*sigh* I'm loving this fic. Hermione/Oliver is something I never would have picked but hey I'm writing a Hermione/George so I decided to give this a go :) I'm slowly working my way through and just thought I'd leave a note telling you how much I'm enjoying this.
Wow. This is brilliant. It's such a great idea and I loved the structure but your overall flow and mastery of beautiful language just makes it even more powerful. The way you tied the ending with the beginning is so heart-breaking and real. I loved it.
Merlin. That is one of the best Harry/Hermione's I have ever read. Just beautifully bitter and tragic.
Jan! fdvsibo fdjrgbjdznxc SJDfbksjbf dz! Since Wilfred Owen's poetry is plastered across my walls at the moment, I have to say that I adore this poem. The last stanza is so potent, I could feel the thrill of reading it rise in my throat.
And death will die a thousand times
While I will face it one time only.
And as I hear the gentle chimes
Of a bell discordant, ringing lonely
Shizzle, that's going to be ringing in my ears for days. My work mates think I'm crazy because I take anthologies of poetry to work to read during my lunch break but I think they are going to think I'm crazier if I start printing all your poetry and bringing it to work in a clearfile... oh well! *can't believe I didn't discover this little gem earlier*
Wow wow wow. I just finished reading the whole thing so far! I love this fic. It has to be one of the best I have read here on MNFF! Well done! Please please please update soon because I am DYING to find out what happens next. Also, I love the fact you have included Frank and Alice. You are VERY good at charaterisation.
Please, please, please update! I love Harmony fics but no one ever finishes them! My guess is g with b and c as the two options!!!
Draco's misfired spell! LMAO
Brilliant. One of my favourite Harmony fics by far! Dark/angsty Harmony is always the best. Fluffy Harmony doesn't work very often just because of the nature of the pairing. There is something so deliciously forbidden with Harry/Hermione and you really captured that! I did like how you ended on a lighter note, though. It's like you came full circle. Well done!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the nice review! I'm really glad you liked it. I kind of see Harmony as complicated, Harry and Hermione are very much on the same level emotionally, but when bad things happen, I'm not sure that's always easy and that's what I tried to convey. Thank you again for the review!
So beautifully written! You deserved your recognition in the QSQ's. My mum is asking me what's wrong because I'm crying as I type this, She thinks my boyfriend has broken up with me. Silly mum :)
Oh I so so so enjoyed this! I loved the humour and banter between Draco and Hermione. Fantastic read!
Author's Response: Thanks for reading! I enjoy writing Dramione ;)
That was great! I listened to it on Audiofics and thought I better review. Also, something else made me laugh out loud to myself. I love that you named Draco's owl Attila, coincidentally I named Draco's owl Attila in one of my own fics! Perfect :)
Neither breathed, but only looked deeply into the other’s eyes, as if taking measure of some ancient touchstone, the singularity of which was nameless and peculiar. Hesitantly, without breaking her gaze, Harry brought Hermione’s lips to his and in the instant before they met, he inhaled her breath and she tasted like she was his.
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this before. This is one of my favourite H/Hr fics. It is perfect and I can just see this fitting into canon with Harry and Hermione finding solace and sort of thirst-quenching need within one another.
*sniff* That scene just broke my heart. It was perfectly awkward and sad. I'm looking forward to the final chapter : )
Author's Response: Oh, I'm so glad - it was definitey supposed to have that feel to it! However, I'm afraid that was the last chapter - they didn't get their happy ending - in this story, anyway. Luckily they did in the books!
Well I just finished listening to this today on Audiofictions. I absolutely loved this fic. It was the perfect antidote to an hour long bus ride into uni! I loved the humor but I also felt you didn't make it too light-hearted. There were times I almost cried (on the bus! Embarassing much?). I don't like it when I read a fic that treats the death of a family member with indifference because life isn't like that at all...So thankyou for your wonderful story. You made me smile!
Author's Response: Whoa, this was on Audiofictions? Where can I get my hands on this?? I want to hear! But really, thank you so much for this lovely, thoughtful review. It really means a lot to me. And have a fantastic, successful time at college!
That was great. I love the way you incorporated bits of the books into it too. It made the characters spot on.
The whole world has gone crazy, tipped on its side, changes happening so quickly that Harry can’t keep track of them all. He isn’t at the centre of it anymore – he’s drifting peacefully somewhere on the very outer rim, and he likes it this way, and he never wants to go back.
He has a dream one night. Soft hands lift him out of his bed. He opens his eyes and their faces are like maps of a country he’s never been to but has always wanted to go. They say they’ll take him to a place where all he has to is breathe.
He says okay.
After Voldemort's defeat, Harry struggles to come to terms with love, death, and the end of innocence. One-shot. Rated for very, very mild sexual implications.
This is stunning. Beautiful, poignant, sincere. I love it. You are an incredibly talented writer.
Wow this hasn't been updated in over a year! Are you still around and writing? 'Cos if you are then I really hope you continue this fic! I love Harmony!
Author's Response: I'm definitely trying to write it. I'm in my first year of college, so it's been pretty busy, but I'm going to try to work on it over the holidays! Keep checking!
Rose was a Weasley. She never gave Scorpius Malfoy a second glance. They were sworn enemies, even though they’d barely even spoken to each other. But sometimes all it takes for love to blossom is a Potions lesson, a few snide remarks and a dropped book.
Two people. Two entirely different worlds that are suddenly intertwined.
Ah! I loved the ending! I'm slightly annoyed at Rose for letting her troubles get in the way of her schoolwork but I guess that is the Hermione in me :)
Nice job as always. Can't wait for the next update.
Erm, why have I not read this poem before? Bella! I love it! You have a real knack for rhyme and flow, something that I do not. This poem is short yet it has an innately epic feel. I also love how you reiterate the opening line in the final line. FAVOURITES!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Julia! -squishes-
this is a great little one-shot. well done. i feel like you really got the characters right, especially luna. i want to know more lol which is a good sign!!!
Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much :) I'm glad you liked my Luna. She's tricky to get right. - Cassie
