Author's Response: I'm not sure what kind of face that is, but thanks for reading! Hope you liked it! ~Gina :)
Summary: After the Dark Lord's victory, Hermione is given a chance to live under one condition- to marry Draco Malfoy and continue the dwindling bloodline. Refusing to succumb to her destiny, Hermione devises a plan to escape and reunite with Ron before the wedding. Will she be able to successfully carry out her plan with the wedding a week away without Draco Malfoy knowing? Or will she unexpectedly fall in love with him?
I really like the idea and this first chapter. Hope you are creative with this story and reveiw soon!!!!!! Good Luck!!!!!!
Summary: After being shamed for his role in the war, Draco Malfoy doesn't see anything but prison on the horizon. However, when help arrives in the form of a longtime enemy, he can't help but be a little lost about how he's supposed to feel about it.
I have never been very good at poems but why would Harry feel used?
Apparently you've never been taken out on a 'date', liquored up, and had the moves put on you. XD
Essentially, Harry thinks that Draco is taking the piss and mocking him, even after everything that Harry had done for him. The idea that Draco actually felt something for him wouldn't have even occurred to Harry. Hope that clears things up. :)
Summary: What started out as a release from the misery of their lives grew into a symbiotic need for each other...perhaps even more than that. But his lies and his betrayal led to the end of them and his only solace.
As Draco works up the courage to explain himself to Granger, he thinks back to the start of it all and how they used to be. Will he be able to persuade her to come back to him? Or is he so far down the path of no return that redemption is no longer an option?
This was a wonderful story. I loved how I got to see a different side to both Hermione and Draco. Even if it was a little wordy at times, but the imagery was brilliant. This story might be my favorite out of everything I've read. It is a combination of everything I love about romance stories. Thanks for making it canon, it makes me think deeper into what might have been going on for real in the books. I usually go for the sappy endings with the princess marrying the prince but you really explained this so well and kept to Hermione and Draco's characters and put so much emotion into this story that I think I like it better this way. So sad, and real. But Anyways Loved It! =)
Author's Response: Wow - that's so kind of you! I personally prefer writing within canon as it's interesting to explore what might have happened between the lines (though I definitely don't think Hermione did really have a secret affair with Draco in HBP). I'm glad that you felt that it fit within canon nicely! Again, I prefer writing the sad or bittersweet endings rather than happy endings - especially for this pairing as I find it hard to believe them living happily ever after. Thank you for your kind review!
It's a secret, and it haunts you but you won't tell.
This is lucca4 of Gryffindor writing for The Great Bannermakers' Hall Challenge.
It won …and I am still shocked!
Thank you, thank you, to my beta Alex/welshdevondragon, who has beta-ed this in the blink of an eye. She is amazing.
Also, thank you to Julia/the opaleye for the gorgeous, eye-dropping banner that inspired the story.
Nominated for a 2012 Quicksilver Quill Award - Best Dark/Angsty Story.
I thought this was really good and you got their personalities down really well
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! I'm glad you thought their personalities were captured nicely :). xx Ariana
