Summary: Fred and George's Hogwarts years, from their very first trip to Diagon Alley to their infamous final flight from Hogwarts.
You write Fred and George just like I've always imagined them! and I like your Bill very much, responsible and cool at the same time. Will you write again?
Summary: A sixth year fic that explores what might happen if Harry moves past the angst and starts to put his life together and has a few things break his way for a change.
Please please update! *kneels and beg shamelessly*
I know there is another link to this story with a few more chapters, but for some reasons it dosn't work!
Have mercy, this story is beautiful and I love your OC, I want more!
Please update here as well...
Summary: A late night meeting between the two Black brothers will affect the outcome of the war in ways neither of them intend. One-shot.
You put into writing a scene I had always imagined and you did an incredibly good job of it!
Both Sirius and Regulus are perfectly in character, and you managed to portrait their tense relationship wonderfully in so few lines. I think you kept a good balance between the two brothers, neither one is 'stealing the scene'. Moreover, they are complex and believable, which is not easy to achieve!
I also like very much the glimpses of other characters, like the promise James demands from Sirius - that's so like Prongs - and that Sirius chooses to comfort his brother the way Lily comforts him...
It's the kind of story that makes you want to re-read it from time to time.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I am so pleased it lived up to your ideas of what would have happened. I suppose I could have kept it more canon by having Sirius obliviated at the end, but I wanted them to have that connection, to think that something lasting could have come of it. I hope that if you do come back to re-read it that it withstands further scrutiny. Thanks again for taking the time to review...you haven't quite made my day, since it's been a good one anyway, but finding your review was the perfect way to finish it!
Summary: One bite can give you a liking for red meat. Two can make you irritable at the full moon. When Bill is bitten for the third time, on the day that the full moon is due, what will happen?
I read this story because I loved 'Keep your friends close etc.' and I wanted something else by you, and I must say this one is really good too! You have a knack for writing vivid scenes that seem to play in front of my eyes without resorting to boring details in your description.
Do you write original stuff too? I would like to read something if you do...
Author's Response: Thank you for your lovely review. I haven't done anything original for a long time, and the book I did write at one stage (actually 20 years ago now!) needs serious overhauling, and was written in longhand. However, I have started something for my younger son recently...
Summary: Ron and Hermione are chosen to look after Draco and help him fit into the Muggle world after his magic has been taken away in retribution for his war crimes. Hermione, however, has been in a coma for five years after her marriage to Ron, and Draco has feelings for Ron. Add Harry to the mix and who ends up with who? Except that you know that already from the category. However, I hope I have enough to keep you reading anyway!
Beautiful story, incredibly well written. Great job!
Author's Response: Thank you very much!
Summary: Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny find themselves in a Muggle hotel in Godric's Hollow on the Winter Solstice. During an enthusiastic snowball fight, Harry and Ginny step through a stone circle that transports them seventeen years into the past. This may be the only chance Harry has to spend with his parents, and it may also be what he needs to figure out his relationship with Ginny.
The warning is for later chapters.
Edit: So, this was originally strictly a Harry/Ginny fic, but Ron and Hermione kept trying to get together too, so I felt like I had to change the category. And there's a bit of Lily/James in there too, though they're already married, and I've also added a bit of Remus/Tonks. Poor Sirius is the only Singleton (though he may manage to get a girl of his own)!
Edit: This story was cannon until after Deathly Hallows came out, so I changed it to Alternate Universe, but it's still pretty close to cannon. Only a few things will end up being different when the story ends.
Edit: I've changed all of the chapter titles to the titles of Christmas songs that I felt reflected the events in the chapters best. Tell me what you think! Does it fit?
I thought this was abandoned!
Good to see a new update!
He, he. Mistletoe is always fun...
I must say, I'm impressed, you really found a way to get them to the past that makes sense and hasn't that feeling of forced and strained most time travels have. and I LOVE the snowball fight and the way the two couple mix. it's a beautiful chapter!
It's great that you managed to get Tonks in the story, she's one of my favourite characters!
Hard to keep secrets when James Potter is around! Will they manage to not alter the course of events...?
The Lover's Snitch?!? Bit sloppy, don't you think? But the idea of a Snitch with something meaningful hidden inside as Christmas present is just... perfect!
Oh, my! An emotional breakdown, I wasn't expecting that! How will this affect the future? I can't see Lily and James sitting back and accepting it...
