Hi! My name is Manuel, or Alex, though I prefer the latter. I am a 21 year old university student and I have recently been inspired to study creative writing. I am kind of a late comer into the full-blown HP fandom, I've recently read all the books and started reading fan fiction and since then I've basically been obsessed, for lack of a better term. I been working on some stories, so hopefully I'll have some work up on here soon. My OTP is Harry/Hermione, though I do like the idea of Ron/Luna. Some of my other interests include: drawing, comic books, listening to music, and playing and watching basketball among other things.
A story about how the love between two people can turn out to be more than just love, but a life saving experiance. Plenty of suspense and twists and turns! Please Review: tell me you love it, hate it, want to change this or that, hell, tell me all about the secret conversation you and your cat had last night! Just review!
The Sequal is up! Look for Love Fulfilled in the Dark/Angst section by me! the dark arts master! So go read it, now! It's even better than the first one!
i knew it was penelope because of her thinking that malfoy was even better than percy
Summary: My take on sixth year. More drama than anything else, and glacially slow - so if you're after lots of adventure and sappiness your best bet is to go elsewhere. Hopefully there's a shred of originality in here somewhere.
this is a really good story. very good writing. i hope you update this soon!!
UPDATE: Guys, I'm back!
The innocence Iíve lost
The blood it's cost
Leaves unhealed scars within.
But I will not abate,
I will employ the hate
That has been planted deep inside.
I will not falter
Valor will not tire,
And I will survive
This trial by fire.
Many things are different now. Potions class is the least of the trio's worries. Battling dragons would be a welcome alternative to what it is they're attempting to battle now. The Order of the Phoenix is hallow without its leading member. And when someone close to Harry is stolen, Dumbledore's rhetoric of love, hope, and faith is challenged. Harry's strength and resolve are pushed to their limits. Loyalties are tested and new leaders emerge while Harry and Hermione struggle to balance new emotions and uncharted territory. Yet while this time after sixth year proves to be drastically unlike anything Harry's ever experienced, some truths remain, and some affections stand solid.
A novel-type story that explores the engimas of Snape, Horcruxes, war, and above all, the puzzle of love. HBP compliant. HHr.
Wow! this is such a great story! extremely well written! i cant wait to know what happens next! i hate when i read a good fanfic and its unfinished! i know its been years since this has been update, but i hope you update this soon!
Summary: Harry looks back into Hermione's past and realizes that she deserves more than she gets.
this is extremely well written! very descriptive with the emotions. i hope i can take a few tips from this to improve my writing. good job!
Summary: This is the story of true love. The twists, turns, ups, downs, fights, make ups, and break ups. Follow the trio through their final year at Hogwarts and beyond. Over the course of the summer the unexpected happens and many things change in the lives of many. This is my take on the nineteen years between the end of DH and the Epilogue. H/Hr. Enjoy!
cant wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Next chapter coming soon!
During the trip to Godric's Hollow, Hermione, through the course of events, comes to realize that her friendship with Harry had become so much more to her - but not to him. This pain, this disconcerting feeling, however, had nothing to do with Horcruxes.
Beautifully written! :)
This is exactly how i think Hermione feels about Harry
Author's Response: Yay, a fellow sailor on the good ship Harmony! It in not that I believe that they are madly in love or anything, but I do believe that there is a whole lot of unresolved tension there. This is the culmination of one of the places in canon I think shows this and provides plausible evidence that I am not mistaken. Thanks for the review. :) ~Jess
Harry Potter had seen death - a lot of death. Friends had passed in his lifetime, more so than any one person should ever experience, but how much is too much, even for the Chosen One?
Ron Weasley is dead, leaving behind his wife and his best mate. How can these two cope with their Trio being cut down to two? And when danger lurks in the shadows, can they find the strength to fight for one another?
Will there be an update for this soon?
I really am trying, but I had most of a chapter written. Then my computer rebooted, and for whatever reason, the file didn't save, and I lost about 2000 words of the last chapter. Every time I try to rewrite it, it doesn't feel right or capture what I had in the first version of it.
I am still trying to rewrite it, though. I have about eight different versions of it, but I'm not happy with any of them. Once I reach a good place with it, I will post it right away.
