Summary: This is a remodelled version of the story of the same name which I abandoned. It has turned into a romance, because too many people asked for a "happy ending" while beta-ing. It starts fairly slowly, but the pace does pick up, I promise!

After the release of the last book it is set in an alternate universe, as there is no way I can reconcile this with the Half-Blood Prince.

Very good! I loved the backround stories you gave. Somehow I just just can't imagine Draco not having some kind of money/power and I usually imagine Narcissa as cold and mean just like Lucius but I do Really Like IT!

Author's Response: Thank you very much proud_to_be_a_muggle. I was trying to go on what would probably happen to Draco and his father if the Ministry backed Dumbledore! I like Draco with or without his money! I never knew about Narcissa - she had a very soft streak in her.

WoW. this was heart touching. and I am sort of glad it doesn't have a happy ending, though the world was saved from an enourmas evil, because if it did it wouldn't be as real, as Right.

Poor Andrea. she was always in the backround, but always there to help and offer her rock solid princibles. She is like a light in all the desolation of that world, Someone not deserving of death but one of the most tragic casualties of war, to lose someone like Andrea.

I kept waiting for Lottie to change and be more like her, but i can't blame you for not Lottie isn't perfect like a lot of heros are described to be, she isn't a saint, born into a world that wanted to kill her surounded by death every second of her life. even in her safe-haven Alsolmore. but she was always pretty flawed, as someone with a gift, and as someone one who wasn't given the chance to appreciate and respect life. But don't get me wrong Lottie is awosme.

You know I was actually waiting for it to be revealed that Palymitor had in somehow betrayed them, I was never to fond of her

Author's Response: Thanks! I agree. An "All was well" ending would really not be appropriate for this story. I think there's definitely some hope in there, but it's really bittersweet.

Whenever I think of Andrea, I think of that quote from SS--"Always the innocent are the first victims." A character as true and good as Andrea could never survive in this world, even though she worked so hard to change it.

Lottie, I agree, isn't the typical hero. It was never in her life path to become idealistic and highly principled. If she had lived a typical life--maybe, but everybody was pushing her down a path, to fulfill a role that required her to become morally grey.

That's interesting about Palmyitor. She's like Lottie in that she's morally grey, but more so, since she's been fighting for much longer. She really played for her own means, and didn't value people as human lives. It was a matter of destroying Voldemort, and she would sacrifice everybody if necessary. So, while she was ultimately on our side, I agree--she's probably one of the least likable characters I've made. While I find her fascinating and love to write her, I don't think I'd ever want to meet her!

Thanks for the review!

Summary: What happens when the man Hermione feels far too embarrassed to ever see again (due to events entirely out of her control ... well, almost ... ) turns up as the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher? The War is raging, the N.E.W.T.s are approaching, and the only question circling through Hermione's head (much to her annoyance) is whether or not five years older is too old.

It seems to be out of her control once again; avoiding Oliver Heaney for her entire seventh year seems not only difficult, but well near impossible ...

Excerpt from Chapter Eight

Oliver was a nervous wreck all through his seventh year class.

It took all of his will-power not to glance Hermione’s way every three seconds. He risked it only a handful of times, making sure never to do so when her face was looking in even remotely his direction.

As is usual with one who is out of control of a course of events one began, Oliver began to panic. Second-guessing himself was not something Oliver was prone to, and yet here he was, asking himself those terrifying questions. Did she get the note? Has she read it yet? What if it was all a bad idea? What if it all went horribly wrong?

What if she took the note straight to Minerva and told her everything?

Don't worry, this story hasn't been abandoned, just moving in a different direction than I originally planned!

I really like your story (so please update quickly). I really loved how you turned Hermione into more of a 3-D character with her thoughts and memories in this chapter. And how Oliver treated Hermione like he actually likes her and not just lusts for her. and thanks for adding longer comments to each chapter. it helps. Cool. !-}

Hey, this is my first review but that does not mean that I have not loved your story and love you for writting it. WHAT HAPPENED TO LILY AFTER EMMA WENT UNCONSIOUS? I mean really you keep mentioning it slightly then lily can't take it anymore. I get that Lily went through an exteremely traumatic event and new things keep coming up but she really needs to have some backbone and stick to one belief and also its abou time she opened up about what happened and stop asking for people to understand when they don't know what they are supposed to understand. I am also glad that James stood up and did what he thaught he should do and he is back to being persistent. I really hope Lily doesn't really leave but it might be what she needs even though everyone at Hogwarts will be angry betrayed or dissapointed.

Yes, I have read every chapter and can't say that DISLIKED any of them (except mabe the epilogue because it really was pretty depresing and I could have lived beleiving in a sort of happy ending even though it was so believable. It was so depressing because it WAS so believable.). But I so wish you would add few more early, happy memories in the epilogue. I loved his proposal scene! And not just that he proposed but what he said about to her. And I also really liked the scene with Dumbledore and Lily when he asked for her to join the Order and his explanation about her actions. And I really liked that Serius was trying to convince Professor Mcgonagal that Lily and James had eloped but it didn't seem real how she and Dumbledore seemed to stay light and not to worried and not threatening and pressuring them more. I am so glad you mentioned Gabby Lewis at the end because it wa bugging me that James had not revealed Ted had lied to Emma and Lily about his family and I am glad that such a sweet deep girl does not really know what happened to her brother. It is sad to me that Alice and Julie just slipped out of Lily's life even though they had tried so hard to stay in but I guess that just happens. And I love all the completely wierd nicknames for Lily like -my darling lamb-, -my flower-, and insults like -being a lemon-. Anyway there was a perfect balance of humor, happiness, and tradegy through most of the story and THANK-YOU for the amazing read!!!!!!!

