Summary: It's Christmastime, but it doesn't seem very cheery at Hogwarts. Seamus is walking down a dismal hallway, lost in his depression, when he runs into someone--literally. Will he be able to have a happy Christmas?
Written for the December/Christmas/Winter Snows Challenge 2005.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww! This was so sweet. I love Seamus/Lavender. Do you have any more stories about them?
Summary: One shot- It’s a regular day for Paravati: gossipping with Lavender, lusting after hot guys, and listening to her friend’s endless stories about everyone else. She picks the wrong guy to flirt with today, though, and Ginny’s not happy. When her spell causes Parvati to fall in love with an apple, how far will Parvati have to embarrass herself before Ginny’s satisfied that she’s learned her lesson?
Hi-lar-iuos! All I have to say. I never read humor but this was was amazing! I could barley contain my laughter :)
Summary: One-shot, HBP missing moment Lavender seems like the girl that has everything. She's pretty and attracts boys like a magnet, but deep inside, she has the same insecurites, just like all other girls. Deep inside, she wants to find the boy that will sweep her off her feet. Just when she thought she found the one, it all turned out to be a hoax. Look into the world of Lavender's heartbreak as she reflects on her relationship with Ron.
I'm one of the very few people who like Ron and Lavender together, so this was a really good story :) You're a really good writer. I also like Lavender and Seamus so I liked that you put that in there. This was really good. :)
Summary: This is a sort of missing moment from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Fred and George Weasley are trying to do an experiment in the midst of packing for their third year at Hogwarts. What will happen when the experiment goes slightly awry? This was a finalist in the One-Shot Weasley Twins Challenge by Cinderella Angelina of Hufflepuff House.
Now when I read SS I won't be able to look at this scene the same again. Before when I read SS I thought that (during this part) Fred and George were just being Fred and George. Nice way of looking at it.
Summary: Lavender Brown is going to prove herself to the man she loves. . .even if it means she must become a Death Eater.
A two shot, slightly darker than the other stuff that I've written.
This was very different from what I usually read. Good different, too. I like the pairings and that you portrayed Lavender in a better light than JKR did in HBP. Good job :)
Summary: With her fortieth birthday approaching, Lavender Brown is seized with panic when she discovers her friends have a surprise party planned. Having declared herself permanantly thirty-nine, she does the only thing a grown woman can do when confronted with her age -- she does a runner. Apparating to King's Cross, she ends up on a train where she's surprised to meet a face from the past.
Will she confront her past and face up to her age? More importantly, will she return in time for the champagne?
This is Equinox Chick of Hufflepuff, and this is my entry for the Bookbasilisk 'Life Begins at Forty' challenge.
Thank you very much to Heather (MorganRay), Rose (Russia Snow) and Alyssa (Harry4lif) for their help in beta'ing this tale. Yes, three betas - I am greedy.
I never liked Cho, but I'm guessing you like her for the same reason I like Lav, we only see on side of them and we think there's more. This was a very good characterization of the two of them. Honestly I'm a Seamus/Lavender shipper but this was also awesome :)
Author's Response: Oh thank you. I don;t mind Cho. I'm more of a Lavender fan, because like you I think she's been dealt a bad hand by fanfiction. (Honestly, what teenage girl doesn't go a bit mushy over a boy?). Generally, though, I ship Lavender/Blaise with a good old Seamus as her friend. Dean was written as her bf long before I discovered my secret love for all things Blaise, though. (Lavender-blue, A Gryffindor True - is my Lav/Blaise fic if you're interested.) If you want to read another of my Lavender fics (and this time she is with seamus) then try Kissing The Joy as it Flies. I shall stop pimping my own fics now - ha ha. Thanks for the review. ~Carole~
Over fifty people died at the Battle of Hogwarts. There are dozens of stories of loss, betrayal, heroism and sacrifice. These are some of those stories.
Nominated for: Best General (Chaptered) story – Quicksilver Quills 2011
Great chapter, even if it lowered my respect for Draco. :) You mixed the Weasleys and Draco all into one chapter, kudos for that. Even the short mention about Fred almost got me crying.
And the 2 previous chapters, about Seamus and Lavender, were also really good (they're one of my favorite pairings) I just want Lav to like him back! :)
I can't wait for you to finish this!
Thanks for the review.
I’ve never had any respect for Draco, and consequently I had a lot of fun in this chapter.
Seamus and Lavender will not get back together in my stories (sorry). I have a long and painful future planned for Miss Brown, and Seamus doesn’t feature. The next chapter (Falling Angel) has now been submitted. Happy New Year.
