Our whole family is HP crazy; my 6 yr old's having a HP b-day party and my 3-yr old speaks with a British accent and insists on calling me Mrs. Weasley!! :)
Summary: Five years after the Final Battle, Auror Hermione Granger returns to the scene of the battle, Hogwarts, to teach Defence Against The Dark Arts, and to try to find peace after the deaths of all those she held dear. She never expected to find love...
Your unanswered questions in this chapter are open to innumerable answers. I'm excited to see where you'll take this!
Author's Response: Thank you very much for the review, I'm glad that you've enjoyed this fic so far. This fic is completely written, and will be updated as soon as possible!
Summary: Ginny knew why she had been summoned before the words were ever spoken. This day, the day she would come to think of often in her many years, was an inevitable variable of fate. At least, that’s what he had told her.
Tragic and lovely, and beautifully written. I'll keep an eye out for anything else you write!
Summary: He prayed that she would say something - anything to appease Bellatrix. But she did not - that infuriating, idiotic, beautiful, courageous, stubborn, uncontrollable bint. He had never loved her more.
One of the hardest things in this world is to watch someone you love experience unimaginable pain and be powerless to stop it. But if you did have some power - any at all - to take that pain away, would you use it, even at the risk of your own life? Would you defy your allies - your family - to help someone who is supposed to be an enemy? Or would you do nothing - like the coward everyone assumes you are?
Draco Malfoy was tired of being a coward.
I love reading your work, Alice! Terrific one-shot, my dear. I think it was a great idea to give the reader the knowledge that Draco and Hermione loved each other, but none of the details. You leave them for your readers. Draco's point of view felt very real to me. Oh, and I can't wait to hear what you think of the chapter I have in the queue-you and I are on the same wavelength in a big way! Great job, sweetie! : )
Author's Response: I love reading yours too Stef! Thank you so much - your comments are always so sweet! The background to their story could potentially be Jar of Hearts but, like you said, we could leave it to the readers imagination. I'm glad you felt Draco's POV was realistic - I tried to show him as conflicted whilst maintaining the familiar Malfoyisms (such as hating Ron). We're definitely on the same wave-length: I love the direction your fox is going in. I'm writing a full length Dramione at the moment so keep an eye out! Thanks again hun :)
Summary: "I have given away my whole soul to someone who treats it as if it were a flower to put in his coat, a bit of decoration to charm his vanity, an ornament for a summer's day." - Oscar Wilde
The engagement of Draco Malfoy and Astoria Greengrass is one that is celebrated by both their families and friends, greeted by indifference by those who don't know or like them and anger and hurt by one.
For this one person, the news of the impending nuptials brought only heart-break and disappointment. For she had made a grave mistake that no other has dared to do: to love Draco Malfoy.
Alice! I just found this story! My stars, girl, I love the way you write. I know that all of us Draco-lovers out there enjoy writing him as dark and complicated but with a good heart buried somewhere inside. However, I think that we all know there's a distinct possibility that he's the shallow dickhead you just portrayed him to be. I feel as pathetic as Pansy, because I love him either way. Keep being fabulous, my friend! :D
Summary: Ron and Hermione's marriage ends in failure. Hermione is resigned to the fate of her relationship with him, and attempts to find some independence and rekindle her Dumbledore's Army skills through a series of self defense classes. But she runs into her old Hogwarts nemesis, how will her romantic life take a different turn? How will her friends and family react?
And how will a distant and aloof Draco Malfoy learn to love and trust with Hermione's help?
Rated Professors for sexual situations. The story is mostly Deathly Hallows compliant, even considering the epilogue.
Fantabulous! Just build that sexual tension woo-hoo! My fave lines: "What if I were really attacking you? (italics) I'd let you do whatever the hell you wanted...Looking forward to Chapter 5! :D
This is a great start to a promising story!I'll be following along, for sure.
"Since when do you even know what an emotional affair is?!"-LOL!!
Summary: When you are carried away with your worries, fears, cravings, anger, and desire, you run away from yourself and you lose yourself. The practice is always to go back to oneself. - Thich Nhat Hanh
He has been running for as long as he can remember - then again, that isn't saying much.
Her job is to get him to stop - which is easier said than done. But it is him and her - it was never going to be easy.
Ohmigosh, girl! My chest was tight the entire chapter!! The tete-a-tetes between Draco and Hermione are deliciously tense, and at the same time, heartbreaking. I felt so badly for Draco as he heard of his role as a Death Eater and the one charged with Dumbledore's death- how horrifying it must be to learn of the kind of person he was. And, through all of this, you still make him damned sexy! My hat's off to you, hunny- another great chapter!! Luv, Stef :)
Fascinating as always, Miss Alice! I am so intrigued about this new Draco-oooh, what's really going on with his mind, what's happening between him and Hermione. I await more pieces of the puzzle- soon I hope! Hope the house-hunting is proving successful! Luv, Stef :)
You know you're awesome, chicky! The plot keeps getting thicker. Was it Lucius that called him "Little Dragon"- sounds like pet name from father to son. Of course, you probably can't tell me yet. ;) Keep up the good work-I'm on pins and needles for the next chapter! Luv, Stef :)
Author's Response: Ahhh Stef, I've been so bad at replying as of late! But thank you, so much, for your constant support - I always like hearing what you think! And you'll have to wait and see who might have said that to him...you might be getting some clues in subsequent chapters! I hope you enjoy the next few chapters :) ~ Alice
Alice! Hooray, you're back with another story- one with a riveting first chapter! Oooh, this is going to be good. I hope my sweet Little Dragon will be okay!! Looking forward to the next chappie! :D
