Through the Fire by Croyez
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 250]
Summary: It all starts out with a meeting. Little do Harry and Hermione know what problems and dilemmas will surface along with their secret relationship. Hearts are shattered, prophecies are spoken, disappearances occur, dark plans are schemed, and discoveries beyond their understanding are made. Can their relationship withstand the perils it is subject to? Will their fate and worries stand in the way of true love? They can only hope not…
I have read several of these stories, you are keeping it real. People actually go through these phases in a relationship. Fantisies are nice, but sometimes a dose of reality is better.
Nice touch, especially the letter to Mum.

The Unseemly Proposal by sparx
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 5418]
Summary:
The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. Read to find out how this one unseemly proposal causes absolute chaos in their lives! THIS STORY IS NOT HBP and DH COMPATIBLE! Hey all! Check out my personal info for the expected date of the next update. =)
the most telling chapter indicating a change of atitudes.
I think that Draco will break down as well, then tell Mione about the conversation with Pansy.
Waking Up Harry by KirstiR

Summary: Hermione Granger has been in love with Harry Potter since the middle of fifth year—she thinks the feeling is mutual and she’s tired of waiting. Now Hermione is a very smart witch; when she sets out to achieve a goal, the realization of said goal is generally in the bag. A tale about what happens when Hermione gets fed up and Harry gets woken up.
Sounds like tyrical teenagers.
It is sometimes difficult to capture the thoughts of young love, but I believe that you have come very close. I'm glad that this was not any shorter than it was.

Summary: PLEASE READ AND REVIEW! Remeber the spell Dolohov put on Hermione in the Department of Mysteries. Well, see how it effects Harry. Will love conquer evil? Read or I'll tell Voldy!
You are moving your story too fast. Harry finds Hermione that morning and already Malfoy and Grant have her off school grounds. How? How did they do it without being seen?

Summary: My take on sixth year. More drama than anything else, and glacially slow - so if you're after lots of adventure and sappiness your best bet is to go elsewhere. Hopefully there's a shred of originality in here somewhere.
Even though I have found this much more discriptive than other accounts, I have to admit the plot is quite pleasant.
Starting to get real interesting. It's nice to see Nevil aas someone Harry can turn to when there are things he can't talk to Ron about.
Quite a change from HPB. When you going to finish?

Summary: There was once a goofy movie called Clue with a plot that was based on a board game. This movie had several possible endings that were all implausible but they were fun and entertaining. This little yarn is an alternative ending of the Harry Potter series and is offered in the same spirit of fun and entertainment.
Of course with themes like love and death it’s not all laughs.
This story begins in the summer before Harry’s sixth year. I began writing it months before reading HBP so you’ll have to accept that just about everything in my version of the HP universe is different from JKR’s HP universe. (Pretend HBP didn’t happen.)
In my story Hermione has loved Harry since her third year at Hogwarts. She is terrified by the war. If she doesn’t grow up quickly, she might not grow up at all. Since Harry is over his infatuation with Cho Chang, Hermione makes her move and she pulls out all of the stops. Expect some extreme behavior from a girl who throws herself at a project and is under a lot of stress. She still cares deeply about S.P.E.W.
OTHER POINTS
- Having never heard of a Horcrux, I devised another source of Voldemort’s immortality.
- I don’t like Professor Snape, but I’m not bold enough to make him a real Death Eater.
- There is a war on and characters are killed, wounded and tortured, but not Dumbledore.
- I’ve made Ron into a much more confident and serious character than the books.
This is based on three ideas: war is like chess and Ron excels at that, contact with the brain in the DoM could make Ron more thoughtful, and hanging around with a manly man who works with dragons like Charlie Weasley could help any boy grow up.
Intresting concept. Gives Harry a little more of a life.

Summary:
UPDATE: Guys, I'm back!
The innocence I’ve lost
The blood it's cost
Leaves unhealed scars within.
But I will not abate,
I will employ the hate
That has been planted deep inside.
I will not falter
Valor will not tire,
And I will survive
This trial by fire.
Many things are different now. Potions class is the least of the trio's worries. Battling dragons would be a welcome alternative to what it is they're attempting to battle now. The Order of the Phoenix is hallow without its leading member. And when someone close to Harry is stolen, Dumbledore's rhetoric of love, hope, and faith is challenged. Harry's strength and resolve are pushed to their limits. Loyalties are tested and new leaders emerge while Harry and Hermione struggle to balance new emotions and uncharted territory. Yet while this time after sixth year proves to be drastically unlike anything Harry's ever experienced, some truths remain, and some affections stand solid.
A novel-type story that explores the engimas of Snape, Horcruxes, war, and above all, the puzzle of love. HBP compliant. HHr.
How old are you to have such insight? I am constantly amazed at the way the people on this sight see into the human pyshic.
So typical of Harry, gaurding his heart and feelings from all.
To often Harry Potter fans forget Hermione is a girl, brilliant, but still a girl with all the emotional baggage as any one else. I praise your courage in portaying her as such.
Not exactly the way it played out in Deathly Hallows but close. Veery interesting.
I have always thouhg tHarry a little thick. Even in Rowlings books, I thiught he and Hermione should have wound up together.
