Pride and Pre-Juiced Plums: A Potter's Pentagon Love Story by Schmerg_The_Impaler
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 266]
Summary: A companion piece to the Potter's Pentagon trilogy... it's better if you've read the Potter's Pentagon trilogy, but you don't necessarily have to.
It's five years after Emma Weasley and her chums graduated from Hogwarts. Ted and Ivy are married, Haley is working at Madame Puddifoot's while trying desperately to break into show business, Jordan's doing whatever it is he does, and Emma is an Auror trainee working as a guard at the Chudley Cannons' stadium. The Cannons have actually been doing much better lately, due to their new star Beater, Tyrone Thomas. Unfortunately, Tyrone is Emma's ex-boyfriend. OH, THE AWKWARDNESS.
Follow Emma through her awkward adventures told in her usual insane way, as she experiences angst, hilarity, obnoxiously strange people, misadventures involving a deceptively dashing cad, Haley's wedding, the birth of Ted and Ivy's baby, and her own eventual descent into LURRRVE.
Written for the marvellous Vindictus Viridian's Pride and Prejudice NEWTs class on the Fanfiction Beta Boards, based on Jane Austen's fantastic novel, "Pride and Prejudice.".
Nominated in the 2008 Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Non-Canon Romance Story! And its lovely (haha) heroine, Emma Weasley, received two nominations for Best Female Original Character, while Haley Potter and Ivy Potter each received one! Thanks so much, guys!
You are absolutely mental...but I love you!! I honestly don't know how you come up with such brillant stories! Please oh please keep them coming!
Author's Response: DAAAAIIIIEEE! That is the best compliment I can imagine... and quite concisely sums me up. Thank you so much!
Summary: Sequel to "An Aversion to Change."
It's Voldemort's world now: a world of corruption, betrayal, greed, and violence. A world of evil thoughts and evil deeds, where no one can be trusted, especially those closest to you.
But through it all, there must be strength. There must exist those who will stand up to totalitarian rule, who will say no when others submit, who must survive despite their condition. There must exist the resilient.
Eventual Draco/Hermione with plenty of plot. Very dark, so read at your own risk!
Please oh please give them a happy ending! I forced myself to read through the abuse, rape and betrayal all in the hope that there will be a happy ending! The suspense aside, I love the story! Your writing is fantastic. The characters are so realistic and believable. Just well done! I really loved An Aversion to Change too. I prefered that one because it was less scary and dark. I would have loved to see a bit more of Severus because I find him so interesting but it's a bit late now I suppose! Thank you for writing such a great story that kept me riveted for all of these months! And good luck with whatever you do next (cliche I know!) My fingers are crossed for a happy ending!
Author's Response: To be honest, I kinda forgot about Snape. Lol. There was so much else going on that he never really had much of a place. Maybe in another story! Thank you so much for reading!!
Author's Response: Thank YOU! :)
AHHH! I love it! I love the way its so long aswell!! Please update! I cant wait!
Summary: Harry Potter has defeated the Dark Lord and proven the strength and the power of love. However, he is unaware of one tiny detail about the battle. The fact that, seconds before his demise, the Dark Lord felt something he was not supposed to feel.
So now Lord Voldemort finds himself in a place that is not Heaven, Hell or Earth but somewhere in between.
And he is not alone...
A Second Epilogue for "My Troubled Tyrant"
Wow just when I thought I stopped getting so emotional over fanfics you do this! I absolutely love your stories! So far I've only read Jemiz, FHV and MTT in that order, a little mixed up I know. To be honest I'm scared to start reading other stories of yours because they're not finished and I know I'm going to get just as hooked on all of them! Have you got any more Keedie and Tom in the pipeline? I think their story is my favourite because they're just such different people. It's not even the plots in your stories that I love so much bit it's your writing too! Please tell me that you'll not only keep on writing these fics but you might have a book out one day? It would be such a shame to waste your talents. Seriously well done! And I know it's cliche but you must be so proud! Good luck in whatever you do (my fingers are crossed it's something in writing!) All the best, Katie
Author's Response: Thank you for such a lovely review and for sticking with the writing, I'm really touched. It means a lot to hear from people so thank you :D
Summary: "There are many stories between the lines." - Jo Rowling, about the Black Family Tree.Cedrella's goal all her life has been to be the perfect Black. She has impeccable manners, commands respect, is always composed, and has never had a friend in her life. But Cedrella has a secret that is about to get a lot more complicated… Septimus is the youngest of seven Weasley brothers. His dearest wish for his seventh year at Hogwarts is to meet the mystery girl he once saw dancing in the Owlery in the dead of night… This story is a romance, but it is also a story about family, owls, and what it feels like to know you are worth something.
I loved it. Thank you.
Author's Response: You're so welcome! Thank YOU!
Summary: What if the characters in the Harry Potter films were portrayed—not by actors—but by the book versions of themselves, as created by Rowling? How might things unfold on that set? What would the characters think of the changes made from the stories they’d already lived out… to the ones written for the script?
This fic is a series of one-shots, posted as chapters, each from the perspective of a different character who is dealing with the changes occurring between the book and the script.
