Looking forward to the last installment! :)
Author's Response: Hello, wamo412! Thank you for the kind review - I really enjoyed reading your thoughts about the chapter! :) I'm so happy that you liked Snape's reactions to Ashley's impromptu marriage. The next chapter - which will be posted, I promise! - will let you know what I've been planning for Violet. I hope that you enjoy the grand finale of the "Accidental" series! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
Oh my goodness! That was so cute. Violet's definitely becoming my favorite of the two. As always, Snape's character is great and I love seeing him as a dad. Keep up the good work, can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the newest chapter! :) I'm very relieved to hear that you think Snape is seemingly "in" character; I am having an absolute blast writing him as a father. Thank you for sending me such a complimentary review and I hope that you enjoy the next chapter! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
The humor was, as always, extremely good. I'm really enjoying the character development and interaction between Violet and Snape. I think it's really neat that you let Violet's personality be very similar to Snape's, it makes their relationship even more special. Thanks for making my Friday even better, can't wait for more!
Author's Response: I'm thrilled to see that you are still enjoying my writing! :) When I was planning out the girls' characters, I wanted them to be complete opposites; I figured that it would be fun to have Snape relate to two totally different personalities. I also think that Violet and Snape's relationship is really sweet. Thank you for your kind review and I can't wait to hear from you again! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
