I love to RP, read books, and love love LOVE the Harry Potter series! I'm also a huge fan of Dramione stories and think they were a couple destined to be.

Hermione knew this thing she had with Malfoy was purely physical. She knew she shouldn't have fallen in love with him. And she knew that when he said he loved her too, a dozen misfortunes would befall them. Yet they both did admit it and just when she thought this temporary relationship might just last, she was left all alone and he?...Well he became one of Them.

I loved it! I'll definatly read other stories if you've written them and watch out for new ones. ~Gracie V.
Love, love, love it!!! I read Lord of the Flies recently and love how you've taken some of that plot to create this story. The death of the professor, the missing Pansy, and now missing Potter are great twists in the story. I'm definatly adding this to my favorites and can't wait for an update!
Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. Summary: "Some mistakes are too much fun to make just once."
After Lily Evans, Head Girl of Hogwarts, starts a food-fight with James Potter, Head Boy of Hogwarts, they are both given detention for the rest of the year, and are assigned a 'detention journal', which the staff say will help to settle their 'overwhelming and disturbing differences'. We have come across Lily's journal; her take on why the whole affair ever started, her intriguing relationship with one ‘supreme git of the galaxy’, the extents to which she will go for revenge and where it will lead her...
"And if for some unknown reason you come across this, Potter, and the paragraph above does not manage to penetrate your unusually thick head and convince you of my stupendous dislike of you, I hope the following sentence helps: I HATE YOU!"
I don't think Terry and Lily should get all cuddly friendly, but I do think he was some what forgiveable. As for James...Well, boys will be boys, right? I love where this story is going and can't wait for an update! I absolutly ADORE this story line! Please promise me you'll update soon!
Author's Response: Promise kept :) Story has been updated. Thanks!

Personally, I like both endings. The first made me cry a little, this one made me smile. I can't imagine a better ending for a story that'll last a while. ;)

In the middle of it all, Severus Snape continues his diligent search to find the daughter he lost, never knowing that this is the year it will come to an end. One girl’s choice. One man’s deepest wish. One year that will change both their lives…forever.
Love, love, love it! Can't wait for an update! I am so sad that Nicolette was petrified, but it gives an excellent advancement to the story, I also love that she's a Muggleborn. And, I also love that Shiloh is slowly beginning to semi-sorta like Snape in a not very well shown or understood way. ^^ Keep up the great work!
I love that song too! Oh, and great chapter by the way! LOVE IT! I'm glad there was a bit more Snape in the story too. Can't wait to see what unfolds between George and Shiloh! ;)

*** I started this story before DH came out. For that reason it's AU. However, I've tried to make it as close to the details as possible, so you'll find there are canon details in this story. Thank you all so much for your amazing and encouraging reviews (and your PATIENCE with me!), I appreciate every single one :)
I can totally understand why this was a hard chapter to write. I think this is a definite turning point for Ron and Hermione's relationship. As for Harry and Ginny, I think they'll make good parents and, in time, so will Ron and Hermione. Can't wait for the next update!
Are you going to continue it? Oh, I so hope you do! It's really good!
Barely sixteen years old and fearing for his mother's life, Draco stepped up in his father's absence to take his place amongst the Death Eaters. The following year at Hogwarts School was, without a doubt, the hardest he had ever endured. Now seventeen, the young Malfoy seeks to keep safe all he loves by doing the opposite, and taking the golden advice Albus Dumbledore had left him minutes before his death.
I know this has been up for a long time and I really don't want to be nit-picky, but I have a correction for the French. "Tu sais je t'aime tellement!" actually means: You know I love you so much! You would really say: "Tu sais combien je t'aime! Great story, though!
Oooh, please, please continue this!!! It's REALLY good! You are an amazing writer who managed to write out the characteristics and personalities of the characters perfectly! Bravo!
I'm so sorry that I took this long to post a reply to your lovely review... Thank you for all your kind words! Unfortunately, along with my thanks, I must give you a sad bit of news: By Firelight is on hiatus indefinitely, and I don't believe it will be coming out of that state anytime soon. The truth is, I've made a transition away from Harry Potter fanfiction to something a little more modern/active/realistic. I speak of the TV show, Glee. I'm in the process of writing a Glee fanfiction now...
To tell you the truth, the reason I didn't respond for so long was because I didn't really know how to say all of that... I hope you're not angry... It couldn't be helped... There hasn't been new HP canon in four years, after all, and the next season of Glee starts in September. I may post my new Glee story on Fanfiction dot net when it's done, so keep an eye out if you're still interested in reading my fanfics. I'll use the same pen name, too.
I'm really sorry about this!
Summary: During the summer before her Seventh Year, Hermione Granger lands herself at the Hospital Wing at Hogwarts, where she soon discovers that she is not the only patient. To her complete horror, the other patient is none other than Draco Malfoy, the Slytherin bully she has despised since First Year. But why are each of them there? Can they learn to tolerate one another, and help each other overcome their problems?
Books 6 & 7 Disregarded. Sirius is alive, and Lucius is not in Azkaban.
I love the set up and where this story seems to be going. Great job and keep up the good work! Can't wait for an update!
It was the worst news a father could receive: his son was marrying his worst enemy's daughter.
But for Draco Malfoy, being in the role of the reasonable parent was in itself a debacle as he tried to make the best of a bad situation. But when circumstances forced him to spend more time than he ever cared to with the most irritating Mudblood on the planet, he constantly questioned his sanity, as well as that of his son.
However, Draco might have come to realise that things change, as well as people. Is Hermione Granger Weasley the mad bint he remembered, or were they both a little different this time around?
This story has been nominated for a 2011 Quicksilver Quill Award: Best Non-Canon Romance.
This story has also been nominated for a 2014 Quicksilver Quill Award: Best Humour Story.
God have mercy on his soul! Draco is in it waist deep! 0,0 He's gonna get a BIG woopin' on his butt before he even knows what hit him! An you know what? I bet Hermione doesn't get blamed a bit! I bet Draco gets all the blame! He's gonna be beat up by both Astoria AND Ron! I will pray for him! Great story by the way. ^^
Hehe, Draco is definitely taking the brunt of badness here. Not gonna lie, it amuses me. :D
Thanks for reading!
Summary: "I don't wanna parachute into love,
No, I wanna skydive
And fall until we fly, live until we die together,
If heaven is my home, you could only make it better."
-Skydive, Jason Reeves
Seventh Year at Hogwarts is about much more than memorizing all the lessons for the upcoming N.E.W.Ts. It's about falling in love with someone you least expected to, about realizing who you are and what you want to do. It's about friendship, laughter, and the first steps towards a great betrayal. You strengthen the bonds already made and reconnect with someone you've had a fallout with.
Everyday Voldemort gets stronger, and the outside world becomes more real and more frightening. Lily, Marlene and the Marauders learn what it means to fall in love, what true friendship is, how to let go, and what is most important in life. Because not growing up is not an option. And some things are worth fighting for.
Awesome story! I just wanted to say that I laughed because my brother's name is Gavin. :) I'll try to review at the end of the story too.
Author's Response: Thanks!
