To anyone who received an email regarding A Secondhand Life,
It's the first and last. I'm not pestering for reviews, I just thought that after such a long time, I'd go back and see if anyone who at one point showed interest was willing to come back and read more.

Crossing the Board by Seren
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 22]
Summary: There have always been arguments over which piece of the board is the most powerful. Most will say the Queen; she can mimic any move, take any square. Others will say the King; despite his limited mobility, the entire point is to protect your king and capture your opponents. It is the center piece of the game. There are any number of arguments for five of the pieces. The last piece, or pieces, are often neglected. They are the front line, the first defence, and the first to fall. All but one. And Ron must see it to the other side.
This was really brilliant. I love how you describe how Ron views chess, and how he's with Harry and Hermione. Great job.

He decides to look back on his entire Hogwarts years and write down his list of things not to do at Hogwarts.
Amazing ♥ Totally funny. Loved it. Very original.
I really like how you portray all the characters. They act very much like seventeen-year-olds and are very in-character. Great job!

Summary: Ron accidentally takes a potion to free him from his every inhibition - with 'interesting' results. Will this finally be the push that makes him reveal to Hermione his true feelings? Not so much fluffy as funny.
The bit about Ron running around the Great Hall and dancing in the dormitory was hysterical. Great job!

You didn't mark this fic as finished yet, but you did say only twelve chapters. I'm pretty sorry to see this story end, but it was a fabulous read and on the top of my favorites list. You did a great job describing how Hermione felt so safe with him, and you stayed away from all the cliche's that could've ruined a story like this. Congrats on such a great story!! :-)
That was so not a boring chapter! I'll admit, it was as exciting as the others, but it was very interesting to watch Ron react to everything Hermione does. I love this story. Please stick with it, no matter how long we have to wait for you to update, cuz it is so worth it!
The ending was really sweet. :-) I like how you keep changing points of view btwn Ron and Hermione. Keep writing, this story is brilliant!
I didn't even know you rewrote it, since I only became a part of this site during the summer. Well, it was worth it! Awesome story :-)
That was a great chapter! Like a Quaffle. I thought that was pretty funny. 10/10
