They Died for Love by AnnaDeBoullans

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy have been together for years: as classmates, as enemies, and, finally, as lovers. But when they are betrayed for a petty grudge, they find themselves in the presence of Lord Voldemort when all they have is a ring, a song, and each other.

"They Died for Love" has WON second place at the Dramione Awards in the Tearjerker category!!! Thank you so much to all who voted for me and for the nomination! Much love~~ Anna de Boullans

It was a nice read, very touching at parts, though there were certain cliched moments. But I liked it over all. Nicely done :)

An Aversion to Change by Misdemeanor1331

Rated: Professors •
Summary: After his failed attempt on Dumbledore's life, Draco seeks refuge at the Order of the Phoenix. Sent back to Hogwarts with suspicious title of Head Boy, he is forced to share a dormitory with none other than Hermione Granger. But with war looming on the horizon and another danger even closer to home, their seventh year of Hogwarts is anything but ordinary.

A story of compelling intrigue, hidden motives, dangerous secrets, and obvious passion. Animagi, Quidditch, the Order of the Phoenix. Masquerades and riddles. Hate and love. Pleasure and pain. A blend of contradictions that, for two people, makes a truly unforgettable final year. Slow moving D/Hr with plenty of plot.

It was a great story. This had so many twists and turns. Draco's betrayal was the worst, even though you had left several hints over various chapters. I will probably head out to read The Resilient. Hermione's life must be horrific now, knowing that she was instrumental in the death of her friends and helping Voldemort gain power, and Draco's betrayal. It's some good writing. And even with Draco's betrayal, the last bit of this chapter almost made my eyes sting. His anguish was tangible.

Nicely done!

Author's Response: Yes, "The Resilient" is quite a bit darker than this fic was for all the reasons you mentioned. I hope you enjoy it! Thank you so, SO much for reading and reviewing!!

I have read this story in a crazy haze over the last 24 hours. I started with Persephone first, but once I reached the end note of chapter 3, I had to get to this story, and I have, and I can't wait to read more. I love how the story is going, though, I did get muddled a couple of times. Maybe I have to read it again. The series of events move back and forth with such rapidness that it's possible, I think. But I love it all the same! Please upload the rest soon. Can't wait to see how this Dramione turns out! and the kids are simply adorable.

Author's Response: I'm so sorry for the late response and lack of updates lately, Shreeja. Next chapter should be up next week. Thank you reading Persephone, too! Thanks for your encouragement! Thank you!

Hey, I am so glad you started this again! This was quite a chapter. I thought the carefully built closeness of sorts between Hermione and Draco was all but broken, but some of it remains, yes. I wonder how many more hiccups there'll be. Not much of the twins here, you're focusing on the parents :D I like that, though, like I said earlier, I think that the kids are absolutely adorable. Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Thank you, Shreeja! Thank you!

Love and Unwanted Memories by night_patronus

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: This story is about Draco Malfoy. His mistakes. His happiness. And, of course, her. Always, there would be her. She was there with him all of the time, even though she wasn't there. She was gone, but he could not accept she was gone. So, he waited. And eventually, he must come to terms with all of their relationship, good and bad. And in the end? Well, forgiveness is all he can get, but it is the greatest gift of all.

Warning: This is an angsty one-shot, so if you want something fluffy and happy, sorry guys, but this is not the place to go.

this was brilliantly written. When Hermione dies, that was a little painful, I am used to reading her living usually, from whatever little dramione I have read. The pain came through well. Great work.

A Popped Bubble by youngrowling

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: After having suffered years of torment from working in one of the lowest possible positions in the Ministry of Magic, Hermione’s dreams were finally coming true. She had been assigned to train side-by-side with one of the leading heads in the Ministry. Nothing could have burst her bubble of happiness, well, at least until she discovered the name of her new “boss”.

I loved this chapter. I am reading it in one shot (duh), but I just had to comment separately here! The approval of grants bit was wonderfully put. And considering how Hermione always was sensitive to people's need (even house elves for that matter), this fit perfectly!

Really liked your story! You established Hermione's character really well, and it was in keeping with the canon, her insecurities, despite being the brightest witch of her age. The end was sweet, a little mushy, though that doesn't mean it was bad. I liked it, and your writing is brilliant. Hoping to read more of your stories!

Moments by ahattab33

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •

Have you ever thought about those moments that really defined your life? The ones that were pivotal, life-altering? They can be as obvious as your wedding day, as defining as the birth of your child...or as small as a moment in time, as subtle as a glance between one person and another.

