~The story is now Complete!~
Thanks for reading!
a very deep story, but i liked it! it kept you hungering for more, and gave new depth for both characters.
Summary: A powerful spell is cast on a wizard who must take a chance at love if he wants to survive. How will he overcome his hatred of the world and everyone in it? How will love enter his stone cold heart? Presenting an appropriation of Beauty and the Beast.
one of my favorite fairy tales, and i loved how you recreated it with Hermione and Draco, a real good twist!
Author's Response: Thanks!
Summary: In the years following Voldemort's victory in the second war, Muggle-borns must become slaves and servants to pure-bloods in order to survive. Over time, Hermione Granger has learned to suppress her pride and independence in households where she is considered lower than dirt. She thought she would be prepared for this new family, just like she was for all the previous ones. What she didn't know was that this new family was none other than Draco Malfoy's. Will she manage hold up when she finds herself struggling to withhold her sharp tongue, returning hatred, and...something else?
The last chapter of this story has been posted! Thanks for reading :)

i thought it was the crucio curse and not the imperio curse the gang used?
Summary: For the rest of the Ministry, the interdepartmental challenge was merely a failed attempt to restore trust between workers. But for Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger, it was the catalyst for an unexpected relationship built on passionate letters, concealed identities, and secret meetings – and the beginning of an end that neither of them could ever have imagined possible, not even in their wildest dreams.
Post-war. Based somewhat on the story of the Phantom of the Opera. Also contains R/Hr, so don't read if you can't stomach that ship.
Status: Complete. Thanks for reading, everyone!
wow. what a story. i'm still in shock; you made me cry and i was up too late trying to finish this story. absolutely fabulous. one of my favorites.
Summary: When Ginny Weasley becomes Draco Malfoy's wife, he suspects neither her true identity nor her dangerous motives. But when all Hell breaks lose and their relationship takes unexpected turns, there is more at stake than preserving their marriage--namely, preserving their lives.
well, there was a lot going on in this, but i liked it. too much sadness for my taste but then again it kept me reading more.
do not read this when you have a cold... my nose is dripping through all this sadness.
but it was good.
Summary: The summer after fifth year, Severus Snape realises that he has to decide between Lily and his Dark companions and pursuits. Now all he has to do is get used to life at Hogwarts with no friends, get over his fascination with the Dark Arts, survive the Marauders, and convince Lily to acknowledge that he's alive.
Easier said than done.
what a GREAT story! had my eyes glued to it all to the very end. very compelling; had a definite air of some slight Rowling quality to it; i could see your characters reflect hers.
Author's Response: I'm trying to get my characters to reflect hers, so thank you! :) Sometimes I read fanfiction that seems more like a different series entirely, or something out of a romance novel or someone's dark imagination. I was trying to keep the tone of her books-- just a bit more Snape-ish, I guess. :)
Summary: After having suffered years of torment from working in one of the lowest possible positions in the Ministry of Magic, Hermione’s dreams were finally coming true. She had been assigned to train side-by-side with one of the leading heads in the Ministry. Nothing could have burst her bubble of happiness, well, at least until she discovered the name of her new “boss”.
this is a definite GOOD one!!! has a great twist on Hermione and Draco.
Summary: In the aftermath of the Hogwarts’ battle, Draco Malfoy is interned at Godric’s Hollow under the vigilant eye of Ginny Weasley. While Harry and the Order convene to decide on Draco’s fate, an unlikely bond is formed between captor and captive.
i thought you talked about him coming of age in an earlier chapter? which would have been seventeen in the wizarding world, right?
Author's Response: Yes, seventeen is of age in the wizarding world, but he committed his crimes before he was seventeen. Plus, I decided to have the Ministry in a slight upheaval, not knowing how to proceed.
Here's the discussion in chapter two:
“He is being interned at Godric’s Hollow,” he explained, with a wave of his hand. “He could not be housed with the other Death Eaters here at the Ministry because he was under-age until just a few days ago.”
“But seventeen is of age in the wizarding world,” Ginevra countered.
Harry grimaced. “Yes, but with the Ministry being in such shambles as it is right now, we’re still debating on whether or not to use Muggle-standards for criminal cases,” he explained, sighing, and sat back in his seat, bringing a hand to the arm of his chair. “Kingsley and the others are still convening on whether or not he will stand trial as an adult wizard as his crimes were committed before he turned seventeen.”
some of your chapter end notes are good to explain some things, but i don't think they're all necessary. almost lessens the excitement for the next chapter.
Author's Response: It's not mandatory to read them.
okay, this was a good story. definitely. but you put too many chapter end notes. i don't want to have the story be explained, i want to find out myself. you make it sound all middle school when you talk about oh no, no discussing draco naked.
other then that, at the end of every chapter, it was a GOOD story.
Author's Response: Thanks, I guess. I don't recall discussing naked Draco at the end of every chapter, but...okay. Incidentally, author notes are not part of the story or something that you're held down and forced to read. They have nothing to do with the plot. I'd rather have my story critcised than my author notes.
