A Mix of Alliances and Sentiments by mzap

Summary: Nine years after Genevieve Weasley began her lustful affair with Demetri Rosier, she begins to wonder if there's more to the relationship. No matter the answer, her connection with him has dragged her into the Purity of the Night, a group who hopes to bring the purebloods back to power, and their leader has his eye on Genevieve. Now he will stop at nothing to get her, but the cost of Demetri and Genevieve leaving could prove fatal.
Teddy Lupin, always having been suspicious of Demetri, starts keeping a closer eye on his fellow Auror as mysterious things happen between Demetri and Genevieve, beginning with her disappearance from the Auror office. He, and the rest of the extended family, are determined to find her and bring her back where she belongs... away from Demetri, who they believe could cause her more harm than good.
Remus and Tonks are so cute together. Teddy seems to be a little nosy, but I know it's just because he's concerned for Genevieve's safety so I'm okay with it. I can't say I blame Demetri for punching Teddy in the nose. He has to be under a lot of stress worrying about Nathaniel's next move and keeping Genevieve safe. Anyway, I enjoyed the new chapter. Looking forward to the next one. Nice job mzap. :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much! (Remus and Tonks are always cute together, lol.) Yes, Teddy is very much concerned, and the new problems arising are not helping. I don't blame Demetri either, especially with how Teddy jokingly suggested as Demetri's rebellion. Someone might want to go check on Genevieve... just saying. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! :)
My suspcions were correct. She did lose her baby. Poor Genevieve. I hope this doesn't turn her bitter and cold. I have to agree with Demetri though. It’s for the best. Nathaniel would have done everthing in his power to train the baby in the pureblood ways. Sad chapter, but I still enjoyed reading it. I'm looking forward to the next update. Nicely done, mzap. :)
Author's Response: Thank you very much for the reply. :) Yes, it was unfortunate that Genevieve lost the baby, but there was no way he/she could have survived through all of what Genevieve went through. Lol, Genevieve has always been cold to everyone, but she will be a little more so in the coming chapters. Thanks again for reading! :)
I'm sorry I didn't read this sooner. I missed your stories. I must say Genevieve reminds me of her Aunt Ginny. Full of fire and able to stand on her own two feet. Right now I have mixed feelings about Demetri. I don't know whether to like him or hate him. Anyway, I'm enjoying this story and look forward to reading more.
Author's Response: Crystal! I don't mind about not being able to read this sooner. Lol, I knew you would say that about Demetri. If you had read the prequel to this (which I'm sorry you can't), you would have greatly disliked him. As for this story... I'm keeping my mouth shut on that. I'm glad you liked this story. :)
It was nice to read this chapter and see Tonks and Remus as an older couple, and to read about Teddy and Victoire as a married couple. Nice job. I'm looking forward to reading more.
Author's Response: Oh, yes, Remus and Tonks together. You knew I couldn't keep them apart! As for Teddy and Victoire, it's just so natural to me for them to be a couple. Same with everyone else. Again, I'm glad you liked this.
Thank goodness nothing really serious happened to Genevieve when she was in that horrible frozen state. I like Healer Jacobs and thought it was funny the way he kept whacking Demetri over the head with his cane. I'm glad the baby was okay. The dream Genevieve had at the end was scary. I hope it doesn't come to pass. Anyway, I enjoyed reading the new chapter and I am looking forward to reading the next one. Nicely done, mzap. :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much for reading! :)Yes, Genevieve is safe... for now. However, Demetri is still going to have to stay on his toes. I quite like Healer Jacobs, too, and that happens to be one of my favorite parts in this chapter. As for the dream... well, can't exactly saying anything, now can I? :) Thanks again for reading and reviewing! :)
This was a sad chapter. You wrote it beautifully though. I felt so many emotions while reading it. Poor Genevieve. It's going to take her a long time to get past the rape and the miscarriage. Demetri is being wonderful with her. I can't believe I ever disliked him. Nicely done. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you, Crystal! Yes, it will take a while, but it's definitely good that Demetri is there for her. And well, before, he was a different person, but he's matured through the ages and now realizes what's important to him. Thank you again for the compliments and review. :)
Nathaniel seems like quite the character. I can honestly say I don't like Demetri's father. I'm still not sure about Demetri though. Anyway, I enjoyed reading this chapter and now I'm off to read the next chapter. :)
Author's Response: Oh, Nathaniel. His character is definetely an interesting one to write; he is easily the most evil one that I have ever written and I enjoy it all the same. At that same token, Leopold is funny and Demetri, I love writing his character. Thanks for reading, Crystal. :)
Oh my, this chapter was full of suspense. I wonder if Nathaniel is the one killing all those muggles. Something makes me think it's Demetri, or his father. Just guessing. It will be interesting if Genevieve agrees to be used as bait. Lol, I loved the part where Teddy told Tonks to go home and be with Remus, and she told him Remus was boring. Please post again soon. :)
Author's Response: I can safely say that Demetri is not killing Muggles; he's too busy with Genevieve. As for Genevieve being used as "bait", she will outright say no and no one will question the decision. Besides, little is still known about the entire thing. The next chapter will reveal a lot as to what is going on. Hopefully it will be up soon; its in the queue at this moment. Oh, and for Remus and Tonks, I've always had the image that Tonks will still want to be working for a long time (if they hadn't died *sob*). Thanks again for reading. :)