The greatest moments of our lives can sometimes be the shortest and simplest of them all.

A missing moment from the Half-Blood Prince and part of the "Moments" series.

I loved this. It was touching, funny, and everything wedding speeches should be. Ron was hilarious as usual, and Harry had his moments too. And the quick recap of the relationship Ron and Hermione shared throughout the years they've known each other was wonderful..

I would like to know something, in my country, we do not have the same rituals in a marriage, but what is the 'traditional top table layout'? I'd like to know please!

Author's Response:
Thanks again. This is my first ever one shot and (I think) the first story I had approved here. I was working on Grave Days at the time, so it's possible that there were a couple of chapters of Grave Days first. I was aiming for a decent wedding speech. Harry would want to do his best for his best friends.

The Top Table layout in the UK is traditionally: Chief Bridesmaid (not Maid of Honor, which is an Americanism - but she's a Matron of Honour if she’s married), Groom's Father, Bride's Mother, Groom (or Bridegroom if you prefer), Bride, Bride's Father, Groom's Mother, Best Man. This puts Harry and Ginny at opposite ends of the table.

Twilit Confessions by ahattab33

After returning from Australia with the Grangers, Ron realises the moment to make some important confessions to Hermione has come.

Inspired by the Ludo song, "Streetlights." A part of the "Moments" series.

This was beautiful. I think I liked this more than "Moments", perhaps because this was more mature. But that story was when Harry Ginny were in school, so the maturity levels were captured well by you.

Thank you for also showing me why Ron probably kissed Lavender. I always thought that just happened, and that he was a little too slow to realise his feelings for Hermione, but this puts an interesting perspective that I should have noticed in the books.

I loved it, and the song fit in so well.

Grave Days by Northumbrian

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Front page: THE DAILY PROPHET 4 May 1998

Editors Note: At the request of the Ministry for Magic this Official Statement issued by the Office of the Minister is produced full and unedited.

This official statement has been compiled with the assistance and co-operation of Mr Harry Potter.

“Lord Voldemort” was, in fact a man named Tom M. Riddle, son of a witch, Merope Gaunt and a Muggle, Tom Riddle Senior. The Ministry has decided that in all future official publications Riddle will be referred to by his given name.

There has already been much speculation and wild rumour regarding the events at Hogwarts School. The Ministry can confirm that Tom M. Riddle was killed at dawn on the morning of Saturday, 2 May. Riddle was disarmed by Harry Potter while in the act of firing a killing curse at Mr Potter. The curse killed Riddle rather than its intended target.

Continued on page 4

Despite the Official Ministry Statement (published above) we are no closer to receiving an answer to the question on the lips of every witch and wizard in the country. Where is Harry Potter?

It appears that Mr Potter left Hogwarts School early yesterday morning, apparently in the company of his close associates Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. An attractive young Ministry clerk, who did not wish to be named, told The Prophet “He’s at the Ministry, having an important meeting with the Minister. My friends and I saw him. He asked us out to the pub, but we had to turn him down.” This statement is at odds with a report from the Portkey Office that Mr Potter has fled the country, travelling to Australia with his companions.

This was nice. You have a talent for this, but I am sure people have said that already. It started out sad, because post war cannot be happy and you caught that well. But life goes on, and you showed that too.

As usual, your characters were spot on. I cannot think of one negative thing to say. Harry, though, is much calmer, but I'd say he would get like that, he grew up much more than most people in that one year. And Ron's gotten sensible, which is a little strange :D

Over all, I liked it. The funerals of Fred and Colin were the hardest for me. Somehow, I've never been able to be as sad with the deaths of Lupin and Tonks, even though they left a newborn behind. But, it was all well done.

Author's Response:
Thanks for the review.

This was the first story I started. I began writing because I was looking for a post-battle story to read. I couldn't find one I liked (they all seemed to gloss over the funerals and move rapdly to the "happy ever after") so I wrote my own. My ever patient bata's helped nme hammer the story into shape (I'll never be able to thank Andrea enough for her support in those early days).

I don't see Harry a particularly "angry" He had a lot of issues when Sirius died, but he was a hormonal teenager who'd just lost someone very close to him. After the battle he's more mature, plus, he no longer has a bit of Voldemort inside him. Ron's always been (fairly) sensible - he came back from his self-imposed exile sensible.

The funerals were hard for me, too.