Thank you for your patience and your readership. :)
yay update! i cant wait for the epilogue, i have a suspicion about Hope ill just wait for the epilogue to find out.
great story! :)
Well, I've already started on the epilogue, so hopefully you all find out whatever I have cooking on the brain burner soon. Thanks for waiting, and thanks for read/reviewing. :)
What happened to epilogue? :(
It's cooking. I actually wrote a chunk of it but didn't like where it was going, so I've been sitting on what I have until I decide where I want to go. But it is percolating. :)
Oh ok! I was a little afraid it was never going to come. Can't wait to read it!! :)
I just don't want to end teh story shoddily. Thanks for understanding!
this is a really suspenseful story. i cant wait to read the next chapter!!
I'm glad you are enjoying it. I really do hope to get moving on it again after the Quicksilver Quill judging winds down. Thank you for your continued interest. :)
Hermione never left Harry's side...
...But that doesn't mean she never thought about it.
Great poem!! :) makes me really wish i could write them! and hoping the epilogue to The Darkness and the Light comes soon!!
Thank you, I'm glad you like it.
Poems can be a tricky art, but they are so rewarding if you've written one and think...yeah, I like that. :D
Thanks for the review!
Summary: Nearly two months after the Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione disappeared. Harry and Ron exhaustively looked for her throughout the entire British country and Australia. Without any results, they eventually, gave up and moved on with their lives.
Harry married Ginny, Ron married a nice unknown girl, and all was well ... until 2015, when twenty years after the last Triwizard Tournament, Hogwarts decides to hold yet another one. During the first task, Harry gets the shock of his life when he sees the Beauxbatons champion, Rose Granger, and especially when he sees her mother. He seeks out to find answers, but they're not what he expected.
hoping for an update on this soon
Summary: After the last spell flashes and the day is won, hope can be found in the subtlest ticking of the clock, the softest note, the tiniest slant of light.
Thus ended the Battle of Hogwarts and began for those left to carry on.
This poem has been nominated for a 2012 Quicksilver Quill Award: Best Poetry.
Beautiful poem! Really captures the mood! You're very talented! :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think it's one of my better poems of the past six months, so I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so, hehe. Thanks for reading. <3
When a Dementor approaches, one feels cold in places that the nerves of the skin can only dream of approaching.
Those places, for Harry, were dark, indeed.
So intense! Very vivid and dark imagery! It's a beautiful poem! :)
That's what I was going for, since a dementor attack is also an intense experience. And Jo couldn't very well write something darker than she did, as it was still aimed at children, but I like to think I did all right.
Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you liked it. :D
Summary: The Wizarding war has horrendous effects on the people who fought...
Wow! Just wow!! I hope that covers it? You get a real sense of hopelessness. It's an amazing poem!
Author's Response: Thank you! Wow covers it enough for me. :) I'm glad that the poem worked as intended. I'll be sure to look out for your work- if you have any!
Well I don't know if I should be answering in another review, but I do have a poem on here and you did review it...so thank you :)
And I just submitted another story on here and I'm hoping it'll get accepted. But I do have some non-Harry Potter stuff online!
Author's Response: I have reviewed so many things... :) But I appreciate the review! :) Thanks.
Summary: She is restless with the wait- but she doesn't realize that she has the best thing ever.
Written for the Boggart Challenge in the Great Hall
Wow! Just wow! You convey emotions an imagery very, very well! It's very well written and a very good story! :)
Author's Response: Thank you!!!!!!! Your review just made my day. ;)
Summary: What is she? She is a wasted space...
Written, somewhat lately, in response to the Ian Sharp challenge in PA.
You really are a great poet! You really do a great job of conveying emotion! This is definitely something that I have felt, I'm sure a lot of people would agree. Is it about Merope Gaunt? It sure feel that way!
And again great poem!! :)
P.S. I'm glad I'm making your day :)
Author's Response: Yes, it was Merope! :) The challenge was to use metaphors to describe a character, and I found Merope to be easiest because of the items she is associated with. Thank you for your review! My day is looking up!!!
Summary: He's leaving.
She wants him to stay.
And so begins a murder investigation that leaves the Muggle police baffled and the Aurors with a mess to clean up. And what happens when the murderer strikes again?
This quite good! I really like crime mysteries! Cant wait to read the rest! :)
Author's Response: alex13, you are making my day!!!!!! I hope to find time for the rest of the story to pan out... should have the next chapter up in (at most) two weeks. And hopefully have 3 or more by the end of October! Thanks again for your review!
