Jemzi by Belledeg

Rated: 6th-7th Years • 260 Reviews
Summary: Jemzi Zabini is the seventeen year old daughter of Blaise Zabini and his wife Harper, and is about to join her fellow witches and wizards at Hogwarts for their final school year. Jemzi is famous for being the once best friend of Albus Potter. However, a mysterious argument last year that only the two of them were witness to has ruined their friendship and they are now practically enemies. No one knows the reason for their fall out, only that it has caused a great divide in their friendship group.

Jemzi's best friend and Albus' cousin, Rose, suspects that their friendship expired because of strange and unwanted feelings between them. Feelings which, despite their fall out, have not gone away. Feelings that are similar to those she has for a certain Slytherin...

So can the next generation of Hogwarts students learn to forget past actions and forgive?

Nominated for "Best Next Generation Story" and "Best Other Character" in the 2010 Quicksilver Quill Awards

This story features Harry Potter, Ginny Potter, Lily Potter, Luka Krum, Blaise Zabini, Harper Zabini, Zacharias Smith, Leon Holmwood, Tristan Wells, Rose Weasley, Scorpius Malfoy, Jemzi and Albus plus many more.

Im so happy for Leon/Tristan! I know there going to end up together, but I really cant wait to see what happens! YES! Luka and Lily! Im eager to see how that goes...and what their parents think of it...

That was such a good ending!!! I cliche-ly breathed a sigh of relief afterwards. Okay, but now that this story is over you HAVE to finish the others!!!

It's nice to see something good happen to Draco, poor guy. People really dont understand what he went through. Interesting ending i must say...

Author's Response: Yep, plenty more to come. And I really quite liked writing Scorpius' parents, more than I thought I would

Nick is a lovely character! Poor Tristan and confused Leon. Im glad she finally yelled at them for their prejudice, they deserved it. You would think Albus of all people would understand that Scorpius isnt just a "Malfoy"

Author's Response: I do want to deal with prejudice in this story, so there will be plenty more. I love Nick myself, glad Leon and Tristan have your support! :D Thanks for a lovely review :)

I was so in love wth this story until Albus and Jemzi make the choise to not save themselves until marriage!I might be old school but it kind of ruined their adorable relationship! I loved the Jemzi/Gigi scene though! Im glad she got passed her jealousy! PLEASE hurry up and write the rest, I dont know how much longer i can stand to wait! Oh, and if you added a little more Scorpius/Rose that would be fantastic!

Author's Response: Plenty more of them to come, next few chapters are in editing process

Little Lions by SexY_LydZ

Rated: 6th-7th Years • 74 Reviews

To some, the slow burn of a mystery - like the slow burn of an unexpected love, or an unsigned letter or political tensions - is a temptation that’s simply too irresistible to deny.

Lily feels the burn of a seventh year full of mysteries, and the need to know is too immense - she’s willing to go down in flames to know the truth.

(Chapters 1-21 now rewritten)

Summary: We all know the real of what happened to our poor friend Harry Potter- The evil Lord Voldemort killed his young parents and forced him to spend several miserable years with his Muggle family, the Dursleys. But what if Lord Voldemort had never exsisted? What if Lily and James hadn't perished, but lived to see their only son grow up to be the man he is today? Whould Harry still be friends with Ron and Hermione? Whould Draco Malfoy still be an annoying Slytherin git?... Don't answer that. This, my friends, is the story of what should have, could have, and would have happened to the messy-haired hero we've all come to love- Harry Potter.

The Happy Couple by Equinox Chick

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 19 Reviews
Summary: Romilda Vane is a young reporter for The Daily Prophet. Currently writing a popular column for the Social pages, she is outraged when the highlight of the social calender - the wedding of Harry James Potter to Ginevra Molly Weasley - is given to Lavender Brown to write.

Lavender isn't happy either, for their boss (He-Who-Pays-Our-Wages) has threatened to assign her to the Cookery section unless she dishes the dirt on her friends. She readily agrees to Romilda taking on the assignment for what could the Saviour of the Wizarding World possibly have to hide?

This is Equinox Chick of Hufflepuff and this is my entry for The Weddings Challenge in The Great Hall. I chose prompt 3 - The Daily Prophet Report.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling, but I think you all know that.

Thank you very much to Samarie (Hopeful_Song) for beta'ing this story for me, and giving me some excellent advice.

The Sexual Sitiuations are really very mild, and merely implied.

