-MY FICS ARE RATED:
Coming up with a fan fic that didn't just throw Hermione and Draco together within the first or second chapter was a bit of a challenge, but it was one I wanted to take on. Building up to that first kiss is important and shouldn't be rushed! By showing the difficulties each faces, one can see how they might change to be in an otherwise non-exsistant relationship!
I've gone back and merged a few of the previous chapters, as well as added a few interesting bits! There may be some gaps or confusing parts, but please bear with me as I try to make this story the way I had intended!
If you have read this once, pleas consider re-reading it, as there HAVE BEEN SOME CHANGES.
TOXIC is NOT YET COMPLETE and has been on hiatus! Chapter 20 is half-written; I will try to complete it after DH is released. It's highly possible that I will scrap the story all together and re-write it. Many apologies.
I am contemplating changing this to GENERAL FICTION, as it has not only romance, but mystery and a side of humor...
About A FAIR TO REMEMBER:
This is my second attempt at a Harry Potter Fan Fiction. In this story (which is 12 chapters long/19,400 words approx.), the Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione go to a Muggle fair. Despite a few simple rules set down by Mr. Weasley, things happen to the group that may or may not be beyond their control.
This story is as close to canon as I could get it (though Harry IS a bit OOC)--and takes place right after the end of the 6th book. You'll see a few familiar characters, as well as one new one--whom I hope to feature in a spin-off fic with Fred and George...!
THIS STORY IS COMPLETE--and YES it ends that way for a reason. Reviews are appreciated; I look forward to hearing from you about this new story!
**POSSIBLE UPCOMING STORIES:
About DEATH EATERS' DAUGHTER:
Written in response to the NaNoWriMo Challenge 2006, "DEATH EATERS DAUGHTER" had been a fanciful notion of mine when I wondered what sort of story could be written from the POV of a child of a Death Eater--without using a main character, such as Draco, Crabbe or Goyle. I went even further and thought, "What if this child was forced to live in America? How drastically would his/her life change--and how would they cope?".
This is 16-year-old Euphenia Mortimus' story. It involves a betrayal, murder, mystery, magic, friendship and perhaps some vengance. All for the sake of a forgotten Horcrux belonging to You-Know-Who.
I have TWO solid chapters written for this story, but have put it on the back-burner for a bit. I MAY CHANGE THE NAME OF THIS STORY BEFORE I POST ANY OF IT!!
--I have sketched a plot for a short story from Crookshank's POV.
--The OC from Toxic, Anya Elizabeth Borgin, can be found HERE
--Anya and Neville have exchanged letters in another piece I've written, but I doubt anyone will ever see that.
--A Fair to Remember was conceived in October and for 10 months languished with just a skeleton of one chapter.
--It took me 14 days to write A Fair to Remember.
--I research all the facts in my stories to the best of my ability, using the books, MN ENCYCLOPEDIA or the HP LEXICON.
Thanks for looking at my profile and I hope you enjoy the stories as much as I have fun writing them!

While searching for another story, I came across this one. Curious, I decided to read it and was awed by its simplicity and the interesting take on Dumbledore's fascination with socks (not to mention the ingenious family tradition, as told by McGonagall)! A great short story--and a wonderful read! THANK YOU!
Author's Response: Thank *you* for your kind words! :-)
This was the FIRST humor fan fic I've ever read here on MNFF and I LOVED IT! This story was highly recommended by many people on the forums and I am glad I took their suggestion! I found myself laughing so hard at the list! When Harry, Ron, & Hermione finally view it and add to it--Sirius passed on the torch to his godson... AN EXCELLENT READ! I'm giving you a 10!
"annie" recommended this story (it's listed as a favorite), so I decided to try it out. I AM GLAD I DID! What wonderfully hysterical banter--and in rhyming verse! That is very clever. There were so many great parts, but my favorite was everyone gawking at and conversing about Hermione's rear! You are truly talented; I giggled loads! This is probably the best and most original humor fic on this site. Keep up the extraordinary work and I am looking forward to reading the next parts!
Good Gravy! I added this story to my favorites list long ago and didn't leave a review! *facepalm* This story is fantastic; I love the well-writen dialog and Chaper 5 is my favorite so far. I am hoping you update soon. Very sorry for not leaving a review earlier! ;)
Author's Response: You are too kind! Thank you so much!
This was a wonderful story from a wonderful writer. The conflict that DM has to struggle with seems so real, that one actually begins to feel for him. To be able to provoke feelings from your readers like that is a true mark of a great writer. The last chapter is the best; Harry's article about HG/DM was touching--it made me cry. Knowing they were together at last, but for a short time, seemed ironic and sad. However, a wonderful thing did come from their joining, and perhaps one day little Nathan will have a story of his own... I added you to my favorites list well before reading this story, and now I am very glad that I did so. I love ALL of your writings involving HG/DM, and hope to see more. *GREAT WORK!*
I found this story via a recommendation on MNFF Forums. Seren, THANK YOU so much for capturing the TRUE Neville Longbottom; if only others would write him like this! I was touched by this amazing story--and how you were able to it in such a short and sweet one-shot. WONDERFUL!
Again, here is another fantastic HG/DM story I've added to my favorites and didn't leave a review! *facepalm* ....I like the path this story is taking; Draco is right on the money. I loved reading this story! Looking forward to your next update (which I do hope will be soon...)! A PERFECT 10!
