Summary: They are all talented, some more than others. Some play Quidditch. Others are known for their brilliance in academics. They are the Marauders and a group that has lain in the shadows up to now, called the Lady Firebrands, known for their hot tempers and rather subdued practical jokes.
Romance will bloom.
Rivalries will blossom.
The author will try to stop using so many bad plant puns.
The story of Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs' NEWT years will be told.
These are the Amphibious Lizards.
I really like your take on the James-Lily relationship, it's realistic and un-exaggerated. The Snape-Lily dialogue was perfectly written.
Author's Response: Thanks very much, Heiress! I've worked hard to make the relationship natural.
Summary: It is June 1976 and The Marauders are at the top of their game. From the outside they look to have everything. But appearances, as the saying goes, can be deceptive.
James is discovering that not everything in life is his for the taking. Sirius knows he will have to defy his formidable family. Remus lives in constant fear of his life beyond Hogwarts. As for Peter... Well, Peter is struggling to live up to his friends.
The ties of friendship are strong, but war is raging and with a dark power rising those ties will inevitably fray.
Added to the mix is an adversary called Severus Snape, some lost House Points, a prank or two and a whole lot of Lily.
This is a Marauder tale.
This is a story of what made them special.
This is a story of why it started to go wrong for The Lions of Gryffindor.
OH MY GOOD GODRIC! Lions of Gryffindor won the 2009 QSQ for Best Marauders' Era Story. Amazed and incredibly grateful to those who nominated, judged and have beta'd this fic. THANK YOU.
Trick or Treat!
3. She clicks on her mouse and swipes her wand;
Some stories go up, and some stories are gone.
Stories of her own? Why, she has plenty!
Fewer than one-hundred, but far more than twenty.
I've been waiting for the update! Anyways, this chapter's great and I'm interested in how James-Sonia goes. I think Sonia's a great OC. :)
Author's Response: Thank you. Yeah, sorry for the delay. I got sidetracked by some other writing and also real life got in the way. Glad you like Sonia, I think James deserves a bit of fun. ~Carole~
Summary: Assigned to work on a project together, James Potter and Lily Evans find themselves getting to know one another through a silly game James has devised. A light, fluffy, slightly cliche one-shot. "Don’t look at me like that! I’m going to behave today." *one-shot*
I really enjoyed this! I really liked the writing style and I was hooked the entire time. Soem of the parts really had me laughing, especially the part when James starts singing to Lily in the library.
Author's Response: Thanks very much! This is one of the stories I'm prouder over, so I'm glad you liked it and that it got you laughing :)
Summary: Harper Riley is one of the most gifted young witches of her generation. However, since the traumatic events of the Battle of Hogwarts, she has not spoken a single word. Her Muggle parents were killed, along with her two wizarding brothers, and she is on the run from her squib guardian, a sinful and harsh man with a strong hatred of magic.
Harry Potter is recently married and settled, however, his life seems to take on another dramatic turn when he and Ginny find Harper. Her refusal to speak makes things a lot harder for them to discover how to help her. Luckily, Harry knows someone who owes him a favour. Someone who he and Ginny may not like, but they trust. Someone whose profession is to help those who suffer from the Battle of Hogwarts, no matter their story…
If anyone can get her talking again, it’s Blaise.
"I don't want to forget that night...but I don't want to remember it either."

This story has the characters: Blaise Zabini, Harper Riley, Jimmy Peakes, Harry Potter, Ginny Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Weasley, Isabella Zabini, Draco Malfoy, Dennis Creevey, Leonard Wilkes, Theodore Nott and Minerva McGonagall plus many more.
Amazing story; it had me intrigued from start to finish! The plot is excellent and you definitely carried it out effectively. I also loved how there were so many amazing moments in this story: the sweet ones, the sad ones, the funny ones, etc.
I actually read the first few chapters of Jemzi first and found out there was a prequel, so I came hear and read Finding Her Voice before continuing.
Anyways, I loved this. Blaise and Harper make such an awesome couple, so hopefully we can see a bit more of them in Jemzi?
Author's Response: Ah, yes, plenty more of them in Jemzi :D So glad you read and enjoyed this one; it means a lot
Summary: “Guilt brings people together. It’s a takes one to know one type thing.”
James Potter has always been a spoiled, arrogant, lazy show-off. When he enters his final year at Hogwarts School, he’s Head Boy . . . and he’s still a spoiled, arrogant, lazy, show-off. But because of that terrible summer, he’s also guilt-ridden.
Lily Evans has always been a self-righteous, impatient, temperamental know-it-all. When she begins her last year at Hogwarts, she’s Head Girl . . . and still a self-righteous, impatient, temperamental know-it-all. But the first night back — and the murder that takes the entire school by surprise — leave her guilt-ridden as well.
With the darkness that’s surrounding the Wizarding world slowly seeping, at long last, onto the grounds of Hogwarts and into the lives of James Potter and Lily Evans, what comes next?
I loved this chapter. Some interesting twists, and Lily's line at the end was great. "That must have been one hellish detention." Amazing cliffhanger.
