Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 616 Reviews
Summary: After taking different paths a couple of years ago, Ron and Hermione find each other again, both of them wondering if their separation was a mistake. This applies especially to Hermione, who is leading an empty, unhappy life next to her fiance.

This is a very nice story. Yes, Hermione is out of character in the beginning but you did a good job showing how events led her to become someone who was unrecognizable. I like the contrast between molly and mrs sanford, contrasting who hermione was and who she's become. It reminds me of the song stars and the moon by jason robert brown. In the song, a girl falls in love with a man who promises her stars and the moon but marries a man who can give her a yacht and champagn and she is unhappy and realizes she'll never have the moon.

I do think the story drags a bit at times. Also, i would like to see more Ron. However, nice job and i look forward to the ending.

Author's Response: Thanks so much :) I completely agree; it drags so much at times that I want to pick it up and run with it.

The Letter by Cassandras Cross

Rated: 6th-7th Years • 439 Reviews Past Featured Story
Summary: DH SPOILERS! Harry is so consumed with his career as an Auror that he loses touch with Ginny and their children until a letter arrives to help him remember what really matters. But is something sinister waiting out there to take it all away? An escape from Azkaban, the first in twenty years, stirs up Harry's worst fears from the past as those he loves are threatened.

Romance, mystery, and drama combine to make this a story you won't soon forget! Set one year before DH epilogue. Completely canon compliant. All reviews receive responses.

THE EPILOGUE IS UP! I don't know whether to laugh or cry as this story comes to an end, and Harry finally figures out where it's really at. (Thanks again to the amazing mods for your rapid-fire response!)

I really enjoyed this story. It was a clever plot, extremely well crafted, and the style and tone fit with JKR's books. I felt like I was reading the 8th HP book

All For You by jenny b

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 16 Reviews
Summary: ‘Do you think we can keep this a secret forever?’

Scorpius has met the person of his dreams. The only problem is, now he has to tell the world. The world that was expecting him to marry a pretty pure-blood girl one day- not Albus Potter.

This story is adorable! I love your characterizations of Al and Scorpius. I had never considered the pairing, but after reading the story, I've become a fan. Quite Romeo and Juliet-esq, I think (though i don't know that both houses are quite alike in dignity).

My favorite part is:
‘Do you think we can keep this a secret forever?’
Like it usually did when he said something like that, my stomach did a back flip. ‘Forever?’ I asked, smiling to myself as Albus leant his head on my shoulder.
‘Well, as long as we’re together,’ he said. There was a brief pause, and then he said quietly, ‘I hope it’s forever.’

I love the way you capture such personal intimacy with only words.

The only problem I had was Scorpius' parents. I don't know what made their feelings about their son change so drastically overnight.

I would love to see another short fic from Al's point of view. I like the way you pull in Rose, but I'd love to see the Potter's side of the story. What is their family dynamic? How do they react?

When Worlds Die by MagEd

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 20 Reviews
Summary: In any man who dies there dies with him,
his first snow and kiss and fight . . .
Not people die but worlds die in them

~Yevgeny Yevtushenko, "People"

His twin is dead, and as far as George can see, the whole world might as well have died, too. In other words, this is the story of how George Weasley grieved in seven steps. *one-shot*

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad I could capture the twin dynamic, esp. as I'm not one myself! :)

The Boy Who Lived: The Tragedy of Heroism by xxwunderfunkxx

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 10 Reviews
Summary: The seventh book left many things unexplained that happened between the final battle at Hogwarts and the Epilogue. J.K. Rowling has mentioned what happened to various characters after the defeat of Voldemort. This story (the title of which reflects Rita Skeeter's biography of Harry) includes some of the things that happened to the characters once the war was over. It also explains what happened between Harry and Ginny that brought them back together, and how Harry began his career as an auror.
