I've loved Harry Potter since I was 8, and now that the books are over I've begun reading fan fiction. I'm no writer myself, I just want to review the stories I read :)
Dursleys, Meet The Wizarding World by Ghoul In Pajamas
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 453]
Summary: The Dursleys have left Privet Drive and are in hiding with Hestia Jones and Dedalus Diggle. Hestia and Mr. Dursley are constantly fighting, Petunia is avoiding the wizards at all costs, and Dedalus is trying to make them all the best of friends. Meanwhile, Dudley discovers he has an interest in Harry's world, but his parents are less than pleased when they find out.
Omg is Dudley going to do magic?? I absolutely love this story and can't wait for the next chapter! Keep up the great work :)
As Happily Ever After As They're Gonna Get by cjbaggins
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 647]
Summary: My take on the first of those 'nineteen years' between the 36th chapter of DH and the epilogue.
Warnings: contains an unusually-shaped ring, a nosy neighbour, a rude shop assistant, shaving mishaps, thoughtful gestures, threatening goblins, and, unexplained appearances of Romantic!Ron and Romantic!Harry. You have been warned.
Rating is for *mild* innuendo and *mostly* innocent interactions but I wouldn't let my 9 year old read it.
Love it! I'm so glad you're continuing this story, it's been so fun to read. I liked seeing the change in Malfoy, and I love how Ginny's patrons is a doe :) Keep up the excellent work, can't wait for the rest!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review. I am thrilled that you are enjoying the story. And I appreciate the praise about the doe. :) cj
I absolutely love this story, with the return to Hogwarts and the two love stories! Your representation of JKR's characters is remarkably close to the actual books, though I think Ron's constant desire for food is mentioned a little too often :P I really like seeing how Harry is forgiving those like Snape and Malfoy. I'm anxiously hanging out for the next chapter... ;)
Author's Response: Thank you for your positive review! I am pleased you think I have kept the characters close to the original. I, too, got sick of Ron's remarks about food. You will notice he no longer makes them, lol! There sometimes can be a fine line between sticking to character and flogging a dead horse. I appreciate your comments about Harry's forgiveness of others. I got the impression from DH that Harry is not the sort to carry grudges. He seemed to have made peace with those in his life and I wanted to continue that in my story. Stay tuned. cj
The End of Her World by DarkSunflower
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 13]
Summary:
"Love is the sweetest of dreams, and the worst of nightmares."
- William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream
In short, this is the end of Book Seven, the end of Voldemort's rein.
From Ginny Weasley's perspective.
Note: This is a one-shot!
I loved this story! Seeing a familiar scene through a different character's eyes is fascinating, and I think you did a good job with it :) Ginny is one of my favourite characters in the books but we don't see enough of her in my opinion, so it's great to be able to read fanfics like yours and explore untold aspects of the series. Keep up the great work!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! :) I love hearing that people enjoyed this story! And yes, I quite agree with you! Being a person of many perspectives, I love seeing how things went down in scenes that I've read countless times, but from different characters. As for keeping up the great work... Well, I'll sure do my best! :) Thank you so much for reviewing!
The Question (Again) by Northumbrian
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 22]
Summary: Harry is on his way to ask Ginny a question. No - not a question the question. How hard can it be?
"Only Ginny could distract me from Ginny!" - best line ever :D Loved this story!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. -N-
