Summary: Rose Weasley didn't mean to be different. She didn't intend to stand out in her family. She didn't expect to be Sorted... into Slytherin.
Excited to see an update from this fic. I like how Rose has Slytherin qualities that she didn't even know she had and the other Slytherins are pointing it out to her. I hope to see more interaction between Rose and Scorpius as they are the "leaders" of the 1st year Slytherins. Christmas with the Weasleys and Potters should also be interesting...update soon!
I love hpw you picked up where the Epilogue left off. It was funny how Albus was the one nervous about being a Slytherin, but it actually turns out to be Rose. Now her and Scorpius can be in the same house awwww. Can't wait to read more : )
I absolutely love the detail you put into you're writing. I enjoyed the girls discussing their parents and family house histories. It is sweet to know that Ron and Hermione are still madly in love after 2 kids : ) I will definitely be back to read more soon...
I enjoyed how Rose pointed out that Albus didn't realize why everyone was staring at his father at the train station. It's refreshing to see you kept the details layed out by JK Rowling but you have now put your own unique twist to the next generation. I also enjoyed the letter from Hermione and Ron's temper. It suited their personalities perfectly. I hope that everyone is nice to Rose at this dinner party and I hope she befriends Scorpius soon. Can't wait for more, please update soon!!!
Summary: Office work is, in the main, boring and monotonous. But sometimes something unexpected happens.
YEAH!!! More R & H
Author's Response: I have another R/H story to submit when it’s been betaed. In it Ron will ask Hermione - The Question. -N-
Summary: Hermione has lived thirty-six years on this earth. The last twenty or so of them have been blissful and perfect, married to her best friend and lover. They have two beautiful children at Hogwarts. Ron's an Auror, and Hermione works in the new office at the Ministry, for the Mandatory Respect of Elf Rights Department. Then, one afternoon in February, she's called to St. Mungo's, where everything is ruined, and she's forced to remember the easier past.
You are right...this was a short chapter! It was a very sweet ending but I feel it was too simple for the complex problems you brewed throughout the story. Overall I enjoyed this fic and I am glad I followed it through to the end. Great job!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad too! - Joy
One of my favorite chapters so far with amazing POVs from the Weasleys...Ron, Hermione & Rose : ) Can't get enough of Scorpius' devotion for Rose and the love between Ron and Hermione. I loved Hermione's inner dialogue after she met her daughter's boyfriend. More, more, more...pretty please!!!
Author's Response: I'm really glad that you're enjoying the POVs. I enjoy writing the contrast between young love and lifelong romance, so thanks for the compliment! I also figured that even the situation couldn't prevent Hermione from having a typical mother moment over her daughter's relationship. I will satisfy your cravings for more of My Brave Face, trust me!
Yes the survey is a little morbid lol but I'll answer anyway. I hope Goyle dies of course, but not until they know where Hermione is! And I want Rose and Scorpious to stay alive, their romance is so sweet! I love how Rose wants to have an adventure like her parents did, very interesting quote! Lily's jealousy is hard to understand...I guess she must be used to getting all of the attention as Harry Potter's daughter. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Thanks for doing the survey!! Goyle . . . Good answer? Yah, the whole Scorose isn't very origninsl but I'm trying to make it as mine as possible. And if your parents had a grand adventure every year of school, wouldn't you be a tad jealous? And I REALLY REALLY don't like Lily as a character but her attitude towards life is fun to add to the plot. I will be on vacation for the 4th of July so the next chapter may be a little while, but keep your eye out for it!! -Joy
Go Hermione, go! I know she can do it : ) I can't believe this story is almost over. I absolutely love reading Scorpius' POV and seeing how much he loves Rose. I am not going to take any quesses because I have no idea what is going to happen next. Can't wait to see in the next chapter!
Author's Response: Of course she can!! I can't believe it either!! I love writing Scorpius' POV!! Wise individual :) -JOY
So excited to see an update!!! There were a few things I wasn't quite sure about. I don't think Hermione would want Harry to feel guilty about their situation or hope that he could fix everything for them, its not in her nature. What did you mean by Rose's betrayal?? By leaving Hogwarts? I liked the part about Scorpius going with Rose so he could prove himself to Ron. Hope Draco makes an appearance, that would be interesting! Good luck with your writer's block!
Author's Response: Your criticism is helpful!! And you're right, but do keep in mind that Hermione has been through a lot of emotional stress at this point. She won't be the same person she's been in the past. She and Harry have been relying a lot on each other through Ron's death. And Rose is considered to have betrayed her cousin Lily by going out with Scorpius, as Lily liked him, and also she has betrayed her father, by going out with a Malfoy. It would be awesome to bring in Draco, you're right, but at the moment I don't see how it would fit in with the storyline. I'll keep all your comments in mind, and thanks, I need all the luck I can get! -Joy
Definitely more than just a filler...it's a cliff hanger! Excited to hear information from the "next generation" but im going to miss reading from Ron and Hermione's POV...hope you still include that from time to time! Can't wait for the next chapter! Loved the part about the soulmates...just how I imagine R/H!
