Summary: After his failed attempt on Dumbledore's life, Draco seeks refuge at the Order of the Phoenix. Sent back to Hogwarts with suspicious title of Head Boy, he is forced to share a dormitory with none other than Hermione Granger. But with war looming on the horizon and another danger even closer to home, their seventh year of Hogwarts is anything but ordinary.
A story of compelling intrigue, hidden motives, dangerous secrets, and obvious passion. Animagi, Quidditch, the Order of the Phoenix. Masquerades and riddles. Hate and love. Pleasure and pain. A blend of contradictions that, for two people, makes a truly unforgettable final year. Slow moving D/Hr with plenty of plot.
this was a totally epic story - i loved it! i liked the alternate ending better though - even though it was a bit too fluffy. Pleaseeee write the sequel soon! x
Author's Response: Eh, I think fluff makes a better alternate ending. Leaves people feeling good inside, ya know? Hahah. And the sequel is written! In fact, I'm almost done posting it. It's called "The Resilient," if you're interested. ;)
Summary: James would do anything to get inside Lily’s head. Lily would do anything to get away from James. Lily was brewing a banned potion. James went to find her. Lily made a mistake and the potion exploded. James got his wish, but is it much more than he bargained for?
After a year the Epilouge is now up! Come read for a bit of fun!!
Runner up QSQ - Best Chaptered Canon Romance
Reason for Nomination:
This is the most unique take on how James and Lily really got to know each other. The story is hilarious and keeps you laughing throughout, but it never lets you forget the serious stuff. Plus, she somehow manages to end each chapter with a nice cliffhanger.
Oh my god! i loved this story, totally great! at first i thought it was going to be crappy but it made me crazy! i usually only read dramiones, but this is the best lily/james i've read. i didn't like the epilogue that much though. THANKYOU FOR THE GREAT READ!!
Summary: “Guilt brings people together. It’s a takes one to know one type thing.”
James Potter has always been a spoiled, arrogant, lazy show-off. When he enters his final year at Hogwarts School, he’s Head Boy . . . and he’s still a spoiled, arrogant, lazy, show-off. But because of that terrible summer, he’s also guilt-ridden.
Lily Evans has always been a self-righteous, impatient, temperamental know-it-all. When she begins her last year at Hogwarts, she’s Head Girl . . . and still a self-righteous, impatient, temperamental know-it-all. But the first night back — and the murder that takes the entire school by surprise — leave her guilt-ridden as well.
With the darkness that’s surrounding the Wizarding world slowly seeping, at long last, onto the grounds of Hogwarts and into the lives of James Potter and Lily Evans, what comes next?
loved your story!! it was good. the romance was good, and so were capturing most of the characters, but the OC's were poorly made. sorry!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it--thanks for the review!
Summary: After the war, Hermione returns to Hogwarts to complete her seventh year of studies as Head Girl, only to find Draco Malfoy has been appointed Head Boy. Her life is further complicated by the fact that Headmistress McGonagall is strongly encouraging Malfoy and her to attend one of the three wizarding universities in Europe after they graduate from Hogwarts. The story starts HG/RW, but the focus is on the development of HG/DM.
This is my favourite story of all time! I check like 3 times a week for an update. Great characters, great plot and story and great writing. LOVE xx
Author's Response: Gosh, I'm honored that this is your favorite story. The next chapter is in the queue and I'm about half way done with the sequel, if that makes you happy. :-) Thank you so very much for sharing how much you like the story. --Jenny
I absolutely loved this read! It really potrays the characters well, except I didn't think Ron would be THAT much of an idiot. But i loved it none the less. I can't keep smiling whenever I read it. You're an awesome writer!!
Author's Response: In real life, I'm an HG/RW shipper, so I feel sort of mean making Ron into such a numbskull, but it serves the purpose of the story. Thanks for the compliments. I'm glad you are enjoying the story! --Jenny
Summary: James Potter is Head Boy and Gryffindor Quidditch captain in his seventh year at Hogwarts. He has three best friends and his life seems perfect--except that Lily Evans, the only girl he's ever loved, can't stand him.
Lily Evans is Head Girl and top of their class. She's always been disgusted by James' arrogance, yet she can't seem to stop blushing when he's around.
As their Head Boy and Girl duties bring them together, can James find a way to win Lily's love?
A Different Kind of Magic has been nominated for the 2011 Quicksilver Quills: Best Canon Romance. Thank you!
I've temporarily changed the rating to 3rd-5th years due to site glitches. I don't think there is anything graphic in the story thus far, but please read at your discretion anyway.
i like it a lot. i've just begun writing my first fanfic and i can finally apperciate the effort it takes.x
Author's Response: Thank you! :) Well, this is my first fanfic too, so we're in the same boat. It's a lot of effort, but I love it so much!
