This was amazing, though I did find a few sylable count issues that made me cringe. Only because I'm slightly OCD, however. I'm more of a Deadhead than a Beatles fan I suppose, but the Seregant Pepper record is the most psychadelic, cool, and groovy one.
Besides Magical Mystery Tour of course... I Am the Walrus blows my mind... I'd love to see something like this with 'Hair! The musical," because that's a bit of a parody in itself. Was shocked this only had eighty-something reviews. Who doesn't love sixties pop-culture?
In short- pure genius (this and Seregant Pepper). Within You, Without You and sitar are amazing, I have to add. George and Ringo all the way ;)
Lindsey Tonks appears to be a normal, almost invisible Hogwarts student, but underneath her is someone far from normal. What the world doesn't know is that Lindsey is the daughter of two well-known imprisoned Death Eaters, and has an identity she must hide from the world. Underneath Lindsey is a girl named Lyra Lestrange, a girl who is meant to be a secret forever. But will it last forever?
*Begins in GoF and follows the series through DH.
**Will appeal to fans of the Black family! Prominent characters are Bellatrix, Tonks, Andromeda, Sirius, and (to an extent) Narcissa.
Part Four Synopsis:
It's the summer after Albus Dumbledore's death, and the whole world is falling to Voldemort and the Death Eaters. Broken-hearted Lyra, unable to return to Hogwarts, must go into hiding with her family. It doesn't last long, and eventually Lyra is faced with a choice: join or die. Lyra's decision comes with many surprises, including a new ally who follows her to the final battle of good versus evil. While Lyra's path may seem clear, she finds herself torn between two sides for the final time, and in the end, despite tragedy and loss, Lyra accomplishes the impossible...which defies all of the agreements she and her family ever made.
Three years later, the fic has been completely finished! Enjoy reading it without having to wait for new chapters. Thanks to those who patiently waited and faithfully reviewed!
Ha! I knew Nott would kiss her!! Great chapter, as I've said before, I love the story. It's very well written, and the plot is extraordinarily addictive! But I do have a sort of kind of problem with the whole wrist thing. Aren't the marks supposed to be down their arms? But other than that, it's a great story. Keep writing, no matter what anyone tells you!
Author's Response: Thank you! I always thought the mark was on the wrist, but I could be wrong. Either way, she feels the pain when it's touched. I'll stick with wrist since I've already mentioned it several times. I guess one could argue it's kind of the same thing as being down their arm...kind of...anyway, thanks for reading and reviewing :)
I love cats also, Ms Norris doesn't creep me out as she used to, but I alwasys thought she and Crookshanks should have gotten into a fight. That would've been hilarious x] Someone should right a fic about that! But anyway, moving, on, this was a fantabulous chapter. However, It had me looking back and re-reading the end of the previous chapter to see if there was sonething I'd misread because it's so unexpected. But yes, absitively posoloutly fabulous.
Author's Response: That's an interesting idea! You should write the fic :) I would root for Crookshanks. I'm glad you like the chapter. I'm a bit curious to know what was unexpected about it, though. Thanks for reviewing!
There was no mention in the previous chapter about a trip to the Trophy Room. Unless I missed it... *rereads chapter*
Author's Response: Oh, I see. There was at the end, when Lyra was talking to Nott after the Quidditch match.
This was a simply fabulous chapter. Lyra is definintly maturing and emerging more as Lyra, and not Lindsey. I loved this chapter because of the exchange between Lyra and the Slytherins. But, where was Blaise Zabini when all of this was happening? Other than that, this chapter flows very nicely. I love your writing style and just the way this entire story flows. I shall be waiting on bated breath till the next installment!!
Author's Response: Thank you! She is definitely breaking away from Lindsey. Regarding Blaise Zabini, I realized he wasn't really part of the conversation and thought about putting him in, but he really had nothing to do with it. So he was working hard on his potion :) Hopefully the wait for the next chapter won't be long, so stay tuned!
I laughed so hard my cat hissed at me and ran away 'cuz I woke her up!!! Hilarious! Wish we could have seen what Dumbledore would have said about all this. “He eats dodgy custard! Drive fast over sleeping policemen in jumpers!” I almost died when I read that one. Great work! Or, as Thomas would say, "Ruddy brilliant!"
Author's Response: Thank you for the awesome review, Luna Penhallow! And oh, dear- your poor cat... Those are two of my favorite lines, because they are ridiculous :) Thanks again for your comments!
