British and proud.
Wishes she was a witch.
Completely and utterly in love with the one and only Half-Blood Prince, Mr. Severus Snape. Adoring Slytherins, they have so much character :)
I'm a long-time fic reader, who's started to write. I've got eight one-shot finished fics and one fairly long, multi-chaptered fic in progress on this site, but I have
severalmany drifting about half written on my computer. Please read and review the fics that are up on this site, as with every author on here it makes my day :)
Feel free to contact me with anything Potter-Based, I love a good chat about my favourite Slytherins. Or Gryffindors. Or Ravenclaws. Or Hufflepuffs. Or anyone from the Potterverse, really.
Take a look at Gertrude-Lupin on DeviantART, my best RL friend who draws HP pictures, several of which inspired, or were inspired by my fics!
On this site;
An Epitaph - Bellatrix Black-Lestrange (There are many who hate her, even the person writing her epitaph has mixed feelings towards her, so what will be written on the tombstone of a mad-woman?) [One shot, completed]
An Epitaph - Fred Gideon Weasley (Another of the Epitaph Series, this fic bases itself around the tragic death of the much-loved Fred Weasley.) [One shot, completed]
An Epitaph - Harry James Potter (A close friend must choose the words that will grace the gravestone of the Hero of the Wizarding World for all eternity - how does he choose?) [One shot, completed]
An Epitaph - Severus Tobias Snape (The writing of the epitaph of the spy for the Order of the Phoenix, a pity the man who will write these words hates the deceased) [One shot]
An Epitaph - Tom Marvolo Riddle (Of the Epitaph Series, this is based on the not-so-tragic demise of Tom Riddle, A.K.A. Voldemort.) [One shot, completed]
Black And White (A very dark look at how a popular non-canonical relationship could have evolved, and how it could have come to end) [One shot, completed]
Harry Potter And The Slytherin's Stone - (What if Harry hadn't had a bad experience with Draco Malfoy as a child, and what if he had been sorted into Slytherin? How could his first year have been different if he had worn green and silver?) [Multi-chaptered, unfinished WIP, note; completed up to Chapter 13]
If (When the backbone of Slytherin House is close to breaking point, there's only one person with the will to help him, as seen by one of his best friends. First in series of three, If, So, and Then.) [One shot, completed]
Moving On (The Final Battle was more destructive than in canon, and now the few survivors are left to try to get on with their lives, five years post-war. HG/DM) [Multi-chaptered, note: completed, however not entirely posted on this site.
So (Plans to save the Slytherins from the War, as seen by the same Slytherin observer. Second in series of three, If, So, and Then.) [One shot, completed]
Survival (A visitor at a graveyard reminices on the war) [One shot, completed]
There She Is (A quick glance into a canonical relationship between two very disturbed individuals) [One shot, completed]
Although none of my fanfiction on this site has been updated with any frequency they are NOT ABANDONED! I have stopped posting on this site due to problems finding a beta to help me pass the stringent approval on this site. Unbeta'd work can be found at fan fiction dot net under the name of Half-BPrincess, other than several stories already on here completed/continued I also have a wide range of other Harry Potter fanfiction posted there that ISN'T on this site.
Summary: She supposed that she had never really thought about it much before that day – the day she saw him again, standing in the rain outside her door dripping and gorgeous, like a vision out of a hazy past.
One-shot, OW/HG, Not (necessarily) HBP compliant
What a lovely little romance - it's so hard to build up the beginning of a relationship in a one shot, but you've captured it perfectly. Watch out for your italics, they seem to spill over everywhere, but other than having to tilt my head to the side to read half of it, it was really good!
Summary: On May 2nd, 1998, Harry Potter walked calmly into the face of death to save those he loved, bringing with him only his wand, and four people brought back with an extraordinary stone. Unbeknown to him, they had also come on a journey to be with him that night.
So sad, and brilliant. It was heartbreaking when they all realised they were dead - you should really put a warning to grab tissues before reading this, it made me cry so much!
Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to review :) I would add a warning, but it would spoil the fun :D Sarah x
Summary: The times we've shared, the sacrifices we've made, and the love we've given each other are about to carry us through the most terrifying battle we have ever fought:
The battle to save each other, even though we know we will die together.
Tragic, and I absolutely hate you for making me cry! So brilliant, even with the need for tissues :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much, you have no idea how thrilled I feel right now! It is such a gift to hear such praise and I'm very glad you liked my story, thank you once again:). ~Maddy
Summary: Severus Snape, barely out of Hogwarts and hungry for knowledge, joins the Death Eaters to gain more. A loner, he does not consider himself anyone’s servant.
On the same night he gets branded with the Dark Mark, he meets with Albus Dumbledore who begs to differ.
Thanks to the lovely Alex aka welshdevondragon for beta'ing this!
I really love this insight into Severus' mind, the obsession with academia seems very like him. However, I do have to wonder how he could receive failing grades? I was always under the impression that Severus, along with Lily, was favoured by Slughorn - surely he would take the time to read into whatever Severus had submitted?
Also, I can't fathom how Dumbledore would have gotten his information about where Severus had been? Wasn't Severus the only spy? Or is Dumbledore really omniscient?
Anyway, overall it was a really great fic, and kudos for you for managing to write a completely in character Severus :)
Author's Response: Thank you for reading and reviewing! We all know how happy it makes us to have proof that our writing is interesting enough to comment on... Yes, you might be right, Slughorn probably favoured Snape. Although, that is an ooc Slughorn rather than Snape, which I can live with. (And on a side-note; I do think Slughorn would be quite harsh to the students he wasn't charmed by and Snape was hardly charming at school...) Dumbledore is definitely omniscient. Didn't everyone know that? Ok, Ok, I admit, I just needed a way for Dumbledore to confront Snape and I didn't entirely think it through... Thanks again for the review and I'm glad you thought Snape was in character. Although his "voice" in canon is pretty consistent so it didn't feel that hard really... Or perhaps I'm just too obsessed with him...