I continued reading the story from chapters 19-23 (I haven't checked your story in a while--lol) and each one was better than the next! I shouted "HEY! NO FAIR!" when I got to the end, because cliffhangers are horrid! ;) The tension between Hermione and Draco is building to a great crescendo; how will it end? This a wonderful story and I'm looking forward to the next chapter! KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!
The reaction of not just Ron and Harry, but Hermione also, was perfect; well-written! :) I honestly thought Ginny was going to contemplate suicide whilst sitting in the Astronomy Tower and was glad when she, ultimately, decided not to mope and take charge! That entire scene was beautifully written--I could almost feel the chill in the air and hear the sound of frozen flakes hitting the ground! Now that Hermione knows the truth, I wonder what is going to happen to now? And detention with Pansy ought to be interesting...! A very good chapter, Rachel; I am glad you let us know it was posted! A+++ and 10/10
Having said earlier in the day, "I haven't found any well-written non-Hermione/Draco shippers!", I stand thoroughly corrected. I have added you to my favorites (after one chapter!) and look forward to reading more. This is truly a wonderful beginning to what I know will be a FANTASTIC story!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! You do not know how much that means to me!! I'm truly flattered that I changed your mind! I really hope you like the rest of it!
I think I follow CraftySlytherin when I say "ARGHHHH! They DIDN'T KISS???" Jeez! ...LOL--the story is rolling along nicely--just as I suspected!
Author's Response: Yes, they didin't kiss...I know, what a bummer. I'm really glad you liked it!!
When Ginny discovered Harry & Bridget meeting in secret, I nearly fell to the floor. I had a VERY similar experience in high school and it was JUST AWFUL! I am rooting for Ginny to get her man in the end, but if it's not to be, then I'll just...oh heck, I don't know!! LOL (P.S.: A very good chapter!)
Author's Response: I love it when my readers can empathize with the characters, and I try putting things in like that so it makes it more understandable and enjoyable to read. I am so glad that you could relate with her! Anyway, I'm happy that you liked the chapter!!
I would have laughed if Ginny pulled a "Hermione" and hit that foul, evil, loathsome, little cockroach--and I wasn't talking about Draco this time!
Author's Response: Ha, yeah, me too. That would have been pretty funny, hehe.
Draco is lower than a Flobberworm, Hermione is a great friend, and Ginny missed her chance to tell Harry how she feels???? *facepalm* This is the BEST Harry/Ginny fan fic ever!! (Seriously!!)
Author's Response: Ginny misses her chance to do a lot of things, as you're going to find out soon enough. I'm so thrilled that you feel this way about my story, you've really made my day!!
Ron and Hermione doing Potions Homework in the Broom Closet: Priceless!
...and I think I know who the necklace is from, but I will continue reading this AMAZING STORY to see if I am right!
Author's Response: Yes, I didn't originally plan on any Ron/Hermione, but Ginny's walk to the owlery just seemes to plain, and it seemed necessary. I really liked it, the humor aspect and adding a little more relationship to the story, so I left it in, and kept going with it, as you'll soon find out!
I knew it! I knew it! *happy dance* I just KNEW the necklace was from Mr. Flobberworm *chuckle*! One more chapter to go....will I be able to stand being left in suspense?
Author's Response: Yes, it was from the infamous Draco! I don't know if you'll be able to stand it, it gets pretty intense (or so I've been told)...
This story has me sitting on the edge of my seat screeching for more! If I ever get around to writing a Harry/Ginny fan fic, I can only hope that mine will be half as good as this. I bow down to your unique ability to provoke feelings from the readers with a few well-chosen words. Please update soon--and if you ever need a Beta, please let me know!
Author's Response: Thank you soooo very much!! Your reviews have made my sunburned, no voiced, overall exhausted day so much better! (If you're wondering why I've got all that wrong with me it's because I just got back from going to cheer camp with my HS squad, and that is what has become of me in three day...*sigh*) I updated the day before I left, which was Wednesday, and now it's Saturday, so hopefully the next chapter will be up either later tonight or tomorrow. Currently, I'm not looking for a beta, but if I find myself in a corner or need any help, I'll definitely come to you first! Thank you so much for the offer! You're reviews have been great, and I'm really glad that you like my story so much! I know that the next chapter will not leave you dissapointed (it's my personal favorite) so keep your eye out for it! Thanks again!
And here you thought I wasn't going to submit a review--LOL! I LOVED THIS CHAPTER! Draco is such a snake (pun intended). Typical for a woman scorned to not think things thru--loved that part too. Can't wait to see what detention will be like--and Mrs. Weasley's reaction! Howler?? Hmm. I actually have a picture in my mind of Ron literally blowing his top when he gets wind of the rumors; Draco had better watch out--unless Harry gets to him first! OH, THE DRAMA! WOW, Rach--an incredible story thus far!! :) RATING: 10 x INFINITY
Author's Response: I am so glad that you liked it! Drama is my middle name! I can't write this story without it! As soon as you think something is calming down, or things can't get any worse, they do! Everything you asked about will be answered during the next chapter! I'm so glad that you liked it!
The premise of this story is hysterical! I almost choked when I realized RITA SKEETER was the gameshow host! ...when she told Voldemort he'd be disqualified if he killed Harry, I nearly died from laughter! ...and who knew ol' Voldy is allergic to pickles! LMAO!
Researching paid off; I was completely convinced! A fantastic story thus far, Sunny_June! Please update soon!
