Summary: It's Albus Potter's first year at Hogwarts. He makes friends, pulls pranks, and discovers the truth behind his father's horrible past.
But Albus Potter's first year of school is not to be completely peaceful. No, he, like his father, must rise to conquer a new enemy amongst his peers, and keep the peace in the wizarding world that his father worked so hard to bring.
That was really good! Keep up the great work!
Summary: I hadn't seen him since I was eleven, but he had a rather distinct look about him. It was hard, after all, to forget that black hair that stuck up in the back and the bright green eyes behind those glasses. And the scar — I had always thought it neat to have a scar shaped like a lightening bolt.
Jane Martin sees the odd, quiet boy she went to primary school with years ago in a jewellery shop and she's shocked to see how much things have changed for the boy with taped glasses and baggy clothes. *one-shot*
Awwwww..............thats sooooo sweeet! Good work with the story
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
"James Sirius Potter, it is the judgment of the Wizengamot that you have been found guilty. You knowingly, in possession of sound mind and body, used the Cruciatus Curse and the Killing Curse in the intentional torture and murder of one Gregory Goyle the Third."
James Potter was going to Azkaban for the rest of his natural life, and his whole family was in shambles. His wife and child have fled the country, his sister was missing, and his parents were a wreck. However, James knew that he had larger problems: his guilt was coming more and more in question.
Though he knew that James was withholding information about the circumstances of the murder of which he had been found guilty, Harry had secrets of his own; however, even he could not handle this torrent of trouble alone. Can Harry trust his darkest confidences to anyone? Even family?
How will the Potter clan stop the downward spiral into pain and disaster, and can they recover what they've lost?
This fic was nominated for a 2010 Quicksilver Quill Award - Best Next-Generation Story.
awwwwww.......keep up the good work!!! Great Chapter!
Thank you so much. I do apologize that the updates are coming slower, but you are getting them as fast as I can write them and Hannah can post them up, so I am doing my best. Hang in there, the next chapter should be up in a few days. Take care!
Awwww........Albus has a crush!!!!!! Poor Lily and Eric......Anyways, keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, my rendition of Albus is a guy who doesn't have time for time wasting activities, which includes chasing girls. Appropriately enough, Anne knows enough about her own wants and needs to dispense of the same frivolities and just get down to business. She wants him, he wants her, and it works for them. Who are we to judge. :D
Anyway, thanks for reading, and be on the lookout for more chapters. The mod who passes my story through really wants to know what happens next, lol.
AWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was sooooo sweet! Again, good work.
Thank you for reviewing, as always!
I couldn't very well let Scorpius behave like an ass to his sister, because he's better than that (at least in my universe). The next chapter will cover the last half of the funeral, so stay tuned. I'm almost done writing it, so it should be up in under a week. Thank you so much for sticking with my story from beginning to almost end (yes, the story is almost complete); support from my readers is what compels me to spend that extra hour or so every day to make sure I get my work done just that much quicker.
wow....I never expected the Draco/Katie angle. Yay!! James is outa prison. Keep up the good work!!!!
Well, I'm glad I threw you for a loop, lol. Draco and Katie have been in my head for a while, so I guess it wasn't so much of a surprise for me as it was for you. :D
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned!
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Freakin Goyle....Great chapters....gahhhhhhhh.....the suspence is killing me!!!!!!!
Bwahahahahaha, I'm a sadist, aren't I? Bet you didn't see that coming, did ya? Thanks for reading, the next chapter's in the queue.
Take care and see you again in a few days,
I love the ending!!!! Good work and I look forward to reading some of your other fics soon! :)
I'm glad that the ending was to your liking. I found it increasingly difficult, the further I got into this fic, to correctly orient the events so that they didn't get weird or unbelievable. I did catch a little bit of crap for what I did with Harry/Ginny, but that was something that I had planned from the very start of this piece.
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing regularly throughout this journey that was my first fic on MNFF. It has been a blast, and while the epilogue is not yet complete, I feel like I've accomplished something that not many people can do in writing a novel. I'm glad I could share this experience with you, and I hope you enjoyed it half as much as I did. If you have any questions, or maybe you just want to know about other events in the timeline, feel free to leave an extra review, PM me on the Beta Forums, or send me an e-mail at email@example.com. I love hearing from readers.
yikes.......great story keep up the good work!!!!!
Author's Response: Thank you very much. :D There's still a lot to come, so stay tuned!
Great Chapters!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Author's Response: Thank you ever so much! Next chapter's in the queue, and it should come out in the next few days. Happy reading. :D
It truly does suck that so many people had to be hurt by all of this nasty business, but when someone (namely Harry) decides to take matters into his own hands, especially something as huge as the whole Lily situation, people are going to lose out. It's hard for me sometimes, as a writer, to create stories like this, because it's difficult to take characters that I know and like and put them through the wringer. In the end, though, adversity makes us better people. Hopefully, Harry can learn a lesson from all of this.
Thanks for reviewing. :)
Awwww.....that was sad.
Only Harry Potter would get drunk and then decide to set his house on fire. lol
Keep up the good work, I cant wait to see what you come up with next!!
Haha, well, had he been sober, he probably would have retrieved a few things, like pictures and maybe even a change of clothes. o.O
I'm glad you liked it. I waffled heavily over how I was going to kill Katie (yes, that was what kept me away for this long). Finally, someone said something about allergies, and in conjunction with an episode of House that I had just watched...yeah. Not very inspiring, I suppose.
Take care and happy reading!
Summary: It's been twenty years since Harry left Privet Drive. He's back to deliver the news that Dudley's son is a wizard.
Meet Christopher and Lydia, Dudley's son and wife, and find out how Harry breaks the news to them.
The A/U warning is because some people will think it's A/U, but I happen to think it's the way it would happen.
awwww,,,,it was nice seeing Dudly be able to embrace wizardkind. lol
When left to their own devices, teenagers manufacture all sorts of ways of getting in trouble. In this case, the trouble is of a completely different breed—mischief under the influence.
Unbeknownst to the flock of Weasley/Potter adolescents, though, the cider from the press at the Burrow is not quite as fresh as they think. While most of them realize that the beverage was suspect, a certain cousin does not, leading to antics, shenanigans, and embarrassments, all on a whole new level.
Poor Albus. It's more fun to watch people get drunk and act stupid then it is to actually do it yourself.
Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much for reading!
This was written for a challenge, and I had to insert the oddest and most random events into it, and it was, in Captain Obvious terms, a challenge. However, I really do like how it came out. As you know, torturing Albus is one of my favorite pasttimes. :D
Thanks for reviewing, and happy reading!
P.S. - The Epilogue for Vindication of James Potter is in the queue right now, so look for that to come out really soon. :)
Growing up as Albus Potter was not an easy task, and being the son of the Chosen One wasn't a piece of cake, either. Expectations of greatness have the startling ability to crush someone, especially an eleven-year-old boy.
Join Albus Potter in his rocky journey to adulthood and what it's like to live, to learn, to love, to lose, and to be the middle child.
This story is going to be epically long, and yes, I will update. It may not come as fast as the updates to The Vindication of James Potter did, as I'm posting this as I write it, but I do promise that this story will not fall victim to apathy. Hopefully, you enjoy this story if you decide to read it. :)
AWWWWWWWW........poor Albus. Great way to start off a story. I'm excited to see where it goes from here.
I'm glad you like it. I should really stop being lazy and update, but I've had a million things going on. Not a GOOD excuse, but it is the one I'm going to use. :D
Thanks for reviewing.
