OK, so I'm a die hard Potter head and so it's obvious reasons that I joined MNFF.My fave categories are Next Gen (yup I love Scorose!!), Marauder's era and Dramione. My non Potter obsessions include music (of any type except heavy metal), books of all kinds, movies, TV and writing.
Summary: Harry has lost so many people he loved throughout his life, most recently his best friends since childhood and his wife of many decades. Now a tired old man, he never expected that his life would begin again, so to speak, when his granddaughter tries to convince him to replace his owl.
Wow, this is an amazingly fresh concept.Harry Potter as a granddad!Never imagined our favorite hero to be so!Emotional and nostalgic all the way with just the right amount of rememberances. And you're right-Harry did spend too much of his time being strong and resilient for everyone-and it was time when he had to give into his feelings.Keep on writing, you're already a tantalizing author!!!
Summary: Sequel to "An Aversion to Change."
It's Voldemort's world now: a world of corruption, betrayal, greed, and violence. A world of evil thoughts and evil deeds, where no one can be trusted, especially those closest to you.
But through it all, there must be strength. There must exist those who will stand up to totalitarian rule, who will say no when others submit, who must survive despite their condition. There must exist the resilient.
Eventual Draco/Hermione with plenty of plot. Very dark, so read at your own risk!
This story roxxxx big time!!!!!the ending is just gr8 although i was saddened at harry, ron and ginny dying.....but i think that's what it should be so that draco and mione can continue their romance!one of my fave fanfics EVER!!!keep up dramione and keep up the faith!
Author's Response: Oooh, thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! And yes - Dramione for life!! :D
Summary: Not all Voldemort’s victims were on the side of right.
Over a year has passed since the Battle of Hogwarts. Families grieve, but their dead are remembered with honour.
For Draco Malfoy it has been a year of nothing. Merely existing, he is bound tightly to his past as if enveloped in a shroud, unwilling to accept help. It takes a chance encounter on a cobbled street to jerk him into the realisation that he cannot go on like this. A chance encounter with the one person who has most cause to hate him.
But shrouds, however tightly bound, unravel.
A huge thank you to Natalie (hestiajones) who put her laminated canon card in jeopardy by beta'ing this fic and being very supportive all the way through.
Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. Her lawyers agree, so please don't mistake us. I just like taking the odd liberty (ahem) with her characters (and pairings)
Nominated for two QSQ's in Best Non-Canon Romance and also Best Post Hogwarts story for 2011. Thank you.
I really don't know what to say.I mean, in a good way!The story is EPIC (or that would be an understatement!).It's sad, emotional and heart rending and woven together with an amazing plot, the fic is QSQ material :) Although a tiny part of me is kinda angry for not letting Draco and Hermione go on together it's still got a charm of its own.I loved every moment of reading it and hope you come up with newer dramione fics later on!!! =D
Author's Response: Oh, thank you very much. It was nominated for a QSQ, but lost out sadly (although to sueriour fics ). The thing is, I can't really see them being happy-ever-after because of their history and the loyalties they feel to other people. But ... I could certainly see a time in the future where they maybe meet up ... ~Carole~
Summary: What started out as a release from the misery of their lives grew into a symbiotic need for each other...perhaps even more than that. But his lies and his betrayal led to the end of them and his only solace.
As Draco works up the courage to explain himself to Granger, he thinks back to the start of it all and how they used to be. Will he be able to persuade her to come back to him? Or is he so far down the path of no return that redemption is no longer an option?
Merlin, that was probably one of the BEST endings i have ever read.......it's so sad, yet it really strikes a chord with everyone.....
Summary: Life’s choices are unfair, difficult, and occasionally impossible. But to stand in inaction is to perish, and to perish is to fail. What determines survival, and ultimately success, is one’s ability to adapt to the consequences of the action taken, regardless of whether it’s right or wrong.
omg i love all your stories from the resilient to the reminder.....but this one really takes the first prize!it's really heart rending and sad (i am a huge fan of sad fanfics!)really nice job btw!!!
Author's Response: Thank you!! :)
Summary: Victory Day. A day of celebration and remembrance . For Lily, it is also a day of confusion and sadness. She wants to understand in a world that knows no terror. This year, she'll discover exactly what Victory Day means to her.
Winner of the 2012 Next-Gen QSQ Award
Amazing, Tantalizing, Heart-rending and Emotional.......need i say more?Maybe I do, but believe me, that would take up a lot of space!Great work with the story! PS-Did Lavender really die in DH?
Author's Response: Than so much! And Lavender's death is up to interpretation. We know that she was attacked by Greyback. She did die in the movie, not that that makes it canon or anything ;) Maple
