Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 16]
Summary: Remus and Tonks have been told to simply live. But what will that life be? Some short stories of the Lupin Family set in the Post Epilogue Portalverse established for A Little More Time.

Scenes from Shell Cottage by WeasleyMom
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 126]
Summary: This fic is a series of missing moments from the time H/R&H were at Shell Cottage, beginning immediately after they Disapparated from Malfoy Manor. JKR shows us what was going on with Harry, but this is my version of what could have happened with Ron and Hermione after one of the most emotional/disturbing events in the entire series.
UPDATED June 2010
When I first wrote this fic, I didn't know what a beta reader was, and frankly, it showed. Thanks so much to Natalie for helping me polish this up and make it more readable. Thanks also to both Julia and Carole, whose helpful comments in the review section allowed me to make some much-needed corrections during the rewrite.
I would love to know what you think ~ reviews are very much appreciated!
This was nominated in the 2010 Quicksilver Quill Awards for Best Canon Romance.
AMAZING!! Ron and Hermione are so cute together!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the story--thanks for taking time to review. :)
What Better Way by MagEd
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 47]
Summary: I hadn't seen him since I was eleven, but he had a rather distinct look about him. It was hard, after all, to forget that black hair that stuck up in the back and the bright green eyes behind those glasses. And the scar — I had always thought it neat to have a scar shaped like a lightening bolt.
Jane Martin sees the odd, quiet boy she went to primary school with years ago in a jewellery shop and she's shocked to see how much things have changed for the boy with taped glasses and baggy clothes. *one-shot*
Wow, you are an amazing writer!
And Every Day is a Start by MagEd

Ginny Potter loves her husband, loves her children, and loves her life. At least, she used to. But things are changing, and she's not sure why. *one-shot*
The Girl at the Piano by thechocolatefrog
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 5]
Summary: Late Christmas Eve, a girl plays the piano in St. Mungo's. Harry Potter, making his usual rounds, stumbles upon her. He hasn't seen her for months and wants to know why she is here.
Totally unexpected.
Anywhere Else But Here by Liandrin
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 26]
Summary: Boy meets girl. Girl meets boy. Sparks fly. Dreadfully romantic, wouldn't you agree? Well, that depends on your definition of ‘sparks’—or the boy and girl involved. No, I'm afraid this isn't one of your typical clichéd romances—it’s the other one. So, take a seat and get comfortable. You’re in for quite a ride.
WOW! Totally unexpected, though.
Author's Response: Oh, okay...

A Different Kind of Magic has been nominated for the 2011 Quicksilver Quills: Best Canon Romance. Thank you!
I've temporarily changed the rating to 3rd-5th years due to site glitches. I don't think there is anything graphic in the story thus far, but please read at your discretion anyway.
This is a heartbreaking story. It has definitely captured my attention and I can't wait for the next chapter! Please hurry and submit it!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for leaving a review, and such a lovely one at that! Chapter 14 is actually done, but real life has interfered with my submitting it. I'll try to do so quite soon!

Taking Direction by WeasleyMom
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 109]
Summary: What if the characters in the Harry Potter films were portrayed—not by actors—but by the book versions of themselves, as created by Rowling? How might things unfold on that set? What would the characters think of the changes made from the stories they’d already lived out… to the ones written for the script?
This fic is a series of one-shots, posted as chapters, each from the perspective of a different character who is dealing with the changes occurring between the book and the script.

Holy Movie Canon, Batman! This fic won the 2011 Quicksilver Quill Award for Best Chaptered Humor Story. Thanks so, so much!

Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 45]
Summary:
Six weeks after the battle, Hermione puts on a bathing suit for the first time in nearly a year... scars are revealed as painful memories rise to the surface yet again.
I almost submitted this under dark/angst, but at the end of the day, I see it as Ron/Hermione. *shrug* Also, a gazillion thanks to my awesometastic beta Natalie, and to both Neil and Carole for helping me with all things British. :D
How adorable!

Summary: A distraught Hermione takes quill to parchment.
This is heartbreaking and beautiful. I love your writing!

