I am currently finishing my B.A. in Political Science at Rutgers University. I have only been a true Potter fan for the past year. (Originally, I was only interested in the movies.) However, I am still very much caught up in the "magic" of it all. I am fascinated by the story, and I absolutely fell in love with these characters.
Summary: Sequel to Ginny's Gift. Read that story first. Harry must deal with the aftermath of Voldemort's defeat. Written pre-OOP.
I have read this story as well as Ginny’s Gift and From Across the Great Divide. I must say that I do enjoy your writing, and you do seem to truly understand these characters.
By having Ginny lose her power too, it proves that the love between them is their real power. It also reinforces what Dumbledore tells us about the power of love over evil. I also enjoyed the twist of Viktor being in love with Ginny. Interesting choice and nicely done.
If I may, I would like to offer one piece of constructive criticism. I noticed that when you write dialogue between two people, you don’t always attach a speaker tag. When that happens, sometimes I lose track of who is speaking. Because I have to “retrace” my reading, some of the flow of the story is lost. It’s just something you might want to consider for future writing. You should also note that I am a grammarian by training so I tend to pay more attention to such things than is probably necessary. :-)
But awesome stories! Please keep writing.
Summary: Hermione has been an Auror for three years. An almost usual mission forces her to dwell upon her painful past, and rethink her future. Takes place about six years after the trio leaves Hogwarts. Read and Review Please!
Note: Rated "Third to Fifth Year" just in case.
"Delusional." Well played, very well played.
Ooh, what an interesting way to end it! Is it safe to assume that you are setting us up for a sequel?
Summary: James Potter: Marauder. Lily Evans: Prefect. They're both seventh years at Hogwarts. They're also about to have a pretty interesting year--complete with a few detentions, pranks, confusion, and laughter--in which they get through school, make some trouble and maybe, just maybe, sort out their feelings for each other.
Thanks to all you who have made it possible for this story to be in the Top Tens. It was a very happy moment when I first saw my story on the list, and I love being able to go back and see it there now. Still. Yay!
Throughout the latter half of 2010, and the first half of 2011, I re-edited this story. The changes were mostly to fix stray (and annoying) grammar and spelling errors, but also to rework some plot points in an effort to stay truer to canon. I also updated the style; having written this story so long ago, my writing has definitely developed (and I would say gotten better), so I edited to reflect that. (I apologize for the errors that were in the story before all this editing. I found them immensely distressing when I reread my chapters. Heartbreaking, really.)
Big “thank yous” go to the three people who helped edit/nitpick the first edition of this novel: violagirl, fairiesandcream, and Omagus.
And yes, this story is up on Fanficition.net under the penname: Io.Sono.Emilia.
Of course, as a disclaimer, I’m not JK Rowling. The Potterverse does not belong to me, but I am in it and love it.
I liked the whole story but I particularily liked this chapter. I have often wondered what McGonagall's back story is. This was a great way to bring more depth to the character than was ever presented in the books. Good Job!
Summary: Hermione is 20 years old and working in America. She hasn't spoken to her friends in three years, until one day when a small parcel arrives unexpectedly. Soon her new world is turned upside down. Will she forgive and forget?
Cute twist at the end! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Summary: Life and love after Voldemort are beyond compare...but sometimes other evil things can be forgotten. Will Harry and Ginny's life be the same?
It's so sad that I ended up crying! Why does Harry have to die?
Summary: This follows Ron and Hermione 10 years after school.
When Hermione doesn't turn up for the group's ten year reunion at Hogwarts, Ron becomes suspicious about why Hermione is too busy to be there. But what he discovers is beyond what he ever imagined.
After seeing each other again nine years later, can Ron and Hermione find the love they shared once again?
NOTE: THIS STORY IS NOT ENTIRELY COMPLETED. IT IS TEMPORARILY STOPPED, BUT WILL BE RETURNED TO IN THE FUTURE.
Well don't stop there! What happens next? Please update!
