Summary: What if there were more to Remus Lupin's bite than a badly timed stroll in the woods? The arrival of a feral invokes secrets of the past and terror for the present...
Still reading. Still hoping.
Awesome. I should have realized this was where you were heading. Your hints that all was not as it seemed were huge. I did suspect. The fire-call from Albus was a dead giveaway. If Remus was dead, Dumbledore would have flooed to Winter Hollow in person. That Remus let go was just his falling into unconciousness. I've been saying for many chapters you write really, really good stuff, you've proven me right again. His unconcious self continued the fight and ultimately won. Your A/N notes also gave it away.
Summary: Three years post-Hogwarts. The final battle has started on the night of Harry's twenty-first birthday and he and Voldemort finally face off -- but Voldemort still has to play his last card to get rid of Harry -- by sending him and three of his 'friends' into the past exactly twenty-one years. The four of them now have to struggle to be accepted, keep their identities from certain persons and find a way home.
This story will contain some romance -- if you don't accept certain couples or just desperately want to know who's going to pair up, just e-mail me, and I'll tell you.
Interesting concept. If I were Harry dying from cigarette smoking would be the least of my worries.
Not exactly the way I would picture ol' Voldy making his attack, but still a reasonable possibility. I guess I would have thought it might end up being Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny being sent back. However, I like the Draco in your story and I'll just have to see where this goes.
This is proving to be an interesting story. Maybe Harry can become his own guardian?
Maybe Ron could teach the twins manners? Harry gets to know his parents a little? Possibility of getting rid of Wormtail before his betrayel? But what would the consequences be? This story is definitely going to stretch a few boundaries.
At least they're going up it the right way by talking to Dumbledore and remaining cool, calm and collected, sort of. Possibilities: Harry may get to know his parents and godfather? Can they stop Wormtail without changing the future? Harry's scar is reacting the same as it does in the future. Could this be a way to slow/stop Voldy and get them back to where they belong? Still looks interesting to me.
You may not have meant this to be humorous, but I'm laughing at just about everything. True, I do have a very sick sense of humor that most people don't understand, but this is funny. I love the Draco in this story, as well Harry and the others, and it's just too funny that Harry and Ron have to face their fathers as adults when they're also babies in this time. I just love this. If Sirius finds out I don't even want to imagine the trouble he and Harry will get into.
Am I confused? Shouldn't the intrepid four be the same age as the Marauder's and Co.? James & Lily were 20 or 21 when Harry was born if I remember correctly.
There is no doubt James will tell Lily, and she will meet the adult Jarry and know the truth. It's a mother type of thing. Snape will be back to teach Potions next year, and Trelawney will be teaching Divination this year. Meeting her might prove interesting. It's going to be a fun read.
Hmmn This could prove interesting. Lily accepts, James questins. Exactly what I would expect from both. Ron best get his act together if he wants to marry Hermione in this life as well as their future life.
I so want some things to change! The spell Voldy cast will supposedly change nothing in the future, so what is he hoping to accomplish? True dominance because Harry isn't there to stop him? He should realize Dumbledore will find a way to return them to just moments before he cast the spell and they will defeat him. Well maybe not, he is stupid and arrogant.
Why do I have the suspicion that at least two other Marauder's are going to find out about who Harry is? Lupin already suspects, Peter is pretty damn sure and absolutely terrified about it, and Sirus is just being Sirius. I've wanted to grow up to be Sirius since I read POA. Since I have no intention of ever growing up, and I''m already over the age of 50, I may not achieve my goal but I'm still trying.
Go to Dumbledore Harry! That's what you'd do in the future, so do it now. Hmmn, is this how Dumbledore guessed the extent of the connection? Adjustments are being made by the four, but what's going to happen when school starts? Wonder how long before Sirius figures out who Harry is? Remus obviously knows. Maybe we can figure out a way to stop Wormtail from realizing anything?
Author's Response: Wow, first of all thanks for all the reviews (until now)... (I hope that there will be more - I love reviews! ^^) In one of your earlier reviews you asked about the age of the Marauders... Seeing I began this story before HBP and DH came out, I hadn't been sure about their ages, so I simply guessed, taking Lucius' age in GoF as example and making them just a bit younger than he would be at that time. Anyways, I hope you'll also like the other chapters of this story, even though it isn't finished yet. ChibiChibi
Wonderfully intuitive chapter. Harry needs to know that what Dumbledore, Hagrid and James are telling him. Learn to live in the here and now, the future may not hold great things but constantly brooding about it will do you no good and could cause great harm. He still needs to tell Dumbledore about his connection to Voldy. That could prove helpful in many ways even if it doesn't change the future.
Harry's not following his father's advice, at least not yet. I'm betting ol' Voldy kills Snape's wife and children. I'm wondering if Harry and friends can be the Animagi they are in their own time. Now we get to see how the four do as teacher's, probably to people they from their own time, including Bill and Charlie Weasley.
Go Harry. I like his teaching style and I'm betting he becomes a very popular teacher. I'm also sure he or Dumbledore will receive owls from parents, especially Slytherin parents, who will think he has totally lost his marbles and/or committing blasphemy.
Curious. Could it be Professor Hayden? Could it be one of the bacheldor Marauder's? Probably not. A Death Eater?
My bet is Hermione knows about the Quidditch Cup winners from when they were students or when she was a teacher.
It's okay to put people whereever you want them to be. This is your story and it's not supposed to be canon. And who knows, in this timeline you could have everyone where they're supposed to be.
It is fun and I'm enjoying every chapter.