Our Done Deal by Aria_Aurora1
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 20]
Summary: He withdrew his arms from around her, and reached into the back pocket of his shorts. As he bent down to kiss her again, he took hold of her hand, and placed inside it a square box. “Happy birthday.”
This is the tale of a birthday… A seventeenth birthday, no less. It tells of a present given to a redheaded teenager by the love of her life, a gift that became the best present she would ever receive; better than all past and all future presents. It tells of a present she would never, ever forget.
A Different Kind Of Magic 2: Parenthood by xxbabewithbrainsxx
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 28]
Summary: A sequel, of sorts, to A Different Kind Of Magic. Ginny’s being dragged along by Teddy to see his and his grandma's new house. What could possibly go wrong?
Well, when Ginny’s heavily pregnant and Teddy full of five-year-old energy…the answer to that is…everything.
The rating is purely due to Ginny's choice of language, and rest assured it is very brief.

Awesome story, but there should be less swearing. Ginny and Harry don't use words like that.
Author's Response: I'm glad you thought it was awesome. However, I do disagree with you about the swearing -- Harry swears plenty of times in the books. It's just that JKR wrote "Harry swore" or "Harry employed some of Vernon's Dursley's choicest swearwords" or something like that. Being primarily a children's book, there were boundaries for JKR, and for that reason, she couldn't really include swearing. I must also remind you that there was a Strong Profanity warning and the rating was 3rd-5th years. Bear in mind that it was you who clicked on the story, knowing full well that someone was going to swear in it. For those reasons, I don't see why I can't include profanity, as long as I have the warning, and if some people knowingly read my story, it's hardly fair to complain about the language used. I'm happy that you liked it, and while I respect your opinion, I don't think you should be telling me this, given you knew there was going to be swearing. Also -- are you a mum? Ginny swore at Harry while she was going through labour, so I hope you understand that in this context, swearing is more than justifiable. Thank you for your review.

Fool Me Twice by Dawnie
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 110]
Summary:
Lily Evans is pretty, intelligent, vivacious… and accused of murder. James Potter is privileged, arrogant, and conceited… and her best chance at avoiding Azkaban. If only he wasn’t convinced of her guilt.
With a war looming in the background and evil slowly seeping into the wizarding world, seven years of secrets unravel, and two very different people find themselves caught up in a battle against privilege, intolerance, and greed.
But even in the darkness, and even in the despair, there is still friendship, and love, and hope.
That is amazing and heartbreaking. I almost believe that Lily loved Remus in JK Rowling's writing.
Author's Response: Thanks! I always thought Remus and Lily would be the closest out of the Marauders (until she started dating James, of course). There was just something about the way they were both written; they fit together really well.
Albus Potter and the Sorting Snafu by rjc917
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 14]
Summary: Albus Potter starts his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, makes new friends, uncovers a dark wizard, and has his worst fear come true. Throughout the story, Albus will learn the secret of his father’s past, realize the dangers of judging by appearances, and come to accept what he once thought to be an awful fate.
Please continue, your writing is good!
Author's Response: Thank you for the compliment! The next chapter will be the last one...unless I decide to write a sequel.
Summary:
He returned with a quiet sadness and a surprising new responsibility to keep him focused. She returned with a misplaced bitterness and the matching position that forced them to work with one another. Yet fear, resentment, and stubborn arrogance kept pushing them apart, even when they were meant to be together.
Winner, Quicksilver Quill for Best Canon Romance. Thank you!!
HER PATRONUS IS A DOE!! Ever read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?
Author's Response: Many, many times. And have you read Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince? In that story it was revealed that Nymphadora Tonks' Patronus changed shape due to her emotional state, thus revealing her love for Remus Lupin. Just sayin'. Feel free to keep reading, but I'd suggest you think before you type, since I know exactly what I am doing with this story. Especially since I've done it a few times. Thank you. ~Gina ;-)
Mod Edit: Liet Dumbledore, please be respectful when addressing an author with concerns about the story.
