Trick or Treat!
3. She clicks on her mouse and swipes her wand;
Some stories go up, and some stories are gone.
Stories of her own? Why, she has plenty!
Fewer than one-hundred, but far more than twenty.
Wow! Can I just say that I think this story is brilliant and that it's the best Marauder story I've ever read EVER? Ha, no surprise at all you're nominated for an award.
I'm usually super duper picky about Marauder stories. I don't like cliches, and I'm the type of person who'll click the back button if I don't like the first paragraph of the first chapter, but this has drawn me in and been spectacular! Characterization is great, so realistic, especially Peter, and the plot is awesome. I only wish I'd thought of it first, lol. I absolutely cannot wait for chapter 19! Keep up the good work!!
Author's Response: Wow, thank you. Well, I'm rather pleased by your review because I look at that first chapter now and think 'Hmmm, what was I thinking?' Anyway, I will keep writing this, but have a few other chaptered fics that I update so hopefully it won't be too long. Thanks again ~Carole~
Seventh grader Alexandra Quick returns to Charmbridge Academy. This year she faces bullies from another wizarding school, a secret Dark Arts club, and the machinations of her father, but her greatest trial yet awaits her in the dangerous Lands Below.
This is the second book in the Alexandra Quick series.
Wow, I'm really not the crying type, but I was so teary-eyed and sad after Max died. I really like him as a character, and the fact that he sacrificed himself for his sister...*sigh* sooooo sad. I just finished this story and AQATTC this month, and I finally had to review. I love these stories, and I wish that you could publish them so that I could have them in book form, lol.
Since I'm from the US, I really appreciate a HP fanfiction set in the US and done very realistically so. Keep up the great work! I'm really excited to read the third and the ones after that!
Ahhh, sooooo great. I saw this was nominated for a QSQ in best non-canon romance, and holy mother of merlin, I pray it wins!
I have to say, I'm really narrow-minded about ships. I've got my select few, and then I'll support canon, but this was absolutely brilliant. The characterization was perfect, especially Blaise. You showed why he was a Slytherin but also how a Slytherin could be good in an incredibly realistic manner. And - you convinced me that Lavender's not just an annoying bimbo.
Again, great job!!!
Author's Response: YAY! thank you. I really wanted Lavender to be a likeable character because she gets such a bad rep in fanfic. I'm also a bit narrow about ships. I like canon, but I'll also explore things that could possibly have been canon if JKR had written another 16 books - ha ha. Thank you for the good luck wishes for QSQ. There's some stiff competition there, so I'm not holding my breath. ~Carole~
Hello! I'd just like to say that I think your story is really great, and I think that you deserve a lot more reviews!
The dialogue and story was very engaging and interesting, but the best part, I think, was the characterization. Even though we don't really see much of Andromeda and Ted, I think you've characterized them very well and that their personalities are realistic. Bellatrix (even though we don't see much of her) was also characterized really well.
Author's Response: Hi there!
Thank you so much for the review. :D I am so happy you liked my characterisation of Ted, Andromeda and Bellatrix. Did you, by any chance, come from the LJ community hp_commonroom? Just curious. Lol. I pimped my story there a few days ago. :P