Thank goodness Freya arrived when she did. I hope Demetri isn't killed. The ending was beautiful. I enjoyed reading this as I always do. Nicely done, mzap. Sorry for the short review. Longer one next time, I promise. :)
Author's Response: Thank you, Crystal! Yes, it was good that Freya arrived in time and thank you about the ending. I loved that part too. Thanks again for reading and reviewing! :)
No! How could you kill Demetri? You are evil I tell you. Lol, just joking. It was such a sad chapter, but written beautifully as only you can write. I won't hold Demetri's death against you. We writer's do what we have to do. I promise to stick with you until the end. Poor Genevieve. At least she and Demetri had one last night together. Looking forward to your next chapter. Nicely done. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Crystal. Glad to hear that you'll stick with this story. And it was nice that they had one last night, before this happened. Thanks again for reading and reviewing. :)
Genevieve is missing? Something tells me that Nathaniel doesn't have anything to do with her disappearance. I'm probably wrong, but I'm thinking that she went into hiding somewhere she would be safe. Just a guess. Poor Ivette. I hope she will be all right. If Genevieve was taken by Nathaniel I hope he doesn't do anything to her. Please update again soon. I must know what happens next. Nice job mzap. :)
Author's Response: Lol, Genevieve is actually still at the apartment with Demetri. Given Nathaniel's order that "a woman's place is in the home" from a couple chapters ago, Genevieve is forced to stay home. In turn, Demetri has to lie and say Genevieve is ill and can't come to work, also because Nathaniel has told him that he cannot tell the truth (he does and it could break the Pureblood Alliance Contract). However, Teddy doesn't believe Demetri and that's why he thinks she's gone missing, and since he can't check the apartment, he has no way to confirm her safety. Thanks so much for reading! :)
It was sweet of Demetri to leave Genevieve a letter. This was such a sad chapter, but beautifully written. I especially liked the dream at the beginning. It made the rest of chapter more poignant. It was nice to see a little of the old Genevieve at the end. I enjoyed reading this. Looking forward to the next chapter. :)
Author's Response: Thanks, Crystal. I'm glad you liked the chapter. The "dream" at the beginning was more of a memory, as I recall; Genevieve just can't seem to escape any of it. The end bit was fun; Demetri may be dead, but Genevieve still knows how to take care of herself. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
It was a horrible thing to do, leaving us with a cliffhanger, but I forgive you. I knew the minute Tonks read that piece of parchment that it was a trap they were going to be walking into. Poor Genevieve. She's been through so much. I have a horrible feeling she miscarried the baby. Please update again soon. I enjoyed reading this. Nicely done, mzap. :)
Author's Response: Thanks, Crystal. Yes, I apologize about the double cliffhanger, but it was far too tempting. :P It was hard for me to put Genevieve through so much, but that's the way the plot went.... Thanks again for reading and reviewing! :)
I have a feeling Genevieve spent the night with Demetri and that he is the guest staying with her sister. I've always had a feeling that he wasn't really dead. I guess I should read the next chapter to find out. :)
Author's Response: Nice guess, Crystal! Yes, I guess it would be nice to have Demetri alive again. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
I knew it ! I knew he wasn't dead. This was excellently written, mzap. I have to say this is my favorite chapter so far. The plan Demetri came up with was brilliant. Well done. :)
Author's Response: Thanks, Crystal! I'm glad you liked this chapter so much and Demetri's plan. Hopefully, it'll work. :)
I like Demetri's mum. I can't say the same about his father. Poor Freya. I feel so sorry for her. Standing by and watching her pig of a husband having an affair with the help. I was cheering her on when she told the maid off. The whole scene with Nathaniel killing that poor Clarke fellow made me mad. I wish someone would do that to him. I hope Demetri and Genevieve and their baby survive. Nice chapter mzap. I'm looking forward to reading more. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Crystal. I also like Freya, but she doesn't mind the affairs. She's never loved Leopold and she finds other things to do. As the for the Clarks, it was tragic, but necessary to show how much the Pureblood Alliance Contract affects people. With Demetri, Genevieve, and the baby... won't say who will survive. ;) Thanks again for reading this. I always love hearing what you have to say.
I hope their plan works. I have a horrible feeling that Nathaniel will discover the truth and that wouldn't be good. Well I'm off to read the next chapter. Nicely done, mzap :)
Author's Response: I agree with you that I hope the plan works. Would be nice to have everything work out again, right? Thanks for reading and reviewing, Crystal! :)
Lol, Teddy related to Demetri. That's a good one. Demetri has gone soft. :) I wonder why Genevieve is so opposed to the idea of marriage. Thank you for mentioning Dobby. I miss that little elf. Nicely done, mzap. I'm off to read the next chapter. Now that I've picked this story back up again I can't seem to stop reading. :)
Author's Response: Lol, it is true. It was a fact that I had to mention on here in one way or another. :P Genevieve just doesn't like the idea of staying tied to one person forever. She would feel enclosed and would end up fighting it to no end. And yes, Demetri has gone soft. I'm so glad you're enjoying this and thank you for taking the time to read it! :)
I'm going to keep this review short, because I am desperate to read the next chapter. Brilliantly written, mzap. :)
I realized I had some how skipped over this chapter in my haste to read more of the story. Poor Genevieve. I hope in the end she and Demetri are together and happy.
