Summary: Love is a very bizarre form of emotion. People can die for it. People can kill for it…
Rose Weasley is in her fifth year at Hogwarts. Love is in the air, but so is exam fever; and Hogwarts is heavy with a weird combination of nervous cheesiness. But isn’t this the story every year? It’s normal. It’s right.
And then everything goes wrong.
A student— Rose’s classmate dies tragically and unexpectedly one day. The death sends shock waves through Rose and her friends, staggering them to a great extent. Furthermore, investigations conducted by Rose’s Uncle Harry reveal a startling piece of information, placing everybody in even more shock. The death is, in fact homicide— and homicide committed by a student. Soon enough, Relationships are strained, faiths are broken and hatred is intensified. That is when Rose realises that she is not prepared to face any of it; and all she craves is for things to be the way they were before the tragedy…
This is a story about how love can make people cross the limits they never knew... a story of how love combined with obsession, deceit and jealousy can be as destructive of hatred.
This is Ginny Weasley Potter of Hufflepuff writing for the 2011 Mysterious May Challenge in the Great Hall, Prompt #2— The Trained Professional. I have moved this story into the next-gen category, because I feel it fits in better there.
That's so sad! I was really hoping Abby wasn't the student who dies that's mentioned in the summary. Can't wait to see how Ian reacts to her death or how the whole school reacts actually. Update soon! :)
Author's Response: Abby's death... hmmm... I was sad to kill her off too but I had actually created her for killing her off. O.o Does that sound weird? And Ian? You'll be shocked. I finished writing most of the third chapter... should be up soon. *crosses fingers*.
Loved it so far! I think this is going to be an awesome fic. I love all the characters that we've gotten to meet too and I totally think Abby's preggers. Can't wait for the next chapter ;)
Author's Response: So you think Abby's pregnant? :D Well, we'll see, won't we? ;) Thank you for your review! It totally made my day. :)
Summary: Scorpius Malfoy and Rose Weasley absolutely despise each other. It seems as though the rivalry between the two families has passed down to the next generation, and it looked like that it wasn't going to stop anytime soon.
Into O.W.L. year our story starts, when suddenly both Rose and Scorpius notice there is something going on between them. Like a "spark" in their relationship. Including trying to figure out their feelings and a lot of dueling, fifth year is going to be one wild ride. For them at least.
Filled with plenty of action, romance, betrayl, and secrets, find out exactly how an entire relationship can change just because of a feeble spark.
Another great chapter! Can't wait for the next one ;)
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you like it! I was on vacation for a while, but the next chapter should be up soon! Thanks for reviewing! -panda_patronus
I really liked this! Your Scorpius is pretty fun to read, but I really don't think Draco could still hate the Weasleys and Potters. I always thought that DH had ended with him feeling grateful towards them or appreciating them maybe, but that's just my opinion. I can't wait for the rest of this fic, update soon! ;)
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you like it! I was contemplating about how Draco should feel as well, and I felt that he was grateful but still had this twinge of pride and jealousy, so I'm kinda trying to portray that. Thanks for your opinion!! -panda_patronus
Can't wait for an update;)
Summary: Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy attend the Wizarding University of Paris the year after they graduate from Hogwarts. This is a sequel to the Dragon Does the Tickling, where Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy complete their seventh year at Hogwarts after the war.
I read DDTT on LiveJournal months ago and I honestly don't remember much but I did remember Draco inviting Hermione on this trip surprisingly so this was a really nice read. Can't wait for the next chapter update soon ;)
Author's Response: I'm having a hard time posting anything to LIveJournal these days, so it's best to come here to MuggleNet. I'm glad you remembered bits of the last story and enjoyed the new story. I'm a huge fan of continuity, so hopefully other things will reconnect you to the last story. The next chapter is in the queue, so you shouldn't have to wait long. Thank you! Jenny.
Loved this chapter! Your Draco and Hermione are so made for each other. Please update soon! :)
Author's Response: I'm a little worried I'm not going to recognize Hermione and Draco in the final movie next week, as I've been immersed in writing them in a new way! Thank you for the review, Jenny
Congrats on finishing your story! Hopefully there is a third installment on the way, if so I cannot wait!:) I am totally in love with this story and can't wait to read where you take it next. Every update always managed to pull me in immediately and I always had to read a new chapter there and then. The story always had me embarrassingly hooked where I could never wait for the next chapter so I hope you don't take too long in continuing the story or the wait will surely kill me;)
Once again congrats on wrapping up a great fic that many people love and appreciate. I really hope you know people love your writing because it would suck if you didn't;D
Author's Response: Thank you so very much for your encouraging feedback! It is very nice to hear that people enjoy my stories. I have fun writing them, but receiving positive reviews just makes the process that much better. I'm plotting out the third story now and should start posting in August. Thank you, Jenny
Summary: Based on the combination of the Latin obliviscor, meaning "forget," and the Aramaic עַ‘ְ“ָא כְּ“ַ‘רָא, avda kedavra, meaning "what was said has been done," Oblivi Kedavra has the meaning “forget what has been done.”
After being struck by a home-made curse from Draco Malfoy, Hermione's mind is swept clean of any and all memories of Ron. Which is stronger? Love or revenge?
Whoa! This was really good. Draco honestly gave me chills. Can't wait for the next chapter! :D
Author's Response: I hope you come back and read the rest!
Summary: Four Valentine's Day balls. Four very different encounters.
Scorpius Malfoy and Rose Weasley could never exactly be accused of getting along, but four days over four years test the nature of their relationship. From hatred, to sympathy, to attraction, to perhaps something deeper, Scorpius and Rose find themselves in uncharted territory. Can they rise above their ingrained dislike for one another? Or will their prejudices keep them from realising the true reason they can so easily get under each other's skin?
