My name is Joy. I'm eighteen. I play the violin. My passion is writing. My love is laughter - family, friends, the feeling that everything is right in the world, and all you can do is sit there and smile. I'm a freshman in college. I was born in Illinois, spent my childhood in Kansas, and now I live in California. I am a pastors kid, a big sister, and a nerd. I love shopping, driving with friends with the music blasting, and sitting on the beach. Nothing makes me happier than when people review my stories. (Please oblige.) I want to be the next Jane Austen. She's my hero: her story, her books, her humor. I want a Mr. Darcy;) Read my stuff.
NEXT CHAPTER! :)
Author's Response: I'll do my best. -N-
I was actually reading this again when it was updated, and I finished the fourteenth chapter only to be shocked to discover there was a fifteenth . . . loved this chapter and I'm super glad that you updated! This story and Grave Days are my favorite stories of what happened after the battle and are some of my all-time favorites on the archives. Update again soon!!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
The next chapter of this is now in progress so I really hope to be quicker with the updates. It’s now looking like there will be about 25 chapters in total. I intend to write two more post-Hogwarts H/G “novels” which will take me to the point where Ron and Neville leave the Auror Office in 2001. After that there are no “novels” planned until we reach married Harry in Strangers at Drakeshaugh. -N-
Growing up as Albus Potter was not an easy task, and being the son of the Chosen One wasn't a piece of cake, either. Expectations of greatness have the startling ability to crush someone, especially an eleven-year-old boy.
Join Albus Potter in his rocky journey to adulthood and what it's like to live, to learn, to love, to lose, and to be the middle child.
This story is going to be epically long, and yes, I will update. It may not come as fast as the updates to The Vindication of James Potter did, as I'm posting this as I write it, but I do promise that this story will not fall victim to apathy. Hopefully, you enjoy this story if you decide to read it. :)
and now u need to update :D
For the time being, I have decided to finish off my shorter works-in-progress before continuing this story. I do better work when my attention isn't split every which way. I do plan on finishing this story, because I've never NOT finished a story, but updates aren't set for the near future. I do predict that I will be back on the job no longer than six months' time.
Thanks for reading and reviewing. :)
I didn't mean for this to happen. Really. My plan was to get through sixth-year without doing any more damage to myself. I've already wrecked so many good things in my life. I thought I was done with my self-destruction.
Apparently, I'm not. Because falling in love with Albus was not part of my plan.
Next chapter, pot favor?
Author's Response: Haha, sure, thanks for reviewing!
Awww . . . This story really hit home with me. Losing a friend, finding new ones, seeing the guy you like fall for the b**** u hate. You captured every emotion I've felt over the years, and I don't know whether to hate or congratulate you!! :)
Author's Response: Haha, that's the idea for this story. Just about every teenage girl, including myself, has gone through this. Thanks for your review! An update might not be for a while, but it'll come!
Interesting story. Update soon!
Diana has always been different. She can make objects move without touching them. She can command animals without training them. She always seems to know when someone is lying to her. And strange things always seem to happen when she's sad or angry....
But even when the enigmatic Professor Dumbledore comes to tell her that this is all normal for someone like her, there are other things that still set her apart. She has no memory from before age eleven. She hears voices whispering to her when no one is there. And there is something more sinister lurking inside her, something that reminds Dumbledore of another student he had so many years ago....
Diana's birth was no accident. Someone has dark plans for her, and unless she can solve the Riddle of her past she may just become the very thing she strives to destroy.
I love it! Update soon!
the emotions you feed through the main character and the fact that harry died both give the reader such a gut-wrenching experience. thank you for writing this . . . it was a treat :D
This takes place right before your Arthur Weasley POV story, doesn't it? :D
Author's Response: It does, yes, well spotted. :-D -N-
Next chapter por favor, amiga!
Author's Response: ˇTenía un marzo loco! (since you reviewed in Spanish, I figured I'd respond the same way haha.) I am very sorry for the delay! I'm about halfway through chapter seven still because I've had a crazy month. As soon as I can, I'll send it off to my beta then post it for your reading entertainment. I have not given up!
Continue!! I'm eating this up!!
Author's Response: I'm on an iPad now, which makes it harder to write stories. I may continue this one, though
Tash and Harry are twins or something I take it?
Author's Response: Maybe ;)
We are all influenced by the actions or inactions of our parents. The same is true of Scorpius Malfoy; he has been raised by an overly protective mother and a father who is still coming to grips with the mess that his own father made of his life. Scorpius knows that he will be judged at Hogwarts by what others know or think they know about his father and grandfather.
At Hogwarts Scorpius will meet:
Albus Potter the middle child of ‘The Great Harry Potter’ and Quidditch star Ginny Weasley Potter. A boy who not only has things to live up to but an older brother ready to remind him of who’s boss.
Rose Weasley, Albus’ surrogate sister/first cousin, struggling in her own way, not her mother’s way, to succeed.
Kaitlin Jones, daughter of Tornados player Owain Jones and favorite niece of Gwenog Jones, who is at home on a broom and lost almost everywhere else.
Jimber Dokes recent immigrant from the West Indies trying to fit his own magical heritage Vardoo with the Western style of magic taught at the school
Thad Vance, the Gryffindor Quidditch captain, his grandfather and all of his uncles and aunts were killed by Death Eaters, maybe Lucius Malfoy
Meanwhile in London, Draco and Astoria Malfoy try to build a new life and legacy by betting all they own on a Potions Shop in Diagon Alley.

yay!! i really like this story . . . I was really excited to see the next chapter under "most recent" :D
Author's Response: Thank you. The next chapter (Index) will be the last! -N-
I liked how u ended with Madam Pince . . . she's such a mysterious character to all of us :D
Author's Response: Irma Pince is a LIBRARIAN (but not the hairy orange banana-eating type (Terry Pratchett joke)). It’s a dangerous profession. -N-
I love love love love love love this story. The emotions, the reasons, the fear, the pain, it's all so real the way you write it. When the last line came I was praying it wasn't over. :D
Author's Response: Thank you so much!
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

If u take that long to update again I'll b very upset :)
Author's Response: haha i'm sorry...i know this next one was long too...but the school year's over so i can update regularly again, and the next one is in queue!
Holy crap I LOVE this :) LOVE LOVE LOVE. This is really good . . . Romantic angst, the very best kind, haha. I can totally imagine these words being penned during that time. :)
Author's Response: I'm so glad you think it's believable. :) I am honestly sick that I have not yet posted the second half of this--not sure when a chapter has given me such fits. I wanted it up by July, but I think I will be pleased to see it up by the end of the month now. Thanks again for your sweet review. I'm so glad you liked it!
whoa. that's all i can say, that's all i can think when i read this . . . just . . . whoa. that's something none of us expected . . . riveting. i enjoyed it a great deal :D
Author's Response: Thank you! I understand your reaction, because sometimes I still look at this and think, "I really wrote this? Yikes!" :) I'm glad it was unexpected, and I'm glad you enjoyed it none-the-less. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!! ~Gina :)
