I am obsessed with Harry Potter, as are hopefully many of you. Although I have yet to write my own story, I love reading others, particularly post Hogwarts and Next Generation, as J. K. Rowling didn't cover them, and they are completely open to our imaginations. I am formulating plots for stories involving Teddy Lupin, Snape or Albus Potter, but I havn't got far enough with any of them to start anything solid yet.

Summary:

Year 2

The second year has begun:

After a summer without a word from Voldemort the trio began their year at ease for the most part anyway. With a flying car crash, and an incompetent professor, they believe this year will be a dull one. How wrong are they?

The Chamber of Secrets has been opened.

The houses become even more split than ever before. The famous Harry Potter is being blamed because he can talk to snakes, but the other students do not know there are two other Parselmouths in Hogwarts. The Moon Twins can hear and understand the omen whispers and they search for the culprit. Will their secrets and old habits of working alone lead them to lose all the trust they have earned? Or will the trio bond together like never before and solve the sinister mystery, before it’s too late?

Yay, lots of Snape in this chapter! Shame he's not making cookies or something equally brilliant. I hope you do continue the series further, as I can't wait to see how you're going to sort out the trio after the return of Voldemort, although you've told us the sides they'll take.

Ahhhhh, cliffhanger! Hopefully the next part of this chapter will be up very soon, so I can find out. It's definately interested me. I wasn't sure abou the scene with Salazar and Luna at first, as they seemed a bit young to me, but I liked the way it ended. I'm glad you've brought Snape into the end of the chapter, as he's one of you're biggest strengths (and my personal favourite character, real books of fanfics), and no chapter is complete without him popping up.

Author's Response: I completely agree about Severus. He's always been the best character. Sarcasm rules and he uses it so well. I have about two more pages to write to the next part and then I'll try to post it.

With Salazar and Luna I do think that Luna is quite young since she's only like eleven or twelve by now but that's why I had Salazar take the lead. Though, thirteen is still young, Salazar is and always been older in the mind than body. Besides, I made sure it was a very innocent kiss.

Hope you enjoy the second part as well and thanks for commenting. I love reading them.

This has to be the best chapter yet! I kept glancing at the scroll bar and getting dissapointed the further down it got as I didn't want it to end. As usual the characterisation is amazing, and I'm looking forward to Silver's revenge on Drake. The little detail about cookies at the end made me burst out laughing (I was picturing Snape in an apron making cookies.... incredible!).

Just read the much awaited new chapter and love it! I log on every day hoping your story will have been updated. I can still only guess where all this is going, but I thought Salazar's interview with Dumbledore was very well written and (like the previous chapters, and story of year 1) maintains each character brilliantly. Its also nice to see longer chapters, and more of them, than the first story; it means I get to read more!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the next chapter posted already! Very good as usual, and I can't believe how you manage to keep Snape in character and make him hug people.

Brilliant to see the next chapter, though there are a few typos which in places make the meaning unclear. It is insignificant and doesn't affect anything major, but it wouldn't hurt to correct it. Also, I respect the fact that in the USA you say 'mom', but it gave that section of the story a bizarre feel, that didn't fit with much of the rest. I would reccomend using 'mum', and appart from that it could almost have been written by Rowling.

Author's Response: Thank you for pointing out the 'mom' vs. 'mum' idea. Being an American, I didn't think about it when I wrote it but I agree with you and I'll make a point to use the British form from now on. Thanks again!

Excellent as always! There are a few typos, but nothing major. It just registered in my brain that Snape was kissing. It didn't sink in at the end of the last chapter, but that's the most bizarre image! I love how you make Snape do the most un-Snapelike things, yet make him sound exactly like JK Rowling portrays him. Possibly the indication of time passing could be implicated more? Obviously we've had time indications such as the Gryffindor/Hufflepuff match, but it seemed a bit sudden when you had Ginny get taken into the chamber already.

I'm having trouble with the more 'evil' Harry, but I the story is incredibly clever. Any chance of an update soon?

Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying the fic so far, there are currently a total of ten completed chapters. I am currently having a few issues getting Chapter 5 validated here, but my beta and I are working to try and get it posted. With any luck, the next chapter will be up in the next couple of weeks :)

Still loving all the twists and switches from the original story, and the large amount of Snape made my day.

Author's Response: Harry Potter wouldn't be Harry Potter without the twists. I couldn't write a Slytherin Harry without a lot of Severus, he's my favourite character and my namesake on here (I'm guessing he's yours too?). Thank you for the review, I'm glad you liked it!

Summary: Harry approaches his seventh year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with NEWT exams, Quidditch and yet another new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher all adding up to just another year of magical education. With the imminent war veiling every horizon, Harry begins to focus at last as the time for him to complete the Prophecy draws ever closer. New friends and old enemies start to show their true colours as allegiances are lost as fast as new ones can be forged. However Voldemort has his own plans which he intends to carry out and this time it appears that nothing and no one can stop him.

Meanwhile, at the root of it all Severus Snape walks the fine line between the two opposing sides; his choice, in the end, may make all the difference in the world. When the lines become blurred, the choice between good and evil is not quite as simple as you might think.

Sequel to 'Harry Potter and the Darkest Hour'. Book 7 mostly disregarded. Please R/R!

I loved the 6th year fic, and this one started just as strongly. You say in the chapter notes that its completed - could you post the rest? I went to another site to try and find more, but only found chapter 2. It would be a real shame to leave it hanging, as the characters are much better quality than most fics, and I love your handling of Snape! I'm intrigued to see where the Snape/Harry relationship is heading.

The story is amazing, and you've completely captured the characters. The situation you've created is ridiculously realistic, but its a shame you havn't further developed it. You've set up a situation perfectly, but move through it far too quickly. Put more events and details into it, as a story this good easily merits chapters much longer and further developed than this.

I don't think is was necessary to copy these two chapters into the story, since we all know them well enough. A short paragraph sumarising is as the narrator would probably have worked fine.

Thank you so much for providing a month or so of frequent updates to a very good story! You're writing is in a very similar style to the actual books, which made it an extremely good read. I may have had a few problems with the coying out of chapters, but the final lot of copying worked much better wih Neville's additions (especially as it seemed to be an extension of the original due to your similar styles). Neville was great, and the epilogue was a brilliant idea. I assumed you would put one in, but feared it might be on the platform for some reason... This worked really well, and it was completely natural.

I love the storyline you've created, and how convincing the characters are. It's very believable and entertaining, although if anything, the chapters are a little short and could have more detail/events in them.

It was nice that you gave Lupin and Tonks proper death scenes, but the tension never really built to the level one would expect for the final battle for the wizarding world. However, what you do have is very realistic and continues to fit perfectly in parallel with the story from Harry's POV.

I'm completely hooked by these ideas. Somehow whenever I think about their futures, I skip several years and never think about anything closer to the end of DH. I'll be looking out carefully for the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you're liking it. This started out because I just wanted to write that Ron/Hermione moment on the way back from Dumbledore's office, but then I got interested in the aftermath of the battle and all, plus I thought it was interesting in one of JKR's interviews when she said that Ron and Harry went on to be Aurors while Hermione went back and finished school without them, so I wanted to see how that might play out, too.

Summary:

Year 3

A year of hard choices and tough talks:

Destiny learns about the grim reality that is her dad’s past. Then it is a power struggle between Salazar and Severus as the trio takes up Occlumency on Dumbledore’s orders. Drake finally asks Silver to open up to him but can she do so? And, is Silver the only one that is confused about feelings? Drake doesn’t think so. Will Salazar awake to the reality that lies in his heart?

Voldemort’s servant returns to his master and while two have discussed their status, the third must choose. Destiny must decide where she stands in the next war to come. The end of the year comes as a blow. Will the long time allies decide to separate or will they finally become something more?

An amazingly written chapter with some really touching moments, coupled with the usual funny ones. I can completely imagine Snape setting an essay where only a third of the information is in the book, and I'm predicting that his dating conditions could lead to some rather large arguments later. I loved that fact that he revealed his love for Lily to Destiny, as it links us back to the parallel story that Rowling wrote. There were a few typos and gramatical errors though.
