Join Albus as he experiances his first year at Hogwarts and begins the journey out from under his father's collosal shadow, if he can survive it of course!
Meet the new Tenacious Trio, Albus Potter, Scorpius Malfoy, and Rose Weasley
Ha! Good to see Snape at a loss for words.
Good chapter in an excellent story. Keep up!
Glad you like it! I've always thought that Harry naming a son for him would blow his mind LOL!
Summary: Albus Potter asks for a bedtime story, so Harry tells him a magical tale about twin brothers who learn a lesson about life and laughter from their mentor, Zachariah Zonko. This story was written for the May One-Shot Challenge by Gmariam of Ravenclaw.
Excellent story, it has a bit of everything in it and it's great how you mixed little Albus and Harry's moments with the Terrible Twins' antics. I really enjoyed it!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed reading it, since I enjoyed writing it. I really appreciate the review!! ~Gina :)
Summary: Draco somehow managed to get his very own advice column in Hogwarts' school paper, where he gives his sage opinion to those who dare to ask for it. Feel free to write in for advice about love, life, school, family, anything you can think of! But remember... with Draco, you tend not to get the answer you expected!
it's settled... from now on I'm a loyal reader of this hilarious column! Until next time!
Author's Response: I'm happy to have you!
Summary: What Sirius and Regulus Black's last conversation might have been like. A little insight into the Black brothers' interaction, and something that Sirius would never know about Regulus. One-shot.
wow. beautiful one-shot.
Summary: Fred and George Weasley get an idea for a prank from doing something they thought they would never do—their Potions homework. Follow them on their journey through pranker’s block, powdered bicorn horn, Muggle food coloring, a random fish, a suction cup, Harry with a toothpick, a very dry avocado, and much too much flour. What happens when this seemingly innocent prank turns wacky? One-shot.
Merlin, who could have thought pranks could be that dangerous? Story's hilarious
Author's Response: Thanks! I always wondered what it would be like when one of the twin's pranks backfired. I guess that's a compliment!!!
Summary: In the dead of the night, someone steals Harry's Marauder's Map.
Insanity, hilarity and catastrophe, of course! (This wouldn't be a humour story if it didn't, would it?)
As different people try to activate the Marauder's Map, the four infamous Marauders answer back, in their own wonderful style.
Too soon to say for sure, but the story seems to promise a lot of fun! Is the next chapter coming soon?
Author's Response: Oh, I'm glad the story seems fun! Fun is what we aim for!
Unfortunately, I've got to revise my status on the next chapter. I have it written, but this entire story is so terribly old, so I've decided to rewrite the chapters, and then post them on this site. You've got to see how OOC Harry is in the second chapter.. Brrhaghsjdaksjd! *shudders*
Thanks for the review!
Summary: 'Keep her - them - safe. Please.'
'And what will you give me in return, Severus?'
'In - in return?'
(DH, chapter 33)
Snape is so complex, isn't he? You did an amazing job in letting some rays of light shine through his desperation, mixing the Snape Harry meets at Hogwarts with the Severus Lily knew... Very good!
Summary: We kept it safe and slow, the quiet things that no one ever knows.
Remus Lupin had always known something would come between his and Sirius' relationship, he just wasn't aware that it would involve the deaths of his best friends.
‘Do you think I’ll let you down? Well, I won’t.’
The story is beautifully written, though I think both Sirius and Remus are a bit OOC. Didn't Sirius suspect Remus of being the spy? If they had been lovers, he would have suggested Remus as substitute Secret Keeper, I think, or at least he would have talked things over with him and found out about Peter. I really don't think S/R could have happened, besides, Remus/Tonks is too perfect a shipping to think of someone else in R's life.
Author's Response: Yes he did begin to suspect Remus, this is why he left. Thank you for reading in spite of not liking the Remus/Sirius ship. ~ Cassie
Summary: Every year, Severus finds himself writing a class plan for a subject he believes he will never teach. However, it has become a ritual of sorts, and rituals must be observed.
This was an entry for the Summer Challenge in the Educational Decree category... and won second place!
Beautiful. You have cast a bit of light on a side of Snape I never really think about, the bitter but reassuring routine he has found in Hogwarts to cope with his sorrow. It's good the way he uses what happens around him for his class plans, sounds very in character. The title of the chapter is also perfect, it conveys the ritual and at the same time hints that this year said ritual will be shattered.
It's been over thirty years since Harry defeated Lord Voldemort, yet a new threat hangs over the Wizarding World. The Exército de Leoa are a faceless organization who will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. The only problem is, no one knows what they are.
Draco and Astoria Malfoy crossed them, and they paid the price in Azkaban. Their son Scorpius wants them free, and revenge on The Exército de Leoa. There's only one way to achieve this, and that is to find Harry Potter. But the old hero has fled, for reasons no one can clarify.
