Summary: How Tom Riddle dealt with Valentine's Day, his seventh year at Hogwarts.
Written by AidaLuthien of Hufflepuff as part of the February Fiction Junction, I Challenge Thee, challenge. Late because she got the category wrong and midterms got in the way. Prompt was to write "a one-shot about how Tom Riddle celebrated a Valentine's Day at Hogwarts" and was set by Amorentia x.
Great story. I'm submitting it to the Quick Quills contest.

Summary: A revealing tale starring everyone's favorite ginger and brunette pair. It's been a year since the defeat of Voldemort, but things are far from over. After a year of absence, Ron and Hermione are back again at Shell Cottage to help Fleur prepare the house for her baby shower. Needless to say, old memories come to the forefront and painful discoveries are made. Hearts are broken and healed again.
Wow, this is very strong work. It's very deep and emotionally powerful. It really touches me. You excellently captured the essences of the character. Congratulations on your first 3 chapters, and I can't wait to read more!
Author's Response: once again, thank you for the praise. im just happy to be here, writing about what i love to write about. (hp of course.) im glad that it touched you, though. in terms of the characters, i just wrote them how i think they should be, (entirely grounded in canon of course.) but ill be sure to send out some more chapters as soon as i find the time to do that. :)
The Colour Red by rather_be_athogwarts

Summary: It was Christmas time at Hogwarts once again, and the Gryffindor common room looked particularly festive. There was a huge Christmas tree in the corner, the tinsel glittering in the glow of the fire place. Red and gold garlands were hung around the room, as well as several sprigs of mistletoe. Reddest of all though, was Hermione’s face.
I think this is well written so far. Hermione and Ron's character are accurate and easy to believe. I eagerly await your next chapter!