Holy Movie Canon, Batman! This fic won the 2011 Quicksilver Quill Award for Best Chaptered Humor Story. Thanks so, so much!
I absolutely love it! It's hiliarious! Well done!
Author's Response: Yay! Thanks!
Summary: Winner of the 2011 QSQ Award for Best Dark/Angsty One-shot!
It is true what they say about your life flashing before your eyes just before you die. As Theodore Nott, Death Eater like his father before him, stands on the battlefield in what is surely Hogwarts and his final hours, he remembers all that lays behind him: his father, the Dark Lord, the one girl he ever loved, and the thing he has forced himself to forget.
But you remember, don't you, Theodore?
Please tell me you remember me.
Wow. I can barely type through the tears. That was stunning. Thank you.
Summary: The seven women who loved Ron Weasley.
That was so sweet! I'm glad I'm not the only one who cried! It's do nice to see a completely Ron story...he often gets over looked. Well done!
Author's Response: He does seem to be one of the characters with less attention -- I'm glad you liked and appreciated this story on him! Thanks for the review :)
In the dead of night on Christmas Eve, Molly Weasley sits alone in her kitchen, reminiscing about recent events. She isn't very festive this year, and nobody can bring her out of her funk.
When a mysterious caller arrives in her dreams, Molly is taken on an adventure she would only think of in her dizziest daydreams. Will this be enough to liven her up?
I am ravenclaw1997 of Hufflepuff writing for prompt four of the 2010 Great Hall Christmas Challenge on the Beta Forums.
~ Complete! ~
I really liked it! Well done!
Please to another one, perhaps Fred coming to see George on his wedding day? I dont know! Theres a reason I'm not a writer! But really well done!
Author's Response: Thank you! That's actually a good idea... We'll see! ~Manda
Summary: I have an ominous feeling that trouble is brewing. Call it whatever you want—foresight into the future or a Slytherin’s sense of self-preservation. Either way, I know something is going to happen tonight and it’s not going to be good.
Peer into the mind of Daphne Greengrass on the night of the Battle at Hogwarts
Wow i absolutely love it! It's so nice reading stuff from Daphne's point of view. That's exactly how I imagined her aswell! I can't wait to read more! well done!
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! :)
Summary: Severus Snape is dead, but who is to write the epitaph for his tombstone, and what is there to say?
Oh sorry I didn't mean to scare you! I'm really nice in real life I swear. I did read Harry's epitaph I was just too lazy to review so sorry about that! I forgot to say in my other review that I love the fact that I don't know what side of the Atlantic you're on! Sometimes it's too obvious the writer is American and that they're trying to be British. I'd love to see an Irish author so if you know one be sure to pass their name onto me! Sorry I get distracted easily. On to what I meant to say; I would love to see an epitaph for Mr Fred Weasley. Or one for Bellatrix from her estranged sister? And then there's always the complex character that is Lucius Malfoy. I don't know there's a reason I'm not writing the stories! Like I said before, keep 'em coming!
Author's Response: I believe you, I'm just easily scared, tehe (seriously, me and horror films don't get on =/) Don't worry, I'm glad you liked the Harry one too. For the record, I'm a Brit writer - specifically English. I don't think I know any Irish writers (although I am half-Irish, I've never been to ze 'Emerald Isle', and I can do a mean Dublin accent). I have to admit that after reading your review, Fred and George's names did pop into my head more than once, though I hadn't considered Bellatrix or Lucius. I'm absolutely loving the idea of Bellatrix, so something might get written there, although possibly by Rodolphus. And FYI, you're not writing them cause you're reading them - I like to write what people will like (hopefully!) Anyways, much thanks for the review (again) :D
I loved it! Well done! It was real funny and not too sad which is always good. And it was really "Harry". Please keep the epitaphs coming!
Author's Response: Thank you for the review but AUGH! you're scary! Keep them coming? Currently, I only have one more Epitaph fic planned - Tom Marvolo Riddle. (There's the Harry James Potter one on here too, if you haven't read that.) If you have any suggestions as to whose Epitaph you'd like to see written, feel free to tell me. Write another review, or email me (the address is on my author bio). I promise I'll think real hard about anything you come up with :) I'm glad I managed to amuse you (ha ha ha, I now control your emotions) and that you liked it.
Summary: Anniversaries always trigger memories. When Hermione, Harry and Ron were captured and brought to Malfoy Manor, Draco refused to name them. As the Battle commenced, he never attempted to harm them. This is why. He was functioning under an idea that refused to quit, an idea that had recently been reinforced, the idea that he could admire - even adore - a certain Mudblood.
Written for the Tenth Anniversary of the Draco/Hermione ship.
I absolutely love the story so far! It's nice to see Draco being Draco instead of a Death Eater who magically changed his ways and becomes a gentleman like in so many other Hermione-Draco ships. I really like you other fic with Lia and Callie so please keep updating! Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks mucho, Katie! I agree, it was nice to write him like this, hehe. I will keep updating Lia and Callie's story. Next chapter should be next week. Thanks again!
