The Resilient by Misdemeanor1331

Rated: Professors • 701 Reviews Past Featured Story
Summary: Sequel to "An Aversion to Change."

It's Voldemort's world now: a world of corruption, betrayal, greed, and violence. A world of evil thoughts and evil deeds, where no one can be trusted, especially those closest to you.

But through it all, there must be strength. There must exist those who will stand up to totalitarian rule, who will say no when others submit, who must survive despite their condition. There must exist the resilient.

Eventual Draco/Hermione with plenty of plot. Very dark, so read at your own risk!

Summary: For those of you who won't be reading the sequel, or for those of you who are but don't like it, or maybe even for those reading the sequel and enjoying it, but interested to see what else I came up with.

Take Me In by rachelll176

Summary: Lucius Malfoy was killed in the Final Battle, with his one wish firmly carried out. He made sure that his son Draco, would be loyal to and see the rise of the Dark Lord. The problem? Harry defeated Voldemort.

Having been locked inside his own head for a year, Draco Malfoy participated in a fictionalized battle. When he comes out of it, he's in St. Mungo's. He's learned about his condition...but it's a lot to wrap his head around.

Draco's told that he is part of a program titled Healer-To-Home. He will go live in a witch or wizard's household for as many months as the experiment will allow. He doesn't know with whom he's going to be matched with, and he's not sure he wants to...

Hermione Granger, from the good of her heart, agrees to participate in the cooperative experiment. Healer-To-Home will ensure that someone benefits from the program. Hermione knows that the patient's healing will happen better if they are surrounded in memories, but she doen't quite know how that should work. She also hasn't received the patient's name after months of learning the details of his specific 'injuries'.

Something is developing between patient and home-Healer. Is it just hormones of adolescents on the brink of adult-hood, or is it true love?

Great chapter! Please update soon. I only have one question, at Hogwarts, there were magical protections placed over the castle and no apparating was possible unless outside the grounds. Was that only durring the war? Or does france not need protection?

Author's Response: That's a good question. I guess I just figured that France was relatively peaceful, so there was no need to protect it from Apparating. There are spells to keep Muggles out, as you shall see. ;-) Thanks for the review, Jenny

I am so glad you updated! Truely. There are so many writers who have great stories written but end up abandoning them after a few years.

Author's Response: Years? Gosh! I hope it doesn't take me years to get this posted! I've almost finished writing the entire story by this point. So I definitely won't abandon it! Thanks for the nice review, Jenny