Author's Response: I wish I could. I'm really sorry to tell you and everyone else this, but this story is stopping. I just feel terrible about not writing and posting on a regular basis, and it's unfair to you all who wait expectantly for my work which just isn't coming right now. So, I have made the decision to temporarily stop this story until my life isn't so hectic. That way, I will be able to devote the amount of time to this story it deserves. I hope I don't disappoint many people, however I feel it is best for everyone that this happens. This definitely will not be the last of me, and I will attempt to write some one-shots when possible, but right now I just don't have the time or creative inspiration to continue with this story. It will start up again one day, just not now. Again, I'm very sorry, but I'd rather this than to continue to disappoint you all with months between average chapters. HGoodbye for now, Love from Lucia_Swanne.
Summary: One of Ron and Hermione's infamous arguments in Gryffindor Tower gets slightly out-of-hand, leading to complication, confusion, and an unexpected apology. But conquering their feelings becomes only the first in a series of battles the two must face.
Wow! I feel like I should smoke a cigarette after that last chapter! Very well written and one of the better Ron/Hermione fics I have come across. I have just added it to my favorite stories.
Author's Response: Well, I take that as a nice compliment! Thanks so much for the review; glad you liked it! :)
The summer after the trio's sixth year, people gather at the Weasley's for the wedding of Bill and Fleur. Hermione goes in high hopes, expecting a relationship to heat up between her and Ron. However, her arrival at the Burrow is greeted with a rather nasty surprise...
2010: Ahaa, God, I just took another look at this story and, uh...the only defense I have is that I was a lot younger when I wrote it. Whew.
Very cute. Slightly predictable, but very cute.
Summary: Harry and Ginny are happily married with a baby on the way. When they manipulate Ron and Hermione into both meeting them for lunch, the last thing anyone expected was for Harry and Ginny to be kidnapped.
Suddenly Ron and Hermione are left with nothing more than a note and the realization it’s up to them to follow the clues and rescue the couple they both love and adore. If only the clues weren't nonsense. If only they knew who could possibly have taken Harry and Ginny. If only they didn’t hate each other. If only they hadn’t once loved each other.
Life just got a whole lot more complicated for Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
"Harry was right: there was no such thing as understanding girls, no matter how old a bloke got."
I really liked this story and I think it is one of the really good ones in the Ron and Hermione saga. You really did justice to their rather complicated realtionship! I hope there's a sequel coming!
Author's Response: Thanks! I think Ron and Hermione are really the ultimate romance of Harry Potter, and I'm glad you thought I did them justice! :)
Summary: Draco has lived a dull, solitary life under the Dark Lord's rule for the past two years. One night Pansy Parkinson steps into his life, changing everything he knows. Draco/Pansy one-shot.
This was written originally for wendelin the wierd's First Year Romance class, as the final assignment for that class.
That's so sad! You actually made me feel bad for Malfoy and that is not the easy thing to do. I hope you keep writing!
Author's Response: Even the darker characters need a little symphathy, in my humble opinion. And this is actually a one-shot, so it's not going to be continued, but I do have more stories posted. Anyway, thanks for the review! :)
Summary: They have battled evil, fate, destiny, time, even each other. Now Ron and Hermione take an emotional ride to battle something equally as treacherous….nerves.
The third installment in my “Battles” series continues here in a fluffier-than-is-normal-for-this-author tale depicting the Jitters Ron and Hermione experience when popping the big question and the events leading up to it.
If you have just found this story, be sure to read “Internal Battles” and “Battling Boundaries”. This story stands alone, but the other two will help complete the back-story. You should enjoy them too! Let me know what you think!
Disclaimer: JKR started it…I am just playing with the fabulous characters!
Oh my Merlin! I have read all of your "Battling" stories and fell completely in love with them all. Please keep writing. I want to know what happens next!
Summary: "It hurts, doesn't it?"
"Pretending you've fallen out of love."
