That was simply beautifully written. I really, really loved it! All the tension and emotions were perfect. I'm sorry your granddad died; even though I didn't know him (or you) I lost my grandfather several years ago and know what it feels like. Please keep up the good work, this is a really amazing story.

Very funny idea. Claw machines are extremely annoying when they drop your prize before you've actually won it. I went to Flordia once and there was a machine that worked nearly every single time you put coins in. We got like, seven stuffed animals before we realized it how much we'd spent. Anyway, great story!!

I just had to read this when I saw it was inspired by Ten Things I Hate About You, which is my absolute favorite movie. Those poems you wrote were really great. Just one bit of correction, because I'm weird like that. In the stanza you included in the summary, on the first line, it says "your" but it should be "you're." Great one-shot!!
