Summary: After the disastrous events of the end of the Marauder's fifth year, a fuming Lily Evans decides that that arrogant James Potter and his friends need a taste of their own medicine. The straight-laced Prefect suddenly finds herself pranking her class's trickiest boys--and maybe even enjoying it. Coupled with a series of mysterious apology letters that Lily has begun receiving, it's bound to be an interesting year.
Winner of the 2010 QSQ for Best Canon Romance!
I really liked this whole story. I can tell that it was planned out the way Lily's patronus wasn't shown as a doe until after they were together. And I like the way you wrote Peter. I think in a lot of fics people don't really act as if he is one of the marauders because they don't like him, but he was included with them and was a good friend to them for a while. They treat him equally.
James Potter has changed: no longer an arrogant, irresponsible prankster, he has matured into a responsible Head Boy with tops marks in Transfiguration. Lily Evans has changed as well: normally studious and in control, she has lost focus as she struggles with Head Girl responsibilities and N.E.W.T level studies. An unexpected encounter in the corridors one weekend leads to several startling realizations, the least of which is that things have definitely changed between James Potter and Lily Evans.
This story was nominated for a 2010 QSQ and is now complete.
When I read the first chapter I didn't think I would like this story but it was really good. Now I gotta read more of your stories.