Scorpius and his wife Lyra know that they have a limited amount of time in which to do this. What they don't know is what they're searching for might not be the solution...
Quite an intriguing beginnig. Keep up!
I will, and thanks for reviewing!
More and more interesting... hope you'll update regularly!
By the way, I love your descriptions. It's almost as if I was in Knockturn Alley with them...
Summary: It is often said that history is written by the winners. But what about the losers? We all have a story to tell even the worst of us. A family torn by a regime of hate. A group they once thought powerful and righteous has turned against them. A reputable family tossed to it limits making them question all they believe in. This is the story of the Malfoys. A family tested during one of the greatest wars in Wizarding history.
I think Narcissa's portrait is quite accurate, she looks like a strong woman who knows what she wants and cares for but isn't used to take things into her hands and is probably unaware of her own strenght because she was never required to use it before - perfectly canon, in my opinion. I also like very much the glimpse of Severus through her eyes, it's very well-written.
Guess Bellatrix will be your real challenge, though, she's not easy to make believable. So far, well done!
Author's Response: Thank you so much, LunaforGryffindor. I truly appreciate your review. Just to give you the heads up, Bellatrix will make an appearance in Chapter Three, and she was quite a challenge. I only hope I can make you and fellow readers proud.
Again, excellent characterization of Narcissa. And a good try with Bellatrix, too. Keep it up, it's really interesting!
Summary: James Potter was given his Invisibility Cloak at eleven years old. He never once doubted its protective powers.
Unfortunately, Lily Potter doesn’t have as much faith in the cloak as James does.
This story tells why James believes in his cloak and his attempt to convince Lily what he believes is true.
I am mudbloodproud of Hufflepuff and this is my entry for the Summer Challenge in the Hallows prompt. This entry won Second Place in the Hallows prompt.
By all means, continue! Story's interesting, can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Thank you for your review. I am currently working on a couple plot bunnies to continue this story. Terri
Summary: Once again the four most mischievous boys Hogwarts has probably ever seen have been caught when executing a prank. The consequences? A detention. But they never saw this detention coming…
Brilliant plot! Give us more!
Author's Response: Chapter one shall be up shortly. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Summary: What do you do when you realise that the one person you thought you would be with forever isn’t really the one you want to be with forever?
What do you do when you are suddenly and inexplicably drawn to someone you never thought you could love?
What do you do when that person happens to be Draco Malfoy?
Author's Response: Thank you!
Summary: Hugo Weasley is a great kid. He is a master at Quidditch, chess, maths, and books. He can't wait until his first year of Hogwarts like all his cousins and his perfect older sister, Rose.
That's why he's devastated when it doesn't come.
Hugo and his family must now figure out how to cope with this new situation. Will Hugo attend a Muggle school, befriend non-magical children, and somehow remain Ultimate Master of Chess through it all?
Find out through the eyes of an eleven year old boy in his journal.
wow, this story caught me completely off guard! I never imagined what could be like for one of the Weasley grankids to be a Squib. How will they all cope? I hope Ron is not going to be a prat and hold it against his son...
By the way, I love the 'journal' style.
Author's Response: Haha, yes, I don't know where I got the idea...I've never seen one like it on the archives, so I thought I could be original and avoid cliches and whatnot. Plus, I really liked the idea.
Summary: He was the family's little angel with nothing to lose, except himself.
I love Sirius as a caring big brother. Hope you'll continue the story.
He was tired of living in the same world as Harry-Bloody-Potter, and yet was not so obliging as to leave it by dying.
Author's Response: Arrr! Ye put the jolly in me Roger!
Summary: Death. It is usually a simple thing, but when Harry Potter gets involved things have a tendency to get a whole lot more complicated. Death himself must get involved and he hasn't had this much fun in years.
Snickers. I always suspected the horrid sweets were horrible...
Great story, I don't usually like the "Voldie's Harry's daddy" plots but this one is haping up to be interesting anyway. Death is BRILLIANT! Oh, I hope we'll here more of his opinion of the Peverells...
Please update, the cliifhanger you're leaving us with is NOT nice!
Author's Response: Thanks. The rest of the story so far is posted on FFN, though that version has not been beta'd. My previous beta got busy and couldn't continue, and I don't have the time nor inclination to edit and re-edit and edit again just to get the story on this site. Especially as I think my original version is good enough and more than readable, but I digress. Perhaps some day I'll have a beta go through the story and repost everything on here for anybody that has some irrational fear of FFN. Though, I admit, having seen some of the stuff posted there I can completely understand not wanting to touch that site with a ten foot pole. Frankly, some of the stuff there scares me, I fear for the human race.