This was such a joy to read! Your Rose and Scorpius are perfect and I really am looking forward to more fics about them from you:)
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! I'm currently writing another Next Generation romance/teen angst fic and Rose and Scorpius feature heavily in it so you can read that when it's up if you're interested :) Thank you so much for your kind review :)
Summary: Lily Luna Potter is the youngest of three and the only girl in the Potter family. She's previously got by with a smile, a positive attitude and a fiery personality. However, things change over the summer and she becomes a shell of the girl she once was. It's going to take a lot to put Lily together again, but with her own inner strength, and the love of her family, Lily sets out to reclaim not only her future, but to discover who she truly is.
Wow. I really enjoyed this chapter! I can't wait to read more, this seems like it has the potential of becoming a great story. I can't wait to find out what happened at the Quidditch match and see what has made Lily so depressed! This cliffhanger is going to kill me and we're only on the first chapter! Please update soon:)
Author's Response: I will try to. I am currently editing my second chapter, so hopefully it will be completed and up soon. Thank you so much! This is my first ever fic, so your enjoyment means a lot to me :)
Summary: After their harrowing escape from the Ministry, Ron and Hermione find themselves sharing some intimate moments in the tent while Harry keeps watch outside.
I loved that! It was so intense at some parts and sweet/fluffy in others. I hope you write more Ron and Hermione fics! Good job:)
Author's Response: Thank you!
Summary: Scorpius Malfoy and Roxanne Weasley share gumdrops over three Christmas encounters. Eight years later, Roxanne does not remember anything except the gumdrops.
This was probably the cutest Christmas story I've read on the site this year:) I really like how you paired Scorpius and Roxanne, I've never seen them as a couple in a fic before. I really enjoyed this story. Merry Christmas!;)
Author's Response: Thank you so much, and a belated Merry Christmas to you as well! Thank you so much for the compliment, I'm glad you enjoyed this story. I wanted to avoid a Scorpius/Rose pairing or Scorpius/Lily pairing and try something different for him, and since I've written them once before, they came back demanding the story, lol. I'm glad you liked them since I'm growing fond of them whilst still having my doubts. Thanks again for the review, I really appreciate it! ~Gina :)
Paths to Platform 9 and ¾ - Year 2017, and Beyond by ntoforhp
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 39]
Summary: Voldemort is dead. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny have survived. Now, the young warriors have a future. They have dreams, and dreams cost nothing; however reality has its price. The path each chooses has twists, potholes, and detours. They find that life plays tricks on people. These issues have to be confronted before they make it Platform 9 and ¾ in 2017 and beyond.
Oh no!!! Hermione didn't take the blue potion did she????? Can't wait until the next chapter!;)
Hey:) I wanna start by saying I get really excited when I see this story has been updated and I'm always craving the next chapter;) But in the past two chapters I feel like you have been creating totally new characters than the ones we all fell in love with while reading the actual HP series. For example I don't think Harry would ever come to America for his education or come to Disney World if it meant leaving all his loved ones behind for an entire year. Another example is Ginny's current situation 1st) I don't think she would ever EVER pose provocatively, even if her captain was telling her to do so, if she knew anyone could see that poster 2nd) I don't think she would ever EVER cheat on Harry 3rd) I don't think she was ever the get drunk and party hard kind of gal I mean her mom would KILL her. I think Hermione's situation is more reasonable because the best of people always have their faults, much less than other people, but they are still there. And I really REALLY cannot wait to read when she and Ron face each other again
I think you're going great with Ron and Hermione's characters but your Ginny and Harry have been a little crazy for me. Anyways sorry if I was ever harsh but as a teenage girl who LOVES HP I had to get this off my chest;) Can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Dear September December - Thanks for the review - As an old man, I too am crazy about the HP series, but I also realize that all of these character are in a period of their lives when things change. They have left the cloistered world of Hogwarts and entered a broader world. Harry, searching for his own identity; Ron proving he can thrive as an Auror; Hermione searching for who she really is: and Ginny thrown unprepared into the pro athlete world. Also, as combat veterans, they do have to deal with a lot of survivor guilt. The last thing I want to say is in most stories on MNFF, the guys cause the breakups, so this time its the girls turn. Thanks again, and please keep reading.
Loved it! Your Ron and Hermione are so sweet, and your Harry and Ginny are perfect. This was a total joy to read, and I can't wait until the next chapter. Good job and update soon!:)
Summary: Aged sixteen, their parents were being relentlessly pursued by Voldemort and attempting to deliver the Wizarding World from an evil tyrant. They fought against far older and more experienced wizards to bring about their victory and create a safer world for their children; to give them the normal childhoods they were deprived of.
Aged sixteen, their children are fighting, but against themselves. They battle against their own self-destructive nature and their foreign, inexplicable feelings. They wrestle with the pressures of friendships, family, relationships and work. They fight to keep secrets buried and to keep their friendships once the secrets are revealed.
Whoever said 'normal' was easy?
Love it!! Read all three chapters today and I'm totally hooked! I usually hate it when chapters are told by different POVs but in your chapters events that occur to one character come back up with another which is great. I was a bit confused though on who Albus was just with while he was supposed to be on prefect duty. Effie or Morgana? Anyways great work! Can't wait to read more:)
Summary: A story of how Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy evolved from being two people who never spoke to each other to being two people who broke all of their families expectations to be with each other.
Can't wait for the next chapter:)
Author's Response: I promise it will be up as soon as I find a spare minute to collect my thoughts and finish it!
Summary: The story of Ron and Hermione through a series of missing moments. Who said love was simple?
I love this:) Ever since I've finished the books the only thing I ever wanted was more Ron and Hermione and your take on them is so perfect. Great job can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing :) The world needs more R/Hr! The next update should be along shortly!
