Summary: "Some mistakes are too much fun to make just once."
After Lily Evans, Head Girl of Hogwarts, starts a food-fight with James Potter, Head Boy of Hogwarts, they are both given detention for the rest of the year, and are assigned a 'detention journal', which the staff say will help to settle their 'overwhelming and disturbing differences'. We have come across Lily's journal; her take on why the whole affair ever started, her intriguing relationship with one ‘supreme git of the galaxy’, the extents to which she will go for revenge and where it will lead her...
"And if for some unknown reason you come across this, Potter, and the paragraph above does not manage to penetrate your unusually thick head and convince you of my stupendous dislike of you, I hope the following sentence helps: I HATE YOU!"
That. Was. Sooo good!!!!!! I really liked when they were just looking at each other before they kissed. Hahaha and the "-and damn it, he was running after me." That was probably one of the best chapters--next to some of the beginning ones, of course. :)!
I love this story because it is always super funny. Coincidentally, I also love Aladdin. Anyways. Terry is...meh. Slightly understandable about the in-love thing but still a jerk for stringing Lily along.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you think it's funny! I always have such a good time writing this. Wow, I think everyone feels the same way about Terry, a 'tough love' kind of thing. :) Thanks!
Summary: For the past six years, Lily Evans has put up with James Potter's pranking. But as her seventh year commences, she decides it's time to give James a taste of his own medicine.
Chapter 7 has finally been submitted!
A tiny sneek peek:
"Oh, come on now! Lily thought. “Just kiss me already,” she said audibly. James froze at her words and she, embarrassed beyond belief that her thoughts had spilled from her mouth, sat entirely still."
Update soon? Please? So far, so good, but I'm gonna need some more!
Summary: And there he was. The one boy she could not stand. His messy, jet black hair was ruffled and untidy and his glasses were sitting crooked on his nose. James Potter was here. With Lily. And all her Muggle friends. At a Muggle ski resort. Could things possibly be worse? Oh yeah, Sirius Black is there, too.
:(! Where is the next chapter? This story is so great but I am getting impatient for a solution to that humongous cliffhanger at the end of the last chapter... ;). Great work for everything! Just update soon, please !
Author's Response: I am so, so, so sorry that this has taken so long :'( AP English has really sucked away all of my free time, so I've hardly been able to work on the next chapter... I am writing it now, so hopefully it will be up in the nearish future! Just know that I haven't (and never will) abandon the story! Thanks for reading and reviewing :)
Summary: For Lily Evans, James Potter was just a crush. A guilty pleasure, in other words. She never meant to fall in love with him. Especially after six long years of having to reject him. James would always be chasing after her, so why not live a little before giving in? It's finally come to their Seventh Year at Hogwarts after all. But little did Lily know, James took his tactics to a whole new level- Operation: Lily.
Summary: James Potter is Head Boy and Gryffindor Quidditch captain in his seventh year at Hogwarts. He has three best friends and his life seems perfect--except that Lily Evans, the only girl he's ever loved, can't stand him.
Lily Evans is Head Girl and top of their class. She's always been disgusted by James' arrogance, yet she can't seem to stop blushing when he's around.
As their Head Boy and Girl duties bring them together, can James find a way to win Lily's love?
A Different Kind of Magic has been nominated for the 2011 Quicksilver Quills: Best Canon Romance. Thank you!
Ooh I get it now because of the chapter end note!! I think that the letter was James telling Sirius that his mom died, and Sirius loved her so much and was so upset that he wasn't allowed to come home!!! :(! But :) that I figured it out! Keep writing and I'll keep reviewing!!!
Author's Response: Nice! Actually, my beta (the lovely Soraya) was telling me to make it more obvious, so I'm glad people are getting it. That's not all that will be revealed in Chapter 13, though! :) Thanks for reading & especially for your feedback!
Summary: The sequel to “Trickster”: The Marauders return to Hogwarts for their seventh and final year. September 2012: HEY guess what I couldn't wait, and the third installment, "World Enough," is UP NOW under James/Lily. Or just under my name. Or at this link: http://fanfiction.mugglenet.com/viewstory.php?sid=92131. Yay! :D
PS- I know I already reviewed this chapter, but I just reread it and I HAVE to say that I love how Sirius is in this chapter. He is so childlike and adorable! The scene after the scene where Snape fights James--the one where Sirius is with James in the passage--made me think of the phrase "partners in crime" for Sirius and James. They are so childlike and well, not really innocent as a whole, but young and the opposite of seriousness! If you get what I mean... Anywho, just had to say that.
Awww that's cute! ps- Remus is my favorite person ever!!!
I really like this story! I like how it's funny and I like the romance :)
Summary: "I don't wanna parachute into love,
No, I wanna skydive
And fall until we fly, live until we die together,
If heaven is my home, you could only make it better."
-Skydive, Jason Reeves
Seventh Year at Hogwarts is about much more than memorizing all the lessons for the upcoming N.E.W.Ts. It's about falling in love with someone you least expected to, about realizing who you are and what you want to do. It's about friendship, laughter, and the first steps towards a great betrayal. You strengthen the bonds already made and reconnect with someone you've had a fallout with.
Everyday Voldemort gets stronger, and the outside world becomes more real and more frightening. Lily, Marlene and the Marauders learn what it means to fall in love, what true friendship is, how to let go, and what is most important in life. Because not growing up is not an option. And some things are worth fighting for.
NOOOOO MAJOR CLIFFIE!! :( Update soon please!! That was soo good!!! :) And, just saying here, if I were you, I would have named the chapter "I wanna hold your hand" after that Beatles song. Soo, I'm gonna guess that either Severus/bellatrix or maybe Sirius hit them with a snowball. I almost hope serious cuz then they could start an adorably snowball fight... ;) But I guess severus--with all his jealousy-- would make more sense. I mean, I'd hate to have another confrontation between them and bellatrix, also. Thanks for everything so far!!
Author's Response: ; )
He returned with a quiet sadness and a surprising new responsibility to keep him focused. She returned with a misplaced bitterness and the matching position that forced them to work with one another. Yet fear, resentment, and stubborn arrogance kept pushing them apart, even when they were meant to be together.
Winner, Quicksilver Quill for Best Canon Romance. Thank you!!
I looooove the note at the end!!! Pretty nice job on this one.
Okay, I just have to say that I'm pretty dissapointed with this chapter. This is not what I thought would happen AT ALL. And I think that next chapter will be soo unrelatable. That's just too awkward, to do all that and then... :(. And noooo, I USED TO LOVE SIRIUS!! :,( I really like most of the rest of this story... Just not this. Where's the funny?
OMG! Good stuff!! It was pretty sad, though, and I was a wee bit dissapointed that it was practically the same as the previous chapter--no new ground covered. Can't wait for the next chapter!!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I"m glad you enjoyed it even if it was a bit of the same. I did want this chapter to mirror the last though - James saw Lily with Mark, she saw him with Anastasia. So many misconceptions! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing, I hope you continue to enjoy! ~Gina :)
Better! In a way, I'm really glad that Lily said no again, because if she'd said yes that would be just so wrong for me. (too awkward). Can't wait to see it get resolved, though! Nice job.