The Resilient by Misdemeanor1331

Rated: Professors • Past Featured Story
Summary: Sequel to "An Aversion to Change."

It's Voldemort's world now: a world of corruption, betrayal, greed, and violence. A world of evil thoughts and evil deeds, where no one can be trusted, especially those closest to you.

But through it all, there must be strength. There must exist those who will stand up to totalitarian rule, who will say no when others submit, who must survive despite their condition. There must exist the resilient.

Eventual Draco/Hermione with plenty of plot. Very dark, so read at your own risk!

Reviewer: Shreeja Signed

I loved The Resilient. I liked it more than Aversion, it was darker, definitely, more mature. It envisioned a different world, a different course of things. It encompassed growth of characters, the plot wound its way through, filling in gaps wonderfully.

I don't know how to begin complimenting the things I liked about this fic. It is, by far, the best non canon Draco-Hermione story I have read till now. It gripped me, and made me feel the pain and anguish of the characters.

You have characterised them really well, kept the old yet brought in changes in personality that such traumatic experiences bring. At a point of time, I didn't even know if they'd have a happy ending, and it made me happy to know that they did, because of all the pain they suffered before. Hermione's pain was visible throughout, but Draco's was more subtle, present nonetheless. You carried forward the ever present theme in Queen Rowling's story, love, and I loved how you conceptualised the bond of love and magic.

It was beautiful, but painful, closer to reality than fluff generally is.

I absolutely loved it. I'll probably go read "Masks" now.

Author's Response: Thank you!! That's some seriously high praise; I'm flattered you liked it so much! As dark as this story was, it was really kinda fun to create such a terrible alternate reality. I had a lot of freedom to let my mind wander to its darkest places. But even through all the misery and pain of life, I believe in the goodness of people, and in love and hope. I'm very glad that those themes came through. Thanks again for reading and reviewing! I've loved hearing your thoughts!!

I also wanted to add that I was listening to "Set Fire to the Rain" by Adele, and it sort of seemed appropriate to me, for the beginning of this fic. Towards the end, I think, it was more of a "Lovesong" by Adele. (Major Adele phase, yes :P )

Again, loved it, I am still reeling under the effect of The Resilient.

Author's Response: Oooh, I love Adele! Her music does apply to this story pretty well, doesn't it? I actually find myself thinking of Draco and Hermione often when I listen to her stuff. :) Thanks so much for sharing!!

A True Weasley by ahattab33

All summer, Percy has been anxiously awaiting that moment he knows with change his life: the day he arrives at Hogwarts. But with all his expectations, will he be prepared for what the Sorting Hat has to tell him?

That made for an interesting read, more so because the Percy we know already knows too much for his own good, except when he has enough sense to come back and be the Weasley you've shown him to be here. Which only furthers your reason, that he was a Weasley through and through. I never liked Percy much, doubt a lot of people did, but I like the 11 year old Percy a lot. :)

This ending is nice too, though I think for some reason the other one is more believable. Will read The Resilient now.

Author's Response: Thank you! I think the "real" ending is more believable, too, and the reason I wrote this one was so that people who can't really handle the darkness had a way to find closure. :)

This was brilliant. When you said it was Christmas, I thought the Deluminator would come up and it did :) It was wonderful, and Ron's guilt showed. More than that, was his determination to do the right thing after his outburst, which makes him the strong character that he is. I wish there was a Ron's version of how he finds Harry and Hermione and destroys the locket horcrux!

The Mind of Arthur Weasley is brilliant. You have brought out the character SO well. Each nuance is captured, not one tiny movement missed, the descriptions are brilliant. I always thought Arthur Weasley was a little lost, for lack of a better word. But now from your perspective, it is perfectly explained. I was laughing at how the four reacted to everything said, and how nicely Arthur Weasley picked them up. I read this after I read Spontaneity, so it's a continuation for me. Brilliant, I'd say (more than once!)

Author's Response: Thank you
As I've said in other replies. The idea for this story, Arthur sitting and watching, the quartet interacting, came easy. The writing went very badly, until I switched to first person, at which poit it was written almost instantly. The Hermione was always physical with the boys, kicking them under the table etc. I knew what had happenned in Spontaneity when I wrote this, but at the time I hadn't figured out how to write it.

I am going to have to come up with a better line than "this is nice" because that's all I seem to have to say about your stories. All your characters are in character and each perspective is dealt with so wonderfully that I often forget this is your head canon. To me, this is canon. If JKR is Queen, you're definitely in her Court and part of the elite. :)
