Nice way to kill Voldy although I don't get how she put other peoples emotions into his mind. And what I meant in my last review was ho come when Voldemort killed Harry, Harry didn't go to the limbo place and come back again

Author's Response: Legilimency can be used to manipulate other people's thoughts and emotions. Voldemort did, after all, make up a scene to put in Harry's mind in OotP. I sort of expanded upon that idea in my own world, making it possible to manipulate and exaggerate somebody's feelings; Snape did it to Lottie a few times in earlier chapters.

Oh, I see. Harry did go to the limbo place, but instead of choosing to come back as he did in the books, he chose to "get on a train," as Dumbledore called it. The AU conceit I'm using in this story is that Harry made that choice.

Thanks for the review!

I liked Snape. And does this mean that you won't tell that Palmytor released Snape. And are you going to like do a sequel or something or just finish it all in one story, because what palmytor said is a great line to end t.he story on

Author's Response: Ahh I never thought of ending it on that line! No, there are a few more chapters coming in this story, with no sequel. You'll find out how Snape got released, I promise! Just not quite yet. =)

Thanks for the review!

Evil cliffhanger making person

oh and its confusing how harry dies yet he came to this place. You'd think he'd keep coming back and leaving again.

Author's Response: Ahahaha sorry!

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Harry met Lottie at her limbo-place, just as Dumbledore met Harry at his.

Thanks for the review!

Maelioric is an idiot. He compromises the entire rebellion for five minutes with someone he loved. I mean it's very romantic and all but it's just SO stupid. Oh yeah and wouldn't it be a bit more sensible to just do a mass evacuation rather than stay and die.

Author's Response: I agree with you. It's really quite a selfish move of his, though he's certainly not in a very rational state of mind when he makes his decision. I don't think I would ever do that, though I can't say I've ever been in love as deeply as Maelioric was with Melinda.

There are several reasons they don't just evacuate. First of all, they don't have anywhere to go really. I suppose they could all go to Odin Alley, but they couldn't really fit the entire school there. Keep in mind that this is Voldemort's world; nowhere is really safe for them. Secondly, the heads know that Voldemort has no more Horcruxes left. If he goes to the castle himself, which is likely when he thinks he has them so cornered, he's putting himself in a very vulnerable position. They need to confront him at some point.

Thanks fort he review!

OK I'm just gonna guess that its Colm even though that's a bit too obvious so knowing you it'll be this random person we've never even heard of.

Author's Response: Ahaha I wouldn't pull a completely new character out of a hat for something like this, so you can rest easy on that one. (I actually hate when a "big surprise" ends up being a character that nobody is invested in.)

Thanks for the review!

To obvious

You gave away that it was Colm when you killed Maelioric off. It would've been nicer if you'd gone into his motives for becoming a death eater a bit more. Oh and is Colm going to save Lottie and then have a really soppy romantic ending or will Colm turn against Voldy and die while Lottie gets her wand and kills Voldy. It would've been nicer if the traitor had been more unexpected or there was two of them or some surprise twist like that.

Still it's too late now

Author's Response: Whew. When I was planning this five years ago, I had no idea what close readers everybody would be, but I certainly learned my lesson. I wanted the Maelioric chapter to be a hint, but since it was apparently a bit too clear beforehand, it was just a dead giveaway. Next time I write in a twist (which will probably not be fan fiction, so I guess it won't be on this website) I'll definitely be subtler. I want jaws to drop!

I would keep reading, though, because there might be a couple of surprises left!

A nice sad ending although it's not really verysatisfying becuase you have no idea what happens next

personally I prefer stories where the hero dies in the end rather than happy endings and i guess this comes at about halfway

BTW was the title about the horcrux in the dep. of mysteries or some deep meaning

Author's Response: I'm sorry I left so much open; I don't think it really matters too much exactly what Lottie does from here on out, since the slow path to her healing has been set.

Oh, yes, good catch! The key to where to Horcrux was hidden was hidden "between infinity."

Thanks for the review!

I don't think any hints are required really. You could give like a really good description and then say he was under polyjuice potion or something. Oh, and if you're going to do another story it would be really nice if you posted it online and put a link here because you're a really good writer

Author's Response: Hm... Maybe. I tend to get frustrated when there's a big reveal in a story and it comes from absolutely nowhere; that's what I love about JKR's work--is that when there's a big twist, you look back and can't imagine how you missed it. It's a fine line to straddle.

When I finish this new story, I'm probably going to try to whip it into shape and take it to publishers. If anything comes of that, (aka my dream come true!) I'll definitely let readers here know!

Thanks for the review!

You're turning into JK Rowling

killing off perfectly good characters for absolutely no reason

I hope that either the next chapter ends in Lottie dying with Voldy because I don't think that there could be a good ending with all these characters killed

Author's Response: Ahaha I'm sorry. I think my death tally is a little bit higher than Jo's... Alsemore is just so outnumbered; it wasn't likely that many of them could make it.

Thanks for the review!

There's finally a bad protagonist

Author's Response: Hahaha she's definitely miles away from Harry's sense of morality!

Thanks for the review!

Wow, its kind of funny how everything just kind of fell into place in a perfect misunderstanding. Of course he's also under the Imperius curse so he'd probably have done it any way

Author's Response: That's the key--that he's under an Imperius Curse. Even if Lottie didn't have the Mark, he'd probably find some way to convict her; she's just especially unlucky.

Thanks for the review!