At the lead up to Ron’s wedding, questions start to be asked - by Ron, by Hermione - and by Ron’s bride-to-be. Over the years, the paths that were once so closely intertwined have separated, leading off in different directions. Meeting at the crossroads, looking back at the journey that has led them there, will Ron and Hermione choose to take a turn that may take them off-course forever, or simply continue straight ahead? Exect humour, mix ups, twists and turns amongst Ron and Hermione's ever tempestuous relationship - now complete!
I have to be honest. I had actually given up hope on this story. But you updated! Thank you. You just made my week.
Please keep going...I am enjoying all the twists.
You better keep your promise that the next update won't take as long. I definitely can't wait another year.
Stay with it...I want to know how it ends!
Author's Response: I did! Aw, I'm so glad I made your week! The kicker is that this whole story is written, so I promise it will be complete! Next chapter will be up soon... Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!
Please update! At the risk of sounding selfish, I want to know what happens next!
Author's Response: Thank you for reminding me I had finished posting this yet - it is all written, I promise you! I'm just going on holiday for a week, then when I get back I'll finish putting up all the other chapters - I promise! Thank you for reading and enjoying the story so far.
Argh! You're leaving all of us in suspense!
I'm lovin' it but I do hope that the next chapter will be up very, very soon!
Keep going! And then what happened?
Author's Response: Hehe, sorry for the suspense - all will be revealed, as the next chapter is the last one... Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of the end...!
Oh my Merlin! It's soooo sad. Why can't Ron and Hermione stop being so stubborn and use some of that Gryffindor courage to face their own feelings? There's just no way either of them could love anyone else the way they love each other.
It's very sad.
Author's Response: I know - they were so close! And yet so far - if they'd just had an extra second, if Hermione had only found out that Tiffany had been lying - who knows. But I think in such a sad way it did even out in the end - with Hermione marrying and having children of her own... But even sadder that they still knew the answer to their unsaid questions - which woud have been of course they should have been together... But at least they were in the actual books! Thank you so much for reading and reviewing throughout this story, it's meant a lot!
Summary: My take on the first of those 'nineteen years' between the 36th chapter of DH and the epilogue.
Warnings: contains an unusually-shaped ring, a nosy neighbour, a rude shop assistant, shaving mishaps, thoughtful gestures, threatening goblins, and, unexplained appearances of Romantic!Ron and Romantic!Harry. You have been warned.
Rating is for *mild* innuendo and *mostly* innocent interactions but I wouldn't let my 9 year old read it.
I love this story.
Please update soon!
I'm chompin' at the bit here!
Author's Response: Not had much time to write, unfortunately. I hope to soon. cj
I love everything about this story. I have been with you since the beginning and get so excited when there is a new update.
Please keep going with this and promise you won't let it die.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the kind words! Thank you, also, for sticking with me through the long weeks without updates. Stay tuned, I promise I will finish. Like Ms Rowling herself, I have the ending written already. It's just the next three chapters I need to do, and then I have the final three already set to go. cj
Summary: Harry Potter and his best friends return for their seventh and final year of school. The Wizarding world begins to rebuild itself after the events of the Battle of Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic and the Order of the Phoenix work together to round up the remaining Death Eaters, still at large.
You know, you're really not being fair. I'm all involved in this story now. Don't let it die! What happens next? Please update!
Teddy Lupin's first year at Hogwarts. Canon-compliant. Nominated for a 2008 QSQ for best Post-Hogwarts story.
The war is over, and all is well, they say, but the wounds remain unhealed. Bitterness divides the Houses of Hogwarts. Can the first children born since the war's end begin a new era, or will the enmities of their parents be their permanent legacy?
This story held my attention like no other piece of fan fiction had. I just wanted to know "And then what happened?" I simply could not put it down.
Many congratulations on creating characters who seem realistic and deep and relatable. Although your plot was awesome by picking up on some themes that were really only mentioned in the series, I have to say that your characters made the story.
So, in conclusion, extremely well developed plot, amazing characters, and an overall totally awesome story.
Could Teddy and his friends possibly come back for a sequel?
