Hello! I'm Ellie (age sixteen) and I generally write Next Gen fanfiction.
Turn to Stone: Two statues come to life for a night. That's literally it.
The History Teacher: Teddy teacher history and James struggles through his last year of school.
Chased by Daylight: This was written for Maple_and_PheonixFeather, and is my Leddy. It's been nominated for best NG story in the QSQ's.
Humbling Prejudice: Nominated in the 2013 QSQ awards for Post-Hogwarts and NCR, this story features Eloise/Cormac, a pair I was dared to write. Contains heavy literary references.
Waltz of Treachery: A short, sassy Helgazar.
Rain Will Make the Flowers Grow: My Albus/Rose, written for the 2013 Cotillion. It's heavily based around the June Rebellion in 1832.
Remember the Slytherins: Working on it.
Yellow Knit Hat & Finding Neverland: My James II/Lucy pieces. The first is not a real relationship (they do not even kiss), but it evolves into Finding Neverland.
Human Debris: This was nominated for best D/A in the 2013 QSQ's, and is a very dark piece based around Albus Potter.
421 Hours: For all of those who enjoyed All That's Left, I have a companion piece. Look for it within the month.
Poetry: I'll post a new poem periodically. (most likely when I have writer's block for RTS or are having it beta-d)
a. I thought that James was the seeker. (check hp 1)
b. love it
Author's Response: In the film it says he's the seeker, but in a Scholastic interview JKR said that he was chaser. Since JKR's word generally takes precedence, I decided to cast him as the chaser. Thank you so much for reviewing, and I'm glad you liked it!
I'm giving up on my story. I tried to get it validated 5 times, no luck. My friends and I made it into a play, so, it's all good.
Author's Response: Aww, come on, don't give up hope! :) I really wanna read your story! Do you have a beta? You can go to the Beta forums (look at the menu bar on the left) and hire a beta. They'll look over your stories and help you fix them. I'm sure it'll be validated :)
Okay. I'm trying it. Thanks!
Author's Response: ^_^ You're welcome! And don't forget to tell me when you're fic's validated, ok? :)
I love how you added the Salem witches. We learned about the witch trials a while ago in History, and I think that it is cool how you brought that in. I forgot to mention this earlier, but I really don't like what you did with Neville. He doesn't seem like the time to harden. Other than that. . . keep it up!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review :). I'm glad you liked it! And I'll remember what you said about Neville, I'll try to make him more Neville-ish in future :P. Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it:) --Nadia
Who could be the villian this time? The story I'm trying to get validated is sort of like this. . . in a sense. All seem well, then suddenly trouble comes back again! I still love it!
Author's Response: Haha, the villain's a secret! ;) You'll get to know in due time :) And good luck with your story! I'm looking forward to reading it. Thanks for the review, I'm glad you liked the story! :D --Nadia
I like it. I think that this has some great potential, and up to now, I do not have any complaints. Keep it up!
Author's Response: thanks a lot! I'm really glad you liked it :).
In the post Deathly Hallows world Harry Potter is a broken man, rejecting the public’s view of him as a hero and seeing himself as a destroyer of lives. Although married to Ginny and embraced by the boisterous Weasley clan, he holds himself apart from true happiness. The only solace he finds is among the other shell-shocked victims of the war: George Weasley and Andromeda Tonks. But young Teddy Lupin is determined to unearth the joy his godfather once had for life and in so doing adds to the alternate dimension where the cost of Voldemort’s defeat was not so high.
In the alternate reality, it has been seven years since Voldemort’s defeat. Reclaiming his own destiny, Harry has built a new life for himself from the ruins of the Potter estate. Although he did not hesitate to claim Ginny as his own, it has been an unusually long engagement period as neither of them has been a hurry to take that next irrevocable step. For Harry, these extra years have allowed him to recapture some of the carefree days of youth as he established his career in the Auror Department. Determined not to follow in her mother’s footsteps, Ginny has been making the most of the intervening years to cement her career with the WWN. The Lupin clan has been steadily expanding with the eldest, Teddy, immediately establishing himself as a Metamorphmagus, sporting bright turquoise hair at birth. In contrast, his younger sister inherited the delicate beauty of the Black family. As her parents await the signs that will identify her as a witch, one has to wonder whether she has any unique powers of her own.