Oh, this is so sad! you're good at weaving different moods in a chapter without them being discordant.
Summary: It had been the best day of his life! What five year old boy could ask for anything more than a trip to a dragon reserve for his birthday? Charlie Weasley was certain that he really did have the best dad in the whole world!
This story is so cute, a real pleasure to read!
Summary: After his failed attempt on Dumbledore's life, Draco seeks refuge at the Order of the Phoenix. Sent back to Hogwarts with suspicious title of Head Boy, he is forced to share a dormitory with none other than Hermione Granger. But with war looming on the horizon and another danger even closer to home, their seventh year of Hogwarts is anything but ordinary.
A story of compelling intrigue, hidden motives, dangerous secrets, and obvious passion. Animagi, Quidditch, the Order of the Phoenix. Masquerades and riddles. Hate and love. Pleasure and pain. A blend of contradictions that, for two people, makes a truly unforgettable final year. Slow moving D/Hr with plenty of plot.
All of them are OOC in various degrees, but I like the style.
Author's Response: Glad you liked the chapter and my style, although I'm sorry you found them OOC. How did you see them deviate? Thanks for leaving a review!!
Summary: Chapter Ninety Six is posted!
This is the story of four boys. This is the story of a boy from a family he wants to escape from. This is the story of a boy who is from a family he loves deeply, but lacks the gift of a best friend. This is the story of a boy who has been living with a curse his entire life, fighting to overcome it. This is the story of a boy who wishes to show people what he can do. This is the story of how these four boys came to know each other, of how they became friends. This is the story of their unbreakable bond, of a bond that could survive any test, any trial. This is a story that will ultimately end in tragedy.
Nominated for a 2007 and 2009 Quicksilver Quill Award - Best Marauder's Era Featured Mugglenet Fanfiction, October 2011
So... fourth year is over... Now we're all waiting for the thrilling fifth year! Update soon!
Author's Response: Ah fifth year is the infamous Whomping Willow incident! I can't wait to let you all read that (of course it has to be written first...) Thanks for reading!
I'm glad a little of the light mood is back, even if is only hinted, I have missed their pranks!
Author's Response: Yeah their pranks have taken a back seat to their other problems. Thanks for reading!
Darker times, darker story... A good chapter, though it felt a bit short.
Anyway... I've been meaning to say this for a while, I really like the way you write Peter. Too many ff make him out to be bad from the very start, or simply ignore him - out of dislike, I suppose - but he wouldn't have been a Marauder if that had been the case, so I like that you give him a role as to the other three.
Author's Response: Yeah this chapter was a bit short. I used to write Peter like that, but then realized what you're saying - he was a Marauder for a reason. He deserves a role because he was part of their group, he was their friend even though he betrayed them. Thanks for reading!
Summary: Sitting in his office one summer, Albus Dumbledore has come to a conundrum. But what is the problem he has? What decision will he make? What might Professor McGonagall think of this momentous verdict? And, far away, what will be the reactions of those it affects most?
There’s only one way to find out ...
Oh, I LOVE this! All the characters are... well... in character :-), especially McGonagall trying to cope with Dumbledore's brilliant madness, and Sirius is wonderful, where on Earth did you get the idea of him flirting with that poor Elf?! It's great.
Author's Response: I haven't got a clue where half the stuff I write comes from ... but I'm glad you liked it!
All is not well.
George uses work and Firewhisky to cope with Fred's death until a drink with a friend leads to something that dulls pain better than alcohol. Emotionally torn by grief, he struggles to allow Alicia into his life...and then comes baby....
*Winner of the 2008 Quicksilver Quill Award for Best Dark/Angsty Story*
Sigh! That was good, but I wish there was a little more of it!
Author's Response: You've made me sigh happily. Thank you! I have a new story, Charlie/Vampire OFC called The Midnight Watch that I'd love you to read if you're up for a different Weasley romance. ^_^
Summary: The Dursleys have left Privet Drive and are in hiding with Hestia Jones and Dedalus Diggle. Hestia and Mr. Dursley are constantly fighting, Petunia is avoiding the wizards at all costs, and Dedalus is trying to make them all the best of friends. Meanwhile, Dudley discovers he has an interest in Harry's world, but his parents are less than pleased when they find out.
Oh, great! I had almost lost hope that this story would be continued... Welcome back!
