Summary: Nine years after Genevieve Weasley began her lustful affair with Demetri Rosier, she begins to wonder if there's more to the relationship. No matter the answer, her connection with him has dragged her into the Purity of the Night, a group who hopes to bring the purebloods back to power, and their leader has his eye on Genevieve. Now he will stop at nothing to get her, but the cost of Demetri and Genevieve leaving could prove fatal.
Teddy Lupin, always having been suspicious of Demetri, starts keeping a closer eye on his fellow Auror as mysterious things happen between Demetri and Genevieve, beginning with her disappearance from the Auror office. He, and the rest of the extended family, are determined to find her and bring her back where she belongs... away from Demetri, who they believe could cause her more harm than good.

But aside from that... wow strong chapter. First torture, then rape? And you know what I'm thinking? That that dream Viev had about Nathaniel taking Eli away? I hope it wasn't symbolic for what just happened in this chapter... things certainly don't look good for Eli
That Imperio must have been more than frustrating to Viev... such a strong, proud person bending to the will of someone else, aside from the obvious humiliation of rape. I wish Demetri had killed Nathaniel then and there... what on earth is Nathaniel thinking that involves Viev's family?
Author's Response: Thanks, TarynSage, for the review. :) And you think so about that dream? We'll have to wait and see, now won't we? With the Imperius Curse, that was another thing I considered, and why it made it even harder to write. Demetri isn't allowed to kill or cause any harm to Nathaniel, also, unless he also wants Genevieve dead; he was instructed not to early on and he is forced to listen to Nathaniel's orders by his father's commands. Oh, this just gets so much more frustrating by the minute, doesn't it? I won't take too long in submitting the next chapter, to see what Nathaniel has in mind. About Diana, as much as she'd like to admit that she was mostly doing it out of the kindness of her heart for Demetri, part of her was really wanting to win this case for herself. Anyhow, ugh I feel sorry for Genevive having to stand all of the stuffy purebloods. It seems she forgot all about asking Demetri about his family relations...hmm, that dress tut tut xD
Author's Response: Oh, please. Nathaniel makes Savage seem like a lovesick little boy. You'll see soon; Nathaniel's been the darkest character I've ever created. Savage and Olivia: you know, I hadn't thought of that.... As for Genevieve, she had some sort of idea of what she was getting into when she chose Demetri over her family. The couple tends to stay out of the pureblood scene unless the Aurors need them there or his family asks (although Genevieve gets a bit touchy there). Thanks so much for the reply! :)

This chapter was.... intriguing.... The change in Genevieve's character is puzzling. If Nathaniel was indeed there with her, I wouldn't have expected her to come out of the ordeal like that.
And then, why is she suddenly smiling at Felix and wanting to visit Ivette??? I agree with Teddy, something's wrong. Oooh dear... Nathaniel what did you do!?

Author's Response: I know, I know. Yeah, Nathaniel's been wanting Demetri dead for some time now and he finally chose to go through with it. And it did happen quickly, which is the sad part. And thanks for the compliments on the writing style; it was hard to imagine exactly how Genevieve would react given that she almost never cries and she's never had to deal with something like this. Dammit. Damn that contract. It was a good thing Teddy and Tonks thought of leaving Harry a note for backup, and that they arrived in time, or who knows what could have happened there.
I suppose Genevieve will be taken to St. Mungo's now, and I bet Demetri is beside himself with anger... things don't look good at all :S

Author's Response: hahahahaha, thanks, Taryn! You were just waiting for me to introduce her into the story, right? Demetri would be slightly upset about not knowing, but he knows Genevieve did it for the best of reasons and right now, his concern is being with his daughter. I know I already told you when Genevieve got pregnant, but I'll say it again here for anyone else who is curious (should put it at the beginning of the epilogue too). Fauna was conceived several nights before the big fight with the Purity; it was too early to tell of Genevieve's pregnancy when she was at St. Mungo's and even then it would have been confused with the symptoms of the potion. Genevieve found out of her pregnancy while Demetri was on trial and knowing that the trial wouldn't go well, she decided to keep Fauna a secret. I'm glad you enjoyed this and I promise to post the epilogue soon! Thanks for reading and reviewing! :D
Wow even Genevieve's body is rebelling... bloody Nathaniel, that was unexpected. Not what he did, but the moment he chose to do it. I guess he felt that he should lull them into a false sense of security first, then strike. Smart.
That contract is evil. Render your victim defenseless before striking, why not? Demetri must be worried sick, and now he probably won't want to leave Viev's side at all. He'll get into trouble with Nathaniel, won't he? I don't think he'll let him go with what he did to Genevieve.
Genevieve's illness is kind of strange, though. Must know more. =0
Author's Response: Ah, yes, Nathaniel is a conniving son-of-a-witch. But he's going to try to get what he wants, no matter what it takes. Demetri is scared to death, but the sad thing is is that he can't do a thing about most of it. He is forced to go to work every day and can't come home until the end of the work day, leaving Genevieve rather vulnerable. Tension is rising between the two men, but Demetri will try to keep his cool for now, as protection for Genevieve (one wrong move and it can be labeled at rebellion). As for that "illness", I can tell you it has nothing to do with the contract. ;) Thanks for reading! :D
Dun dun!! Harry should listen to Teddy, there's something fishy going on! Though, it really looks like Teddy is more worried about what's happening with the couple at a personal level, rather than a professional one... if only he knew =O
He should be more careful when spying Lol he reminded me so much of clumsy Tonks at that moment! Demetri and Genevieve sure have a big problem in their hands... I'm really curious about how they will solve it, or if it can be solved at all!
Author's Response: Lol, thanks for reading. Yes, the clumsy falling was inspired by dear Tonks (wouldn't she be so proud?). Harry does understand that there's something going on, but he's a little more trusting of Demetri (just a bit worried for Genevieve's safety). Right now, things are bit in a confusion where no one really understands what Nathaniel is trying to do. Things will start getting more serious soon. Thanks again for reading! :D

Freya's reaction was the best, pulling out Demetri's baby albums... why is it that all mum's do that? Lol. Charlie and Maddi.... their reactions should be interesting... looking forward to them, should Demetri and Genevieve feel like sharing xD
And that contract... poor Lucinda =( after what happened to them, people will be less inclined to betray Nathaniel :S

Given the past between Genevieve and her parents, I doubt they'd be happy to find out that the daughter who left them to be with a Rosier because of lust got pregnant. And most definitely, that is precisely why Nathaniel chose to show everyone just how powerful the contract is. James is about 20 right now, and I write him rather mischievous, actually. The purpose of this chapter was to clear up and try to simplify the idea of the contract, as it can get a bit confusing. She definitely needs a vacation, but I think Mexico's a little far for her to travel. ;) Visiting her family might be better for her. As for Teddy, well Genevieve wasn't exactly going to show her gratitude quite so politely, especially with Teddy wanting some sort of recognition for it. Diana and Ivette are two women not quite so pleased with Demetri for what he did to Sam, but they realized (grudgingly) that it was for the best and that he wasn't really trying to kill Sam.