Author's Response: There will be POV's from everyone . . . this story has far to go yet! Ron's fake death was a catalyst for what will happen to everyone now . . . and yes, I couldn't help but throw in next generation. The soulmates part I got off of Bones, an awesome tv show. :D
I wish that last part was from Ron or Hermione's POV...what happened during the scuffle?? I am glad that everyone seems to be safe at last...can't wait for more, even if it is almost over!
Author's Response: The next chapter MAY or MAY not contain that last part from someone else' POV that MAY or MAY NOT be Ron or Hermione. :) Seems is a bad choice of words, they ARE safe at last.
AMAZING!!!! I love the perfect amount of detail, not too much to make it drag on and not too little to make it too simplistic, just enough to make it feel real. I enjoyed that it was from Hermione's POV, her pain was so raw. Pleasantly surprised by this most recent chapter, can't wait for more!!! BTW, what did you mean by "American bells" in the previous chapter? I didn't get that descrption.
Author's Response: I don't get that either :) I pride myself on detail skills - ur commentary is much appreciated!
Yeah! So excited for a new chapter and Ginny'd POV was interesting! The last sentence is bothering me though...why did Scorpius say "Draco" instead if "My father"?? If you're worried readers wouldn't know who you're referring to I don't think you would have a problem. Praying that Ron gets better and finds his lovely Hermione : ) Can't wait for more!!! PS- Love to see Scorpius' devotion to Rose!
Summary: Ron is on his way to ask Hermione a question. He thinks that Hermione knows everything, but will she be able to answer this question?
Absolutely adorable! I love how Ron allows the situation to inspire him in the spir of the moment, how romantic! R/H cuest couple ever! Thanks for sharing!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I was aiming for something romantic, in a very Ron way. :-D -N-
Read this again after reading The Question (Again) and it is even better than I remember. So sweet!
Author's Response: Thanks -N-
Summary: Ron and Hermione make New Year's Resolutions. This was originally written for a drabble challenge of the same name, where resolutions must be made and... well, I'll let you see for yourself. A fluffy little one-shot.
Thanks to Natalie for her mad, QSQ-winning beta skills
Another brilliant story, as always : ) I love reading about Ron and Hermione because they remind me of my relationship with my husband, and you write their characters so well! Keep them coming, thanks for sharing!
Author's Response: Haha... they you and your husband must be both funny and adorable. Hehe. Thanks for always coming back to my stories, and for taking the time to review. I appreciate it!
It was the worst news a father could receive: his son was marrying his worst enemy's daughter.
But for Draco Malfoy, being in the role of the reasonable parent was in itself a debacle as he tried to make the best of a bad situation. But when circumstances forced him to spend more time than he ever cared to with the most irritating Mudblood on the planet, he constantly questioned his sanity, as well as that of his son.
However, Draco might have come to realise that things change, as well as people. Is Hermione Granger Weasley the mad bint he remembered, or were they both a little different this time around?
This story has been nominated for a 2011 Quicksilver Quill Award: Best Non-Canon Romance.
I normally don't read Hermione/Drace fics and at first glance I thought this was a Lily/Scorpius fic...but I am glad I decided to read it! Very interesting plot...and what a cliff hanger-wow! Post more asap!
If it makes you feel any better, I'm not a Dramione fan, either. In fact, of most of the popular non-canon ships, it's in my top three least favourites. However, I conquered my prejudice to write a gift for a friend. Though she is no longer with the site, I will still see this through. Thanks for checking it out, even if it wasn't your thing. :)
Summary: It was only three words. Three tiny words. It should have been the easiest thing in the world. Yet, it wasn’t. It was the hardest thing he had ever done in his life.
Adorable story! I think one of the most endearing aspects of Ron and Hermione's relationship is the fact that they so obviously love eachother but they try so hard to hide it. You portrayed that very well in this story-thanks for sharing!
Author's Response: Thank you, dear! I'm glad that I managed to portray that aspect of their relationship, because it is one thing about the ship I like. Thank you for the review!
Summary: Though the trials of war are behind them, life will always include difficulties that must be faced.I am thrilled beyond reason to announce that this fic won the 2011 Quicksilver Quill in the category Best Canon Romance, one-shot. Thank you so much! :)
I always look forward to your stories! Poor Ron...just another reason to believe Harry gets everything. I agree with you, I could definitely see this happening in that supposed eight year gap. Thanks, as always, for sharing : )
Author's Response: Oh, I didn't even think of the Harry factor for Ron... I was more just thinking how awful it would be to watch someone close to you going through something you want so desperately for yourself. But yeah, more angst for Ron. ;) Glad you liked it. Thanks for the review.
