Senses by Gryffinpuff

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Sense: a word of so many meanings. This is a story about senses. The common sense notion of self preservation that is lost when friends are in need, the senses of the body that can be damaged so easily, and the intuitive senses of the heart that tell you when things have changed. R/Hr focused with a little bit of H/G, not a lot of fluff, with rotating views between the characters on a truly horrific day.

Ashley, congrats on a great story!!! I read it with bated breath and completely ignored my work all day. This was really a great R/Hr, one of the best!! You captured them so well- made them realistic and mature. Loved every word!!!!

No Contest by WeasleyMom

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Sunshine spilled down onto the small grassy spot through a window in the tall trees. She stood a couple of yards back, staring at eleven letters cut into rock. It was beautiful, and yet, to Hermione’s eyes, nowhere near a worthy enough tribute for a life so full of rambunctious joy.

Weasley Mom,
I just love your stories about Ron and Hermione. I am new to the site and have been reading mostly Ron and Hermione stories and yours have been the best.
Continue writing!

Author's Response: Oh, thank you so much! R/Hr are my favorite, too. Thanks for taking time to leave me a review!

Really enjoying the story!! Great follow through from grave day.
Though I am trying to understand what is going on with Hermione. Do you plan on tackling what is going on with her? The past two stories you have made her very... weak. I hope she gets a chance to explain herself and the change of attitude. Keep up the good work though. Loved your other stories!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Hermione gives me a lot of trouble. Im not certain that shes as weak in this story as she was (for I hope obvious reasons) in Grave Days. She will remain in the background for a few more chapters, but not forever. N

I liked this story! And I really liked Kenley! I have not gotten into much of the next generation stories, but she intrigues me. Why is she on Slytherien? Does she even know?
I hope you continue with her story.. I would like to read more and see how the slytherien/ gryffindor drama play itself out. Great job!

Author's Response: Ooh, you've made my day by reading and reviewing this. I'm so glad you liked Kenley want to know more. I'm afraid I can't really answer your questions without spoiling things for you, as I am working on turning this into a chaptered fic. I will say that you've already picked up on a bit of important truth though regarding Kenley. I don't know if you frequent the beta boards at all, but I just posted a James/Kenley drabble there for the gryffindor challenge. Just a bit more, if you are interested. Thanks again.

Swimming Lessons by WeasleyMom

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Six weeks after the battle, Hermione puts on a bathing suit for the first time in nearly a year... scars are revealed as painful memories rise to the surface yet again.

I almost submitted this under dark/angst, but at the end of the day, I see it as Ron/Hermione. *shrug* Also, a gazillion thanks to my awesometastic beta Natalie, and to both Neil and Carole for helping me with all things British. :D

Great job weasley mom! This story allows us to think how did hermione move forward after what happened to her? I am sad that it was given more attention in the book....I think you grabbed her sense of doubt that I am sure she will have for sometime

Author's Response: Thanks. I think she would have gone through a lot after it all was over. Everyone would, but I've given her a lot of thought as she is one of my favorite characters. Thanks again for the review!

Tales of the Battle by Northumbrian

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Over fifty people died at the Battle of Hogwarts. There are dozens of stories of loss, betrayal, heroism and sacrifice. These are some of those stories.

Such a hood story!! I hope you write more tales.., you captured much of what happened outside of Harry's world. Good job!

Author's Response:
There are (or will be 23 "Tales of the Battle" from 23 different perspectives. The stories are linked (in that it's the same battle. Augusta saw the person responsible for killing Auror Cleverley (in Chapter 4) but you'll have to wait for a long time to find out who dug Polly Protheroe out from under the rubble.

Letters from the Tent by WeasleyMom

Summary: A distraught Hermione takes quill to parchment.
Reviewer: Aussiegirl_USA Signed
Date: 10/04/10 Title: Chapter 1: The Letters

Weasley mom, you did it again...
I loved the letters. I could see Hermione secretly scratching out the words because she would not want Harry to know. Her revolving emotions make sense for who she is. I love how she regretted not just walking into Rons arms when he came.... But that is who she is, huge temper with a huge heart. Can't wait for the epilogue - here is an idea how about one from Rons POV?
Great job!!

Author's Response: Thanks so much. I'm thrilled you liked this. As for Ron... ah, Ron. ;) I love thinking about what was going on with him during this time, but I haven't considered writing it for two reasons. First, he can barely write letters when correspondence is actually expected, so it's hard for me to imagine him processing this way, as I can easily do so for Hermione. And two, two other fanfic authors have already written lovely fics on Ron's time away from H&H. If you haven't read them, you should check out Weeks and Weeks by Ravensgryff and The Dawn by ahattab33... they are both just wonderful, and completely satisfy my imagination regarding that time for Ron. Thanks again for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it!

Of Understanding and Misunderstanding by MagEd

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The seven women who loved Ron Weasley.
Reviewer: Aussiegirl_USA Signed
Date: 10/11/10 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Oh I am so glad you did one for Ron!! I love Ron, and I can't stand how people love to portray him as this stupid boy who never grows up!! I have always believed there was more to him then what was on the surface and you completely scratched that!! Because if there wasn't, why in the world would Hermione be with him?
When I read your other stories, I kept hoped you were going to do one on Ron and I wondered who the 7 people would be... I thought of everyone except for Angelina. I think it would have been neat to have a POV from Hermione's mom. She is not shown very much and I think it would be neat to see why she loved Ron (even though not the same feelings- but similiar to why Mrs. Weasley loves Harry).
But loved it!! Captured the back and forth that is very Hermione and Ron and the love they have for one another. Great job!! Sob, sob!!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad this didn't disappoint -- I was a little worried it would, because so many people were looking forward to it. Hermione's mom would have been a good one to do, you're right, but it never even occurred to me!

Again- you did it again!
I loved the idea that Ron and Hermione would keep trying to get pregnant to themselves and not tell anyone.
You have them so checked in. And I strongly believe that Ron would get more mature the older he gets. That Hermione needs someone who is not as rigid as herself- she needed someone who could see through that. The clues are there throughout the wholes series!
Again great job and keep them coming!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the kind words. I wasn't sure at first about them keeping it to themselves, but now I'm ready to stand by it. Though in this fic, I did initially have Ron hesitating at Harry's door, wishing he could confide in him about what is going on... but he doesn't because he and hermione promised to keep it between them for now. Anyway, interesting to think about. I'm glad you thought it worked. Thanks again for taking the time to review.

This was such an intense story. I am a huge Ron and Hermione fan and I love stories that makes you feel for them and witness the frustration on both of their parts in regards to their relationship.
I enjoyed reading his POV and seeing how he was looking out at the world and most important- how the locket was tainting that view. Even when the locket was not on.
I loved how you made me doubt Hermione for a moment. But then I realized that this would be Ron's perspective. He of course would think that Hermione would only care about Harry. It made you think about how hard it must be for her (as witnessed in DH when Ron leaves) to be in between the two of them.
Thanks for the great story. Keep writing!

Author's Response:

Hi, Aussiegirl,

I'm glad you liked it, and thank you for that description: 'intense'.  I really hoped I could convey that sense of Ron's nerves ratcheting higher and higher.

It really is all about perspective and the narrative voice, what we perceive as true in writing.  I'm glad you doubted Hermione.  Another reviewer did, as well, and I take it as the highest compliment.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! I'm really glad you enjoyed my story.