Although this story starts on a dark and disturbing note, it is ultimately a tale of hope, healing and survival. It serves as an epilogue to both, Cruel Moon for the Misbegotten and Harry Potter and the Hero’s Lament; and consequently, contains all manner of spoilers for the canon series as well as the alternate universe my prior tales have established. Reading those two previous stories is recommended. Contains original characters who were established in prior narratives.
wow . . . that is all i can say. I love it, it shows the not everything is perfect, like so many books.
Author's Response: Glad you liked the starting point. Needless to say, I found the ending to DH to be very bleak. Sure, the epilogue paints a rosier picture, but that is a whole lot of years later. So with all that open landscape of unanswered questions, I found it intriguing to explore how Harry would have reacted once the new post-Voldemort reality sank in. Hope I managed to inject a bit of realism. Do let me know what you think as you continue to read on.
"James Sirius Potter, it is the judgment of the Wizengamot that you have been found guilty. You knowingly, in possession of sound mind and body, used the Cruciatus Curse and the Killing Curse in the intentional torture and murder of one Gregory Goyle the Third."
James Potter was going to Azkaban for the rest of his natural life, and his whole family was in shambles. His wife and child have fled the country, his sister was missing, and his parents were a wreck. However, James knew that he had larger problems: his guilt was coming more and more in question.
Though he knew that James was withholding information about the circumstances of the murder of which he had been found guilty, Harry had secrets of his own; however, even he could not handle this torrent of trouble alone. Can Harry trust his darkest confidences to anyone? Even family?
How will the Potter clan stop the downward spiral into pain and disaster, and can they recover what they've lost?
This fic was nominated for a 2010 Quicksilver Quill Award - Best Next-Generation Story.
I love it, I think that you have a great idea with this, and I can not wait to see where it is going.
Thank you. I was surprised when my baby plot bunny became a monster sized story, but I really like how it turned out. Enjoy the rest of the story!
Now this will become very interesting. Any hints on why James killed Goyle III?
The whys and so forth of Goyle's death will be in Chapter 9. Beware, it's pretty intense. Enjoy the story!
I knew that Lily would not be pregnant purpusely, but that was intense. I can see why it is Professors.
Author's Response: And now you also know why James would willingly go to prison for the rest of his life for something he didn't do. It's awful to contemplate, but he's a good man.
I love it! And you said this was your first fic?
Yes, this was my first fic. I'm up to 24 now, but this one was my very first plot bunny and my very first brain child. I'm glad you like it so much. Stay tuned, though...the story has only begun. :D
Ooooooooooooooo. . .
I can not say anything about this story but wow. I can see how it won the competition.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think my favourite part about it is that each event uncovers a new secret. Harry has spent his life collecting these secrets and building somewhat of a house of cards, but that all came crashing down. Ultimately, if you keep things from the people you care about, this is what happens.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you read the Epilogue as well. :D
i heart cliffes
Author's Response: So do I! Thanks for reviewing!
How did she come back to life?
Author's Response: She didn't, she never died, thanks for reviewing!
Please finish the story
Author's Response: I will, I promise, thanks for reviewing!
Okay, I love this story. I also live your use of the illuminati (*cough angels and demons cough*). So, I guess I got the cliffie I wasn't supposed to. UPDATE SOON!!!!!!
Author's Response: Woops, my mistake! Haha, no, but I actually got the name 'Illuminati' from a totally different source; it's such a good name that I just wasn't the first to use it. Thanks for reviewing!
wow . . . that was deep
I LOVE IT
I am liking where this is going.