What the world doesn't know is that Lindsey is the daughter of two well-known imprisoned Death Eaters, and has an identity she must hide from the world. Underneath Lindsey is a girl named Lyra Lestrange, a girl who is meant to be a secret forever. But will it last forever?

*Begins in GoF and follows the series through DH.

**Will appeal to fans of the Black family! Prominent characters are Bellatrix, Tonks, Andromeda, Sirius, and (to an extent) Narcissa.

Part Four Synopsis:

It's the summer after Albus Dumbledore's death, and the whole world is falling to Voldemort and the Death Eaters. Broken-hearted Lyra, unable to return to Hogwarts, must go into hiding with her family. It doesn't last long, and eventually Lyra is faced with a choice: join or die. Lyra's decision comes with many surprises, including a new ally who follows her to the final battle of good versus evil. While Lyra's path may seem clear, she finds herself torn between two sides for the final time, and in the end, despite tragedy and loss, Lyra accomplishes the impossible...which defies all of the agreements she and her family ever made.

Hey, I just read your whole story in crazy mode for the last 2 days (addicting!), but couldn't review because I wasn't a registered person. SO thats how good it was that I just HAD to review. Anyway I loved it! but I was a little disapointed at the way it ended. I mean not the contents like what happend but that there was not more to it than that. It just seems so open-ended through out the story everything was just building up, I enjoyed it but it was still building, to a not very long end/fight I think you should make the fight last longer. I think you should make it in to a seiries or atleast give it an epiloge to tell what happens to her now after so much lost and stuff. but thats just me and I know it was probably a lot of hard work and all.
And also in the beginning both the prologue and the first chapter were kind of redundent(sp?)! but really you should keep writting with other stories if not with this because your writting was great and I loved how you included so much of the stuff that affected Harry Potter and thats what really made it REAL for me!
PS: no really keep writting stuff

Bye- these are all just my thaughts and ramblings! :)

Author's Response:

Thanks! It's always flattering when someone creates an account to review. Just so know you, that chapter was not the end (I know it was called 'Finale,' which probably made it seem like it was the end). There's still much to resolve! Though I don't know when I'll get around to posting them, there are two more chapters plus and epilogue that I'm going to post, so watch for those. Also I know the beginning (like all of part one) was redundant but I wrote it over three years ago...so my writing wasn't as good and I'm too busy/lazy to rewrite it :) Thanks again for reviewing. I hope you read the end!

Runner up QSQ - Best Chaptered Canon Romance

Reason for Nomination:
This is the most unique take on how James and Lily really got to know each other. The story is hilarious and keeps you laughing throughout, but it never lets you forget the serious stuff. Plus, she somehow manages to end each chapter with a nice cliffhanger.

Hey, the personalities of Snape and Dumbledore are right on!!!!!!
-“Perhaps, it is best to start with those marks that must have caused a few questions in the past,” Dumbledore continued assertively. “That particular branding is called the Dark Mark and they are giving to Death Eaters by the much feared, Lord Voldemort.” and I think there is somthing wrong with that sentence

Date: 11/13/10 Title: Chapter 19: Chapter 18: Bonded Departure

I love your story and I hope that you will keep witing sequals! I also loved the Snape and daughter relationship, in all those scenes Snape acted way within the Snape from the book's personality but of course with a softer side to Destiny. All your characters were so believeable but I kinda want Drake Bell and Destiny to fall for each other. I have to say that Destiny is my favorite even Silver and Salazlar are growing on me, mostly since Salazer's growing relationship with Drake Bell. You pinned Dumbledore's friendly all-know-iness and it was awsome how everything stuck to the books story line and if you think back everything you made up is very possible which justmakes it stick into my head even more than a random harry potter fic. I was sooooo relieved that the Moon twins did mostly the right thing, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep down they really do have good heart. And by the way I did see a few typos but was to lazy to reveiw, suggestion: if you coppy and paste each chapter one by one into a word document it will usually show you some things you missed. Anyway I REALLY want you to keep writing about their years at Hogwarts, PLEASE! Like next with the chamber of secrets I can really see how the trio would get into trouble with that one with their snake speaking, courious slytherin-ness, and their ties to Dumbledore, Snape, and Voldemort. So PLEASE! (Will flattery work?) You are such a good writer, SO good I am envious and wish I could write half as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Author's Response: Hey, that's for the praise. I say flattery won't usually work with me but never fear I have already planned on writing sequels. I have all seven books planned out already. I think I may even write a number eight but I'm not completely sure. I am currently writing the second year and four chapters are completed. However, as I am in college, I want to finish at least ten chapters before I start posting them, just in case I am forced to stop writing for a while. As a long time reader of fanfics I know how annoying it is to read half a story and wait months and months for the next chapter.

It's funny that Destiny is your favorite character because when it comes to writing I think that she is my favorite point of view. And, about Drake Bell, I'm sorry but Destiny and him will only be friends. They kind of remind me of a Harry and Hermione friendship. They seem like they could fall for each other but they never will.

To bring up the Twins I think you might learn to love them as they grow and change. They are they two characters that learn the most in the series. (Mostly with the help of Dumbledore and Drake.)