Author's Response: Thanks! This chapter definitely had some twists. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Summary: Jemzi Zabini is the seventeen year old daughter of Blaise Zabini and his wife Harper, and is about to join her fellow witches and wizards at Hogwarts for their final school year. Jemzi is famous for being the once best friend of Albus Potter. However, a mysterious argument last year that only the two of them were witness to has ruined their friendship and they are now practically enemies. No one knows the reason for their fall out, only that it has caused a great divide in their friendship group.
Jemzi's best friend and Albus' cousin, Rose, suspects that their friendship expired because of strange and unwanted feelings between them. Feelings which, despite their fall out, have not gone away. Feelings that are similar to those she has for a certain Slytherin...
So can the next generation of Hogwarts students learn to forget past actions and forgive?

On a stormy October evening, a letter, a late night trip to the library and a secret conversation lead Lily Evans to discover that there are several mysteries in her life that only she has the capability and the inclination to solve. The first mystery is James Potter – what could turn him from the arrogant, could-care-less boy that she had previously known to someone withdrawn and far away? Then, perhaps more troubling, there is Esther Collins, the fifth year who has vanished without a trace. Furthermore, one of Lily’s best friends, Izza, is seeing a mystery boy and Lily is determined to know who.
Then there is the threat of war, backstabbing friends and NEWT’s. A disinherited and emotionally battered Sirius Black is the source of heartache for his friends, except perhaps Izza, who, with her own terrifying family, might just understand him. Lily’s closest male friend, Remus Lupin, is hiding a dangerous secret from her. Peter’s girlfriend is screwing him over, and the whole time Lily is struggling to stop the people she loves from coming apart at the seams.
Talk about a cliffhanger! Izza has a fascinating history. This chapter was amazing, please keep them coming!
Author's Response: Next chapter is in the que. Glad you liked it :D
Summary: If Remus hadn't been born, the lives of the people he had entered would be different, correct? He wouldn't have caused them pain, disappointment... and grief. Most of all, he wouldn't have been the cause of why his parents' happiness was suddenly gone.
Of course, it was all just wishful thinking. He was still a werewolf, no matter what he did.
This was really amazing. The way you portrayed the things Remus had to go through was really heart-breaking, especially in that scene with his mother. You did an amazing job with character consistancy and the storyline is great as well. I really can't believe this is your first fic!
Author's Response: I can almost cry from too much happiness. I'm ecstatic that you enjoyed the story! My goal was to try and let the reader feel his pain, and I'm glad you felt the moments. I really can't believe that you loved the characterisation, and the storyline most especially. It was a random idea, came to me late at night. Thank you so much, and I appreciate that you took the time to read, and review! Thank you :)
Summary: Winner of the 2011 QSQ Award for Best Dark/Angsty One-shot!
It is true what they say about your life flashing before your eyes just before you die. As Theodore Nott, Death Eater like his father before him, stands on the battlefield in what is surely Hogwarts and his final hours, he remembers all that lays behind him: his father, the Dark Lord, the one girl he ever loved, and the thing he has forced himself to forget.
But you remember, don't you, Theodore?
Please tell me you remember me.
That was really beautifully written. All characterization was amazing and there were so many excellent moments. The plot was very good; not to complicated, but moving nonetheless.
Author's Response: Thank you very much!
Summary: There are certain indispensable rules in the house of Black. You must stick with purebloods. You must disdain Muggles. You must keep up decorum at all times. You must show off your magic. You must appear to be a lady so a good pureblood boy will want to marry you.
Great story! I think the characterisation was all very well done. I especially liked how the ending reflected the beginning, just in a slightly different context.
Author's Response: Thank you!
Barty Crouch Jr. and Regulus Black; two boys with different expectations thrust upon them.
This is the story of how their paths cross, merge and then divide, leading towards two different endings; one tragic, one heroic.
"The Death Eaters, I want to join." I stared at him. His blue eyes were steady, his mouth set. He looked resolute. He had thought this over.
And then I got it. I finally got Sirius.
Nominated for Best Dark/Angsty Story in the 2011 Quicksilver Quills and for Best Marauder Era in 2012. Thank you so much!
I've never read anything from Barty Crouch Jr.'s POV before. I really like this so far, as it gives a more 3-dimensional portrait of him. The way he sees things is quite interesting to read.
Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing! Barty's always intrigued me, and I think the story of his family in canon is one of the most heart-breaking. Thanks again!
Summary: Ron decides to leave the Ministry, and the reasons catch Hermione by surprise.
That was adorable!
I usually don't pay too much attention to Hermione/Ron fics, but this brought their relationship past screaming at each other all day. I like how your story showed how they can tolerate each other's habits by now (after knowing each other for so long!).
The dialogue was absolutely hilarious and witty. I kind of love it. :)
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed this story and their dialogue. It was fun. Thanks for reading and leaving such a nice review, I really appreciate it! ~Gina :)
Summary: Cho Chang has just lost her very last Quidditch match at Hogwarts, to "that Ginny Weasley," no less. As she wanders about the school, lost in thought, she stumbles across Ginny, who is also in the company of the last person Cho would have expected. A black-haired, bespectacled person...
This story was very well-done! The characterisation is very believable and I lreally like how you didn't antagonise any of the characters. It was a very enjoyable and thought-provoking read.
Author's Response: Thank you! Your praise means a lot, because it has always been my goal to capture JKR's characters in my own story. Thank you for the review!