I dont get it...wow i feel stupid...please do explain

Author's Response: Um, okay. Well, it's ambiguous, so I left it up to the reader to decide what had happened with Dean and Ginny. I know something happened, and Dean is struggling to let go, but was Ginny seeing Harry at the time? That's up to the reader. Harry knows the truth, but wants more than anything to have a settled life, so doesn't want the Prophet exposing anything. He's happy and Ginny's happy. He enlists Lavender's help. If it's Blaise's appearance confusing you, that's me taking a liberty because Lavender and Blaise are a couple in another fic of mine. Ginny and Harry are very much in love, but that doesn't stop you making the odd mistake ... ~Carole~

To Separate Light From Darkness by Simply Being

Summary: Sidelined by her pregnancy, Lily takes a new job at the Department of Mysteries on Dumbledore's recommendation. Here, she will be confronted with a shocking question: Can God and magic co-exist?

Interesting. I myself am at a cross roads between belief and thinking its all bull. Growing up in a Presbyterian Church my father answered "If humans have dreamed them up, God has something ten times better" to my question of "do Fairies exist." They have magic, so what possible use is their for a god? Is faith enough for us to rely on? So confused! But you put up a good argument both ways.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm not religious, but I still find religious arguments fascinating. I'm glad that I made convincing arguments on both sides, too. I want to create a story, not a rant. Thanks again!

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

A war is brewing in the Wizarding world. Hogwarts is not the safe haven it used to be. Students are beginning to consider the unthinkable, desperate to save those they love. The corridors are filled with eager spies who are too young to realise the severity of their decisions.

In the midst of it all, the Marauders are closing in on their last year of schooling. James is learning that letting go is sometimes the only way to move forward. Lily discovers that what she was looking for all along is right in front of her, while Sirius and Remus struggle to keep the group together, each in their own way. And Peter begins to realise that he can be more than a tiny piece of a large puzzle, perhaps the most dangerous epiphany of all.

Sides must be taken, a war must be fought, and prices must be paid—some higher than others. Choices are made that will undoubtedly change the course of the future. And from this darkness, the phoenix must rise.

Good! I liked that bit with the trolley lady, that was funny. You used nostalgic twice and it kind of sounded repeatative. Maybe substitute in a different word?

Author's Response: Thank you for reading and reviewing :). Repetition is something I need to work on, definitely. It occurs continuously throughout my RL writing as well as my fan fiction. Thank you for pointing that out!

In the Ashes by ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor

Rated: 6th-7th Years • 96 Reviews Past Featured Story

In her seventh year, Katie Bell knew what it was like to fear death. A year later, she learnt what it was like to see it in front of her. Nothing she had ever experienced had prepared her to deal with the aftermath of that. And then he came.

Caught in a whirlwind of Quidditch, heartbreak, and a rivalry, Katie struggled with her jumbled mess of feelings, one of which she hadn't expected but was growing certain that she could never live without.

Oh my freaking Salazar! This story WON TWO 2011 Quicksilver Quill Awards: Best Post-Hogwarts Story and Best Non-Canon Romance Story. *flail*

Lovely! I can't see another relationship more destined than this! Great writing also, and your facts are all in line. I simply can't find anything wrong with it!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you believe in Katie/Oliver. It's just one of those ships that, to me, I can't believe it's not actually canon. My favourite thing in fan fiction is to take the facts and make them into a larger world. We know basic things about what happened after the battle from JKR, but I want to build my own universe within that. It's nice to know that you find mine to be believable and enjoyable.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. Have a nice night!

This makes me sad...I wish they would just get married already! Good writing as usual, I guess it is just hard to follow Katie and her loving Oliver, then leaving him. Maybe that's just me though... When do you think you will wrap it up? Not that I want it to be finished, just so I have a sense of what to expect.

Author's Response:

Honestly, I don't know when the story will be finished. It could be a few more chapters, or it could be ten to twenty. I'm letting the story take me wherever it likes. I'm not being consulted in the matter, hehe.

I'm confident in saying that their parting of ways won't last, but Katie needed a wakeup call, to understand that she was simultaneously using Oliver and resenting him for it. As it was, their relationship wasn't healthy, and they jumped into things far too soon, and it took a proverbial bucket of cold water in the face for her to realise it. Leanne was probably the best thing that could've happened to them as a couple.

Thank you for reading and reviewing. :)

A Touch Too Much by MerrryD

Hate. Anger. Happiness. Rage. Love. Contentment. Understanding. Emptiness. Loneliness. Jealousy. Despair. Numb. Cheerful.

Every day Lily Evans felt everything. She was on an emotional roller coaster full of heart-plummeting drops, stomach-losing loops, and nerve-racking climbs. How she managed to keep herself together she never quite understood.

One day, it all becomes too much and everything comes undone.
